Kazakhstan Documentary Honoured with Award of Distinction at 11th GFJN

A Documentary From Kazakhstan won Award of Distinction at GFJN 2023

Noida: The Global Festival  of Journalism Noida is a cultural event, designed by International Journalism Centre, that also showcases films, music, and art from around the world. As part of the festival, the International Documentary section features a diverse selection of documentary films from various countries, covering a wide range of topics such as social issues, environmental concerns, and human interest stories. These thought-provoking documentaries provide a unique perspective on global issues and promote cross-cultural understanding among festival attendees,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah founder of Noida Film City and President of GFJN while inaugurating the film from Kazakhstan.

A film titled-January Events Facts and Arguments Kazakhstan was screened. The 11-minute film, which tells the key developments of each day from Jan. 1, 2022, to Jan. 8, 2022, has covered looters’ attacks against police and civilians and actions of law enforcement agencies from surveillance cameras, as well as personal interviews with detainees and victims. The film is Produced by National Film Studios Kazakhstan.

Ardak Kakimzhanov First Secretary Embassy of Kazakhstan and  Dr Lavlin Thadani Film maker & writer were the guest of honour. Later Dr. Marwah presented Award of Distinction to film from Kazakhstan in a grand function at Marwah Studios. The event was supported by Indo Khazakhstan Film and Cultural Forum & World Peace Development and Research Foundation.

New Delhi: The Karnataka Team of Newspapers Association of India consisting of Dr. Gururaj Nagathan editor of Peramed along with senior journalists K. Puttaswamy and Somaiya Maleyur honoured Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios for his sincere contribution to media during their visit to New Delhi recently.

“We are thankful to International Media Guru Dr. Sandeep Marwah for declaring 12th February as International Day of Journalism. We all have been celebrating all over Karnataka and other parts of the country and also foreign nations, this auspicious day now from last 11 years. We are sure soon the whole international fraternity of journalism will realize the importance of the day,” said Dr. Gururaj Nagathan presenting memento to Dr. Marwah.

Nine times World Record Holder Dr. Sandeep Marwah is the founder of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios, President of  International Journalism Centre, he is also the President of one of the biggest schools of Journalism-AAFT School of Journalism & Mass Communication, he is the founder president of one of the most exclusive Global Festival of Journalism Noida and teacher to 20,000 media professionals from all over the World.

Shaheed Bhagat Singh Remembered at 11th Global Festival of Journalism

Noida: We are feeling proud to launch the poster of Shaheed Bhagat Singh who was a committed, multi-lingual journalist. He frequently produced politically charged and socially-rooted writings on several pressing contemporary issues. He mostly wrote in three languages: Punjabi, Urdu, and Hindi and, occasionally, in English,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of 11th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2023 while  addressing the large audience at Marwah Studios.

Bhagat Singh was a trained journalist who started young. He began his journalistic journey working as an apprentice with well-known media organisations of his time, like Pratap and Vir Arjun. Significantly, he honed his journalistic craft under the editorship of Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi, a pioneer of radical journalism in India and a solid Gandhian political activist. 

In his short, creative and meaningful journalistic career – which coincided with and ran parallel to his revolutionary political life – Singh, in varying capacities, was associated with more than a dozen prestigious newspapers and magazines that were published from different parts of the country. These included Kirti, Pratap, Maharathi, Vir Arjun, Matwala, Prabha, Akali, Chand, Bande Mataram, among others.

Noida: “We are honored to declare 12th February as the International Day of Journalism, and to mark respect to this day we started Global Festival of Journalism eleven years back. Now not only in India but many foreign countries have already started celebrating 12th February as International Day of Journalism. We are overwhelmed with the success of the decision taken by International Journalism Centre,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University and President Global Festival of Journalism Noida on the formal inauguration of 11th edition of Global festival of Journalism Noida 2023 at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

“Never ever seen a festival of that stature anywhere in the World talking about journalism. I congratulate International Journalism Centre and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry for keeping this festival on the top for so many years,” said Alfredo Caldera Charge D’ Affaires of Embassy of Venezuela in India.

