Russian Delegation Honours Dr. Sandeep Marwah for Strengthening Indo–Russian Cultural Relations

New Delhi, 7 December 2025: In a significant recognition of his relentless contribution to Indo–Russian cultural diplomacy, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and founding head of the Indo Russian Film and Cultural Forum under ICMEI, was honoured by a distinguished Russian delegation from Moscow. The delegation was in New Delhi during the powerful state visit of H.E. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, marking a momentous occasion in bilateral relations.

The delegation represented the prestigious World Peoples Assembly, and included eminent personalities Svetlana Smirnova, Irina Poliakova, Larisa Trunina, and Fadeeva Olga. They felicitated Dr. Marwah for his seven years of exceptional service in promoting Russian–Indian relations through arts, culture, media, and people-to-people engagement.

Svetlana Smirnova, Chairperson of the General Council of the World Peoples Assembly, praised Dr. Marwah’s visionary leadership and commitment. “Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been a true bridge between Russia and India. His dedication to cultural exchange, artistic collaboration, and mutual understanding has strengthened relations at a time when such efforts are most needed. His work through the Indo Russian Film and Cultural Forum stands as a model for international cultural diplomacy. We are honoured to recognise his remarkable service,” she said.

Expressing gratitude, Dr. Sandeep Marwah reflected on the honour and reaffirmed his commitment to furthering Indo–Russian partnership. “This recognition from the World Peoples Assembly is both humbling and inspiring. India and Russia share a deep-rooted bond, and it has been my privilege to contribute to this relationship through art and culture. The visit of President Vladimir Putin has infused new energy into our bilateral relations, and we will continue to build stronger connections through creative and cultural initiatives,” Dr. Marwah stated.

The honouring ceremony underscored the vital role played by cultural institutions and creative leaders in nurturing global friendship and understanding, especially between India and the Russian Federation.

New Delhi, 7 December 2025: A magnificent celebration of Indo–Russian cultural friendship unfolded at Lalit Kala Akademi, Rabindra Bhawan, with the inauguration of the spectacular solo exhibition “Dream Vision” by internationally renowned artist and National Artist of the Russian Federation, Nikas Safronov. The exhibition was inaugurated in the distinguished presence of H.E. Denis Alipov, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to India, and Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Indo Russian Film and Cultural Forum.

Marking a moment of deep cultural significance, the exhibition coincided with the grand visit of H.E. Vladimir Putin, President of the Russian Federation, to New Delhi, adding an extraordinary dimension to the artistic celebration.

“Dream Vision” features a stunning collection of Safronov’s signature works—mesmerizing portraits, surreal imagery, and emotionally rich compositions that have earned him global acclaim. Art lovers, diplomats, cultural representatives, academicians, and students attended in large numbers, turning the inauguration into a vibrant cultural gathering.

Russian Cuisine Enthralls at 10th Global Literary Festival Noida 2024

Noida, India – October 2024: The exquisite flavours of Russian cuisine were on full display at the 10th Global Literary Festival Noida 2024, held at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. The food festival, a vibrant part of the literary event, was inaugurated by Ms. Ekaterina Lazareva, Cultural and Educational Attaché at the Embassy of Russia, in the presence of a large audience comprising diplomats, dignitaries, and art enthusiasts from around the world.

The culinary display, featuring a variety of traditional Russian dishes, was meticulously prepared and designed by the students of the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism. The diverse audience enjoyed the taste of Russian culinary heritage, with each dish reflecting the depth and richness of Russia’s cultural traditions.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and founder of the Global Literary Festival, praised the inclusion of Russian cuisine at the festival, saying, “The Global Literary Festival is a celebration of not just literature but the spirit of global unity through culture and tradition. The presence of Russian cuisine has added a delightful new layer to this cultural exchange, and it’s heartening to see how food can bring people together.”

Ms. Ekaterina Lazareva, Cultural and Educational Attaché at the Embassy of Russia, expressed her delight at the appreciation shown for Russian cuisine. “Food is an essential part of a nation’s cultural identity, and it is wonderful to see Russian cuisine being so well-received here in India. This event is a wonderful platform to deepen cultural understanding between our countries,” she said.

Supported by the Asian Academy of Arts, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), and the Writers Association of India, the event was a resounding success, further promoting cross-cultural dialogue through the universal language of food.

Russia Day Celebrated by ICMEI at Marwah Studios

Nikolay R Kudashev Ambassador of Russia  to India and people of Russia on the occasion of Rusia Day which falls on12th June,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry while sending his best wishes to the Embassy of Russia.

To strengthen the relation between two countries Indo Russian Film And Cultural Forum was created not very long ago. Ample has been done under this setup. The visit of Dr. Sandeep Marwah to Moscow and St. Petersburg last years and now by Akshay Marwah CEO of Marwah Studios has brought lots of closeness within the art and culture circle of two countries.

Dr. Marwah has invited many Russian artists and also been to Russian programs to bring in love peace and unity through art and culture which is the purpose of the organization.
