Dr. Sandeep Marwah Extends Greetings to Bosnia and Herzegovina on Statehood Day

New Delhi, 7 December 2025: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Chair for the Indo–Bosnia and Herzegovina Film and Cultural Forum, conveyed his warmest congratulations to H.E. Haris Hrle, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to India, and to the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the auspicious occasion of Statehood Day, celebrated on 25th November.

Dr. Marwah highlighted the growing friendship, artistic collaboration, and cultural partnership between India and Bosnia and Herzegovina. “Statehood Day is a proud moment celebrating the legacy, resilience, and national spirit of Bosnia and Herzegovina. ICMEI and Marwah Studios have enjoyed an exceptional partnership with the Embassy, and together we have strengthened bonds through meaningful cultural and creative initiatives. I extend my heartfelt greetings to H.E. Haris Hrle and the wonderful people of Bosnia and Herzegovina,” he said.

He also emphasized the active participation of Bosnia and Herzegovina in major international events hosted by ICMEI and Marwah Studios. Over the years, Bosnia has been a valuable partner in prestigious global platforms including the Global Film Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Fashion Week, Global Literary Festival, International Documentary Film Festival, and the Global Food Festival. This collaboration has contributed significantly to cultural diplomacy and people-to-people connect. The message of goodwill reaffirmed ICMEI’s commitment to deepening international relations through art, media, and culture.

ICMEI Congratulates Ambassador of Bosnia on Independence Day

Noida, India – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), under the leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, extends its heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency Haris Hrle, Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to India, and the people of Bosnia and Herzegovina on the momentous occasion of their Independence Day, celebrated on 1st March.

Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina Honored with IJC Membership


Noida: The International Journalism Centre, in collaboration with the Indo-Bosnia Film and Cultural Forum, recently honored the Patron of the Forum and the Ambassador of Bosnia to India, His Excellency Muhammed Cengic for his contribution to strengthening India-Bosnia relations, presented together by Lord Remi Ranger of House of Lord British Parliament and Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University.

The ceremony was held in Noida during 11th Global Festival of Journalism  and attended by dignitaries from all over India, including representatives from the media, government officials, and members of the film and culture fraternity. The event highlighted the potential for greater cooperation between the two nations in various areas, including trade, culture, and tourism.

His Excellency Muhammed Cengic thanked the organizers for the honor and spoke about the long-standing friendship between India and Bosnia. He emphasized the need to deepen the cultural ties between the two nations and encouraged greater collaboration in the fields of film and culture.

The Indo-Bosnia Film and Cultural Forum was founded with the objective of promoting cultural exchange between the two countries, and the honor bestowed upon His Excellency Muhammed Cengic is a testament to the Forum’s commitment to strengthening the relationship between India and Bosnia.

Noida: “We have made it a point to have an exhibition of still photographs in every Global Festival, as photographs are the base of every event related to films, television and media. This time we are lucky to have pictures displayed by H.E. Muhamed Cengic, the Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina himself,” said Sandeep Marwah President of 14th Global Film Festival Noida 2021 inaugurating the exhibition.

“What a wonderful collection, each picture is speaking its own story. I am thoroughly impressed by the Artist and the Ambassador. The natural light used for these pictures is the key point to note,” said H.E. Kamlesh Prakash High Commissioner of Fiji to India.

“If these pictures are for sale, then I am the buyer. These pictures are the collector’s items. The expression on every picture is par excellence added K. L. Ganju Hon. Consul General of Comoros in India.

“I have no words to express for the planning and setup of the Global Festival. It is better than many international festivals I have visited in Europe and America. Three cheers to Sandeep Marwah for his contribution to media and entertainment Industry,” said Mike Berry Film maker from America.

Indo Bosnian Relationships Highlighted By ICMEI

Webinar on Indo Bosnia Relationship by ICMEI

New Delhi:  A webinar was organized by ICMEI- International Media and Entertainment Industry in association with Indo Bosnia Film and Cultural Forum to highlight the Bilateral Trade and Cultural relations between the two countries. H. E. Muhamed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina to India was the Chief Guest.

“The Government of both the countries are in a very good relationship now. Our association with India was established in the year 1992; the embassy of Bosnia and Herzegovina opened in the year 1999 in New Delhi.  The Diplomatic delegations from both the countries have been visiting to take the relationship to a newer height. Two major investments by Indian groups are in Steel and Chemicals. Agreement on Trade was signed in 2002 whereas Joint Business Council was signed in 2003. The total trade between the two countries has risen from 61.1 Million US $ to 86.2 in 2018,” informed H.E. Muhamed Cengic in his keynote address.

 “one of my projects is complete but due to the pandemic I am unable to release the film. Large number of festivals planned this year including Sarajevo Film Festival, the Ballet Festival, the Music festival have to be postponed due to the present situation,” expressed Faruk Loncarevic a well known film maker from Bosnia jointly addressed the webinar.

 Replying to queries Faruk said that he was an ardent fan of Indian films and Bollywood. He mentioned that Directors like Satyajeet Ray and Guru Dutt were remarkable; film like thee idiots has appealed to him and he asks his students to watch this film. He stressed on direct communication with India to further strengthen the ties between the two countries. 

The members of Indo Bosnia Film & Cultural Forum and Consul Generals Sanjay Agarwal from kolkata and Suhas Mantri from Mumbai also spoke about India and Bosnia relations in-depth. Dr. Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI and Chair for IBFCF thanked Ambassador and Faruk for their deliveries.