“The whole world has gathered at Marwah Studios. We are pleased to be part of it. India and Iran share wonderful relations and We can bring love Peace and Unity through journalism also,” said Dr. Abbas Naseri Tahiri Senior Journalist from Islamic Republic of Iran.

“ICMEI is an exclusive chamber, and it has proved to the World its worth. Global Festival of Journalism is one of the best ways to bring World closer to each other,” added Heikki Ratna President Finland Chamber of Commerce.

“I was waiting for this day from a very long time. My excitement and enthusiasm cannot be expressed in words. I am learning here every minute,” expressed Zena Chung Global Goodwill Ambassador from Seoul, South Korea.

Radio Mumbai Will be Launched on 12th February- International Day of Journalism

Radio Noida to be Launched on 12th February

New Delhi: “There can be no better day than 12th February, which is the International Day of Journalism, Radio Mumbai a new radio station online will be launched on this auspicious day during the biggest media mela Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2022,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor AAFT University of Media and Arts in a press conference talking about forth coming festival from 10th to 12th February.

“We are the promoters of first radio station of Noida City under the name & banner of Radio Noida 107.4FM. It has been eleven years and radio has become the voice of Noida. The station is serving almost a million people of Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Haryana. Our second station Radio Raipur was inaugurated last year and has also picked up very well in Chhattisgarh. Now we are moving to Mumbai,” added Sandeep Marwah.

The Radio will be launched on 12th February during 10th Global Festival of Journalism on International Day of Journalism. The broadcasting will start from the next day- which is World Radio Day-13th February.

The promoter of Radio Mumbai Sandeep Marwah is the founder of Noida Film City and President of Marwah Studios. He has been nominated   as the National President of Media and Entertainment Service Committee SSD 13 of Bureau of Indian Standard, Ministry of Consumer Affairs Food and Public Distribution. The event is going to be supported by ICMEI-International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, IJC- International journalism Centre and AAFT University of Media and Arts.

Noida: A new award has been constituted for the foreign journalist who all have contributed a lot to the global unity by the management of Marwah Studios to be presented during the second day of 9th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2021.

“We are humbled to declare Marwah Studios International Award For Excellence in Journalism for bringing love peace and unity through journalism. There may be few journalists this time as this rare award shall go to all those who have done commendable work on the international platform,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and    Global Festival of Journalism.

Global Festival of Journalism, one of the most exclusive events of the World was planned ten years back to support the constructive and positive journalism and to mark respect to 12th February as International Journalism Day by International Journalism Centre. The 9th edition of the festival is fixed for 12th to 14th February 2021.

The festival is going to be online. It has been supported by the journalism department of AAFT University of Media And Arts together with ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry. International Award Excellence in Journalism will be presented on 13th February at five PM Indian Standard time.

IJC Will Celebrate 13th February With New Radio Station at Raipur

Raipur: AAFT University of Media And Arts has decided to have its own radio station under the name and banner of Radio Raipur at the University campus to be launched on World Radio Day which falls on 13th February every year.

We all are very excited for the launching of our radio station at University site on 13th February to be called radioraipur.fm where all the three important segments of media that is information, education and entertainment are going to be presented like sangam of three rivers,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of the University while talking to the students and faculty on 26th January The Republic Day.

The launching of the radio station is going to be the part of 9th Global Festival of Journalism 2021 this year. radioraipur.fm is going to be online and can be heard from any part of the World. We may start politely for two hours a day but soon after all preparations we will increase the hours of broadcasting,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah renowned media person.

Needless to say, that Marwah Studios, the founders of Noida Film City, has another very popular community radio station Radio Noida 107.4Fm and has been successfully running from last ten years.

The faculty, management and especially the students of AAFT University of Media And Arts are going to be the part and parcel of the radio station. The event will be supported by ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and IJC-International Journalism Centre.

Exact Ten years back Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre declared 12th February as the International Journalism Day as there was no day till that time was marked for one of the oldest professions on earth.

