Noida: August 17, 2025 – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extends its heartiest congratulations to Her Excellency Ina Krishnamurthi, Ambassador of Indonesia to India, and to the people of the Republic of Indonesia on the auspicious occasion of their Independence Day, celebrated on 17th August.

India and Indonesia share a rich history of friendship, cultural affinity, and growing bilateral cooperation. Over the years, the two nations have nurtured strong diplomatic, economic, and cultural ties, making the relationship one of warmth and mutual respect.

Under the leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chair of the Indo Indonesia Film and Cultural Forum (IIFCF), the forum has been actively working to strengthen the cultural and creative bonds between the people of both countries.

“The Indo Indonesia Film and Cultural Forum has taken promising steps to promote collaboration in cinema, arts, and culture. We are confident that with continued efforts, the forum will open up many new avenues of cooperation between our two nations,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

ICMEI Congratulates Indonesia on Independence Day

Noida, 17th August 2024 – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), under the dynamic leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, proudly extends its warmest congratulations to H.E. Ina H Krishnamurthi, the Ambassador of Indonesia to India, and the people of Indonesia on the joyous occasion of their Independence Day.

Celebrated on the 17th of August each year, Indonesia’s Independence Day commemorates the nation’s declaration of independence from Dutch colonial rule in 1945. This historic day is a powerful reminder of the Indonesian people’s unwavering commitment to freedom, unity, and progress.

In his congratulatory message, Dr. Sandeep Marwah stated, “On behalf of the art and culture fraternity of India, I take this opportunity to extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Noida: In a significant stride towards strengthening cultural ties between India and Indonesia, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) proudly launched the poster for the Indo Indonesia Film and Cultural Forum. The unveiling took place during the 117th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films, a collaborative effort aimed at fostering artistic and cultural connections between the two nations.

The momentous occasion was marked by the presence of a 30-member delegation that recently visited Indonesia in an event organized by ICMEI. The delegation, in collaboration with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, explored avenues for cultural exchange and understanding. This initiative was spurred by the impactful visit of Dr. Sandeep Marwah to Indonesia, who has been a driving force in promoting cultural diplomacy through art and cinema.

The poster, a symbol of the burgeoning relationship between India and Indonesia, was officially unveiled by Masni Eriza, Deputy Head of the Mission. Her presence at the event added prestige to the occasion, emphasizing the commitment of both nations to furthering cultural collaboration.

Sandeep Marwah Invited to Speak in Conference from Indonesia

Sandeep Marwah Spoke at International Conference from Indonesia

Jakarta: “United Nations has declared seventeen points for SDGs-and they are are No Poverty, Zero Hunger, Quality Education, Gender Equality, Clean Water and Sanitation, Affordable and Clean Energy, Decent Work and Economic Growth, Industry Innovation and Infrastructure, Reduced Inequality, Sustainable Cities and Communities, Responsible Consumption and Production, Climate Action, Life bbelow Water, Life on Land, Peace Justice and Strong Institutions and Partnership for the Goals,” explained Dr. Sandeep Marwah in his key note address during the international conference at Jakarta.

The Mega Virtual International Conference with the theme of “Multidisciplinary Hybrid Learning in Achieving Sustainable Development Goals- SDGs” was organized by University of Al Asyariah Mandar from 22nd to 27th December 2021 online.

Dr. Marwah also spoke in detail the requirements by the educational institutions to fulfil the needs of Sustainable development Goals. He emphasized on entertainment, development, Controlled conditions, Communication, attitude, technology, information, and being nationalist.
