Sandeep Marwah Presents Membership of Indo-Australia Cultural Forum to Delegates from AMON Business Council, Australia

Noida, India – In a significant step toward enhancing bilateral ties between India and Australia, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), presented official memberships of the Indo-Australia Film and Cultural Forum to the visiting delegation of the AMON Business Council from Australia.

The delegation, consisting of prominent business and community leaders from Australia, visited Marwah Studios with the objective of strengthening cultural, media, and business relations between the two countries. The Indo-Australia Film and Cultural Forum, an initiative of ICMEI, has been playing a vital role in bridging the gap between the Indian and Australian communities through artistic and cultural exchange programs.

“We would love to be part of the AMON Business Council and support its vision. Our shared idea is to develop and promote strong and meaningful relations between the people of India and Australia using the powerful mediums of art, culture, media, and business,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah, while presenting the Forum memberships to the Australian delegates.

The Australian delegation included: Manoj Kumar, Chairman, AMON Business Council Australia, Rahul Singh, President, Nirmal Singh Namdhari, Founding Member and Manjul Thapiyal, Member.

During their interaction at Marwah Studios, discussions were held around collaborative opportunities in film production, student exchange programs, art exhibitions, cultural festivals, and joint business ventures. The visit highlighted the mutual interest in expanding ties not only in the creative industries but also in education, trade, and innovation.

The event concluded with a guided tour of Marwah Studios and a special networking session where ideas were exchanged on launching joint initiatives in both countries. Noida, India – The Embassy of Austria and the Indo Austria Film and Cultural Forum, in association with the International Film and Television Club, proudly hosted the screening of the Austrian feature film “Andrea Gets A Divorce”, directed by acclaimed filmmaker Josef Hader, at the 17th Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN). The event took place at Marwah Film City in a hall packed with filmmakers, cinema enthusiasts, film lovers, and students.

The screening was graced by the presence of renowned Austrian film critic Murtaza Ali, who delivered an insightful address on the evolution of Austrian cinema. He highlighted its unique storytelling style, artistic depth, and its growing significance in global cinema.

Sushil Bharti, Director of Radio Noida 107.4FM, skillfully conducted the program and shared his thoughts on the importance of cultural exchange through cinema. “Such screenings not only bridge gaps between nations but also provide a platform for diverse voices to be heard,” he remarked.

Noida: The 17th edition of the Global Film Festival Noida 2024, one of the most prestigious film festivals in the world, received a global start as the festival’s official poster was launched by a distinguished delegation from Austria at Marwah Studios in Noida Film City.

The Global Film Festival has grown to become the largest film festival in this part of the world, with participation from over 100 countries, either directly or through collaborations. This year’s event is organized by the International Film and Television Club in association with ICMEI (International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry) and AAFT (Asian Academy of Film and Television).

The three-day festival promises an exciting lineup of 52 events, including film screenings, workshops, seminars, exhibitions, musical and fashion shows, entertainment programs, book and poster releases, food-tasting events, a formal inauguration, and an award ceremony.

The Austrian delegation, comprising notable members such as Kerstin Peckl, Ravi Shankar Nandi, Colin Bellinger, Markus Bellinger, Mario Haidlmair, Andrea Hochmuth, Markus Ostermann, Anton Rieder, Verena Rieder Hackl, Michael Tschackert, Christine Mukharji, and Anusha Kaul, lauded the visionary efforts of Dr. Sandeep Marwah in elevating the festival to such an esteemed level on the global stage.

The delegation received a grand welcome at the creative hub of Marwah Studios, where they explored various facets of the studio’s operations. The visit included an in-depth showcase of Marwah Studios’ Radio and Television Stations, Film and Television Academy, and live shooting sessions of film and television projects. Renowned Austrian Music Artists Visit Marwah Studios

Noida: Marwah Studios recently welcomed celebrated Austrian musicians Silvia Vaterl and Mila Janevska for a special visit and performance, facilitated by the Austrian Cultural forum at the Austrian Embassy in New Delhi. The event, hosted in collaboration with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and AAFT School of Music, aimed to promote cultural exchange and showcase the rich tradition of Austrian classical music.

Michael A Pal Director of Austrian Cultural Forum said Music transcends boundaries, creating connections between cultures and hearts. It is a universal language that unites us in moments of shared emotion and beauty.

Silvia Vaterl, an accomplished pianist, completed her studies with distinction at the Universities of Music and Performing Arts in Graz and Vienna, as well as the Berlin University of the Arts. She further refined her skills at the Royal College of Music in London and the International Academy of Music in the Principality of Liechtenstein. Vaterl holds a master’s degree and has earned numerous accolades from prestigious international competitions, including the Concours Grieg International Piano Competition (Norway), Elena Rombro-Stepanow Piano Competition (Vienna), and the International Schubert Competition for Piano Duos (Czech Republic). Her impressive achievements highlight her exceptional talent and dedication to music.

Mila Janevska, a distinguished vocalist with an honours degree in Vocal Performance from the University of Music and Performing Arts, Vienna, has worked with globally renowned artists such as Thomas Hampson, Hartmut Höll, Laura Aikin, and Cheryl Studer. Janevska has performed in numerous national and international concerts, and her repertoire includes solo performances in Macedonia, Bulgaria, Montenegro, and Russia. She has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to vocal performance, winning several prestigious awards.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, and chair for Indo Austrian Film and Cultural Forum expressed his appreciation for the Austrian artists and their contribution to strengthening cultural ties through the universal language of music. “Their visit has enriched our understanding and appreciation of Austrian music, and it serves as an important platform for cultural diplomacy,” he said.

Later all the artists were honoured with life membership of International Film and Television Club of Marwah Studios.