“To mark respect to this global decision a Global Festival of Journalism was started for the first time on this part of the earth. Now it has been nine years the International Day of Journalism is celebrated on 12th of February every year,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Journalism Centre.

International Journalism Centre was created in the year 2007 when few known journalists from different countries decided to promote positive and constructive journalism in the World under the leadership of media guru Sandeep Marwah at Marwah Studios.

Few aims and objectives were placed on order including to start a community radio station, a community television station, a news paper to give news on art and culture, to enroll journalist associations as its members, to look into the interest   and needs of journalists and good journalism. It also aims to educate & promote young aspirants in the profession of journalism.

Later it was decided to have the most exclusive Festival of Journalism to talk to the World about journalistic activities- and Global Festival of Journalism Noida was established in 2013

“The biggest contribution of International Journalism Centre is to declare 12th February as the International Day of Journalism. Though it started in a very simple way but now the whole world has started celebrating this date as the auspicious International Day of Journalism,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of IJC.

“Being a journalist is a responsible profession. Today journalism has become glamorous because of television and social media. It makes you celebrity. Every one wants to be journalist,” said H.E. Armen Martirosyan Ambassador of Armenia to India while inaugurating the seminar on Challenges and Opportunities in journalism on the 3rd day of Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 at Marwah Studios.

Senior journalists like Data Ram Chamoli, Shivenra Kumar, Santosh Kumar Saras, Vipin Gaur General Secretary News Paper Association of India and C.M.Papne of Indian Express spoke on the subject and also interacted with the audience.

Later H.E. Armen Martirosyan Ambassador of Armenia along with other guests launched the new Calendar 2020-under the title ‘Ravishing Personalities’ designed by Seema Gumber of Zee TV fame followed by the release of news bulletin of the third day designed by the students of AAFT School of Mass Communication and Journalism.

World Radio Day Celebrated at 8th Global Festival of Journalism



World Radio Day Celebrated at 8th GFJN 2020

Noida: “On this World Radio Day, let us recognize the enduring power of radio to promote diversity and help build a more peaceful and inclusive world “ Albeena Abbas read the words written by the UN Secretary-General António Guterres to start the program of the second day of 8th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2020 at Marwah Studios.

“Radio is a powerful medium for celebrating humanity in all its diversity and constitutes a platform for democratic discourse. At the global level, radio remains the most widely consumed medium,” said Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI introducing the program to the large audience.

“This unique ability to reach out the widest audience means radio can shape a society’s experience of diversity, stand as an arena for all voices to speak out, be represented and heard,” said Narender Gupta Senior Journalist from Mumbai.

“Radio stations should serve diverse communities, offering a wide variety of programs, viewpoints and content, and reflect the diversity of audiences in their organizations and operations,” added Paresh Rughani International Motivational Speaker from London.

“Radio is a low-cost medium specifically suited to reaching remote communities and vulnerable people, offering a platform to intervene in the “public debate, irrespective of people’s educational level. It also plays a crucial role in emergency communication and disaster relief,” expressed Dr. Markandey Rai, Chancellor, Indira Gandhi Technical University.
“Radio is uniquely positioned to bring communities together and foster positive dialogue for change. By listening to its audiences and responding to their needs, radio services provide the diversity of views and voices needed to address the challenges we all face,” said Dr. Mohamed Shoukr Nada, Cultural Counsellor, Embassy of Egypt.

“The objectives of the Day are to raise greater awareness among the public and the media of the importance of radio,” added Ranjan Mukherjee, Senior Journalist.

“Radio brings people together. In an era of rapid media evolution, radio retains a special place in every community as an accessible source of vital news and information,” said H E Paulias Korni, High Commissioner of Papua New Guinea.

“The World Radio Day this year moves around the theme of "Radio and diversity." UNESCO and UN calls on radio stations to uphold diversity, both in their newsroom and on the airwaves, ”reminded H.E. Nejemeddine Lakhal, Ambassador of Tunisia to India.

