New Delhi: The Independence Day of Azerbaijan was celebrated with great enthusiasm and diplomatic warmth at Hotel Hyatt Regency, New Delhi. The prestigious event was hosted by H.E. Mr. Elchin Huseynli, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India, and Mrs. Gunay Huseynli, and witnessed the presence of distinguished diplomats, ambassadors, government officials, business leaders, and members of the cultural fraternity.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Indo Azerbaijan Film and Cultural Forum, attended the celebrations and interacted with members of the diplomatic and cultural community. Celebrated on the occasion of Asian Unity Day, declared by the Asian Unity Alliance, Day 1’s 3rd Show, Sequence 2, highlighted the rich heritage of Azerbaijan through an exquisite collection by designer Himanshi Bhati.

The showcase was supported by the Indo Azerbaijan Film and Cultural Forum, which contributed to the research and conceptual development of the presentation. AAFT students played an integral role in executing the show, managing ramp walk, modelling, makeup, jewellery, and hairstyling—demonstrating a holistic approach to fashion education.

The collection beautifully captured the essence of Azerbaijani culture, blending traditional elegance with contemporary silhouettes. Flowing forms echoed historic garments, while intricate textures reflected the nation’s renowned carpet artistry and craftsmanship. A sophisticated muted palette was enhanced with subtle metallic accents, inspired by Azerbaijan’s architectural heritage and symbolic association with fire.

Structured layering combined with fluid drapes created a striking balance between strength and grace, presenting designs that celebrate identity, heritage, and modern expression with refined sophistication.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the Fashion Week, praised the creative excellence on display, stating, “Fashion is a powerful medium of cultural diplomacy. Cycle Rally Flagged Off to Promote Green World Awareness

New Delhi: In an inspiring show of commitment to environmental preservation, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Global Green Ambassador, had the pleasure of flagging off a Cycle Rally organized by the Embassy of the Republic of Azerbaijan in collaboration with the Confederation of Indian Cyclists. The rally aimed to spread awareness about the adverse impacts of climate change and encourage the global community to pursue a sustainable and eco-friendly future.

Dr. Marwah emphasized, “As Global Green Ambassador and President of AAFT School of Health and Wellness, I hold it as my responsibility to support and encourage initiatives that bring attention to the critical issue of pollution and the urgent need for a green world. Musical Extravaganza Presented by AAFT School of Performing Arts at 16th GFFN

Noida: The 16th Global Film Festival Noida, held at Marwah Studios, witnessed a spectacular musical extravaganza organized by the AAFT School of Performing Arts, featuring trained music students and popular singer Sameer Khan Niazi.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah festival President GFFN, in his inaugural address, emphasized the profound impact of music on the soul, declaring, “If music is not a part of your life, it is incomplete, as it gives us a sense of living.” The musical program unfolded as a vibrant celebration of the universal language that unites people across cultures.

H.E. Elchin Husenli designated Ambassador of Azerbaijan to India shared his gratitude to Indian Cinema, describing cinema and culture as mirrors reflecting every aspect of life. He expressed appreciation for Indian cinema’s role in showcasing the rich tapestry of Indian culture to the people of Azerbaijan.

Richa Mehta, a Model & Actor attending the festival, shared her delightful experience, describing it as wonderful and worth remembering. Renowned Singer Mr. Sameer Khan Niazi highlighted the timeless nature of art and music, emphasizing that it knows no age boundaries. He underlined the importance of honoring and respecting music as the heartbeat of culture, echoing the rhythm and soul of a society.

Noida: The 16th Global Film Festival Noida witnessed a spectacular inauguration of the “PHOTO TATVA” exhibition, showcasing the creative brilliance of students from the School of Still Photography, School of Journalism and Mass Communication, and School of Fashion & Design at AAFT University of Media & Arts. The exhibition, introduced by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University, was held at Marwah Studios and featured distinguished dignitaries.

The inauguration ceremony saw the esteemed presence of Member of Parliament Lok Sabha, Jagannath Sarkar, Ambassador of Panama H.E. Yasiel Burillo, Makeup Artist Ms. Divya Behl, H.E. Elchin Husenli designated Ambassador of Azerbaijan, Model & Actor Richa Mehta, Vipin Gaur Secretary, News Paper Association of India and Singer Sameer Khan Niazi, who graced the occasion as the guests of honor.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah expressed the university’s commitment to incorporating still photography exhibitions into every occasion or festival at AAFT. Recognizing still photography as the foundation of various arts, including cinema, Dr. Marwah congratulated the students for curating an exceptional exhibition. He emphasized that such exhibitions play a vital role in amplifying the creative process of aspiring photographers, fostering out-of-the-box thinking in their approach to capturing images.

The exhibition showcased a diverse range of photographs, skillfully crafting an artistic narrative that spanned wildlife to societal themes. A highlight of the event was the bioscope, an innovative creation by talented students, allowing viewers to experience a sequence of photographs simultaneously. Despite being a relic of the past, the bioscope aligned seamlessly with the exhibition’s theme, serving as a nostalgic window to history.

H.E. Elchin Husenli from Azerbaijan congratulated the students for their outstanding exhibition, appreciating their creativity. Hon. Jagannath Sarkar, Member of Parliament, Lok Sabha, expressed his honor to be present at Marwah Studios and celebrate such a vibrant film festival. He commended the students for their innovative bioscope concept and enjoyed the overall exhibition.

During the exhibition, Mr. Vajiul Hasan Rizvi, Dean of the School of Still Photography, praised the students for displaying their creativity in its finest form. He emphasized that this hands-on experience of capturing and displaying pictures would elevate their skills and make them industry-ready.