Later a poster was released to mark respect to the Radio Day, which falls on 13thFebruary, by the dignities. Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented life membership of IJC- International Journalism Centre to the guests along with the memento of the festival.

Noida: A dance recital by well-known odissi dancer Sharon Lowen was presented where she not only performed three different set of dances but also explained them in detail. It was a learning exercise for many media persons attending the same.

“It was a great decision to have an international star to perform Indian Dance. It has added a lot to the value of cultural program,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of   the festival. “This is my first performance at Marwah Studios. I never expected such a terrific response from the young generation,” said Sharon Lowen.

Sharon Lowen is an Odissi dancer, trained since 1975 by Guru Kelucharan Mohapatra. She has performed and choreographed for film and television and presented hundreds of concerts throughout India, North America, Asia, Africa, the United Kingdom. and the Middle East.

Sharon came to India in 1973 after degrees in Humanities, Fine Arts, Asian Studies and Dance from the University of Michigan as a Fulbright Scholar to study Manipuri and later Chhau and Odissi.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah Presented     the life membership of International Journalism centre to Sharon along with memento of Global Festival of Journalism.

Noida: Exhibitions are always been part of all festivals. They are integrated section of all the Global Festivals designed by the international maestro Sandeep Marwah at Noida Film City the ground place of Marwah Studios and AAFT.

We have many departments working at the same time. Print, Radio, Television, Cinema, New Media, Audio, Video, Publication, Research, Design, Still Photography are some of them. This is the presentation of Mass Communication And Journalism Students who  have designed the cover page of News Papers,” explained Dr. Sandeep Marwah at the exhibition.

“The students are always very talented, but they need proper guidance to come up to the international standard. I appreciate the two scholarships which were presented by AAFT to Ghana Students have done wonders to their vision and caliber here,” said H.E. Michael A. A. Oquaye High Commissioner of Ghana to India while lighting the ceremonial lamp and thanking Indo Ghana Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI.

“This is my third time in 30 days. A Marwah studio has a lot to offer to the World of Art and Culture. No one can compare to them in films, television and media presentation. I have never been to any Global Festival of Journalism ever in my life before,” K.L.Ganju Consulate General Embassy of Comoros in India appreciating the formation of Indo Comoros Film And Cultural Forum.

Indo Panama Film And Cultural Forum is going to take part in every event designed by ICMEI. WE are here to promote our relations,” added Ricardo A Berna Charge d’ Affaires Embassy of Panama in India.

Seminar at 7th Global Festival of Journalism Noida


Noida: After the grand opening of 7th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2019 a seminar was organized to discuss and talk about todays Journalism Scenario in India in different mediums of media.

“We have seen drastic changes since we have been in media for 33 years. ‘The change is the only thing which is constant’, so we have been adjusting our self to these changes. But a sudden and sweeping changes in media in last ten years brought revolution in the industry,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah initiating the discussion on the subject.

R.K.Singh former Engineer in Chief Doordarshan, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India narrated some beautiful instances from his last experiences. Sanjay Singh Secretary Press Club of India and Political Editor News India also shared his experiences from journalism field.

AAFTian Rashid Hashmi now Editor in Chief FM TV News, Ajay Shukla Editor in Chief ITV Network and Vipin Gaur Editor Country And Politics and Secretary of News Paper Association of India spoke on the subject.

During the session a poster on Ganesh Shankar Vidyarthi was released to mark respect to truthful and Patriotic Journalism.  The first copy of news bulletin of day One, published and printed by the students of Asian School of Media Studies,  was also released.  Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah honored all the speakers with life membership of IJC-International Journalism Centre of Marwah Studios. Albeena Abbas conducted the event and Col. Pradeep Gupta paid vote of thanks.

Noida: An exhibition of still photographs by the students of Asian School of Media Studies were displayed at Studio at 7th Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2019 inaugurated by the foreign dignities.

“Photographs are the everlasting memories, a still can speak 1000 words and don’t forget that Still photography is the base of all visual media,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios while introducing the need of still photography for a media students.

“Still photographs have played the best role in persevering history and in highlighting best of the information to the whole World. In todays age no one can ignore still photography,” said Muhamed Cengic a professional photographer and Ambassador of Bosnia And Herzegovina to India while inaugurating the   exhibition.

“We are now used to our still cameras, still photography is now become next to our nature from our habit. We must use camera for preserving best of the occasions,” added H.E. Ashraf Shikhaliyev Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India.

“The collection of pictures of different genre has added a lot to the exhibition. These hundred photographs are leaving new energy to this studio,” said Roman Masric Deputy Head of the Mission, Embassy of Czech Republic.

“The exhibition has induced me to start preparing for the exhibition of photographs from Singapore. These photographs teaching us a lot from different actions,” said P. Murugaesh Counselor High Commission of Republic of Singapore.

K.G.Suresh Director General Indian Institute of Mass Communication, Neeraj Thakur of Press Council of India, Sakshi Joshi of News 24 and many national and international delegates were also present there.

7th Global Festival of Journalism Propagated Positive Journalism


7th Global Festival of Journalism Inaugurated at Marwah Studios


Noida:  The first ever festivals of Journalism of Asia and second in the World created a wonderful opportunity for journalists from all over India and abroad a powerful cultural exchange.

International Journalism Centre and International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television jointly presented the 7th edition of Global Festival of Journalism Noida 2019 at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.

“It was exactly eight years back we announced 12th February as the International Day of Journalism under International Journalism Centre. To Mark respect to our own decision we started first ever festival of journalism on the fixed dates of 12th, 13th and 14th of February. We feel elevated now, when hundreds of organizations all over the World have started celebrating this particular day,” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival.

“We are amazed to see the    quality and quantity of the program. Never ever attended a festival of journalism before though I have in journalism for many years     before joining Foreign Service,” said H.E. Muhamed Cengic Ambassador of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“I am thrilled to carry from here a scholarship of AAFT for the student from Azerbaijan, the festival has won the heart of Azerbaijan,” added H.E. Ashraf Shikhaliyev Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India while receiving the scholarship from Marwah.

“The participation of Czech Republic in Global Festival of Journalism has enhanced our relationship with India. Indo Czech Cultural Forum is doing well and creating awareness about our activities al over India and abroad,” said Roman Masarik Deputy Head of the Mission Embassy of Czech Republic.

The cultural diplomacy is the most remarkable in building relations. I am happy to be here and would like to join hands with ICMEI for more activities,” expressed P. Murugaesh Counsellor of     High omission of Republic of Singapore.

Earlier an exhibition of still photography designed by students of Asian School of Media And Studies was inaugurated by the dignities. A scholarship of short term course AAFT was also presented to Ambassador of Azerbaijan.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah honored all the dignities with the life membership of International Journalism Centre of ICMEI.

Poster of International Journalism Day Released at 6th GFJN


International Day of Journalism Celebrated at Marwah Studios


Noida: “Seven years back we decided to carved out an International Day of Journalism on 12th February as there was no day mentioned for the oldest profession on earth by even United Nations,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Global Festival of Journalism while opening the poster of International Journalism Day.

“Earlier we have been celebrating 21st June as International Yoga Day and 2nd April as Asian Unity Day. These are other two very important dates we have contributed to the World calendar,” added Marwah.


The poster was released by H.E. Michael Aaron N. N. Oquaye Esq (Jnr) High Commissioner of Ghana to India, veteran journalist Ved Pratap Vaidik, Dr.Xiaoxian Zhu from Teesside University UK, Kumar Mohan Editor Complete Cinema from Mumbai, renowned PR Consultant Himanshu Zhunzhunwala, Madhavi Advani Director International Children;s Film Forum, Dipak K Ghosh renowned painter, Actor Ekta Jain and educationist  Padmini Prameshwaran.

“Marwah is full of new ideas, and he knows how to execute them. I appreciate the formation of 12th February as the International Day of journalism,” said H.E. Michael Aaron High Commissioner of Ghana to India.
