New Delhi, 26th July 2025: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extends its heartfelt congratulations to Her Excellency Aishath Azeema, High Commissioner of the Republic of Maldives to India, and to the people of Maldives on the occasion of their Independence Day, celebrated on 26th July.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Indo-Maldives Film and Cultural Forum, shared his greetings, stating, “On behalf of the entire Indian film, art, and culture fraternity, I convey our warmest wishes to the people of Maldives. Our nations share a deep friendship rooted in cultural affinity, mutual respect, and shared values. We look forward to further enriching this relationship through meaningful collaborations in cinema, media, and cultural exchange.”

The Indo-Maldives Film and Cultural Forum, under the leadership of Dr. Marwah and the umbrella of ICMEI, has undertaken several key initiatives to promote bilateral cooperation, including:

Indo Maldives Cultural Forum Celebrated Independence Day of Maldives

New Delhi: “I on behalf of Indian Media and Entertainment Industry and Art & Culture Fraternity of India take this opportunity to extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E.   Hussain Niyaz High Commissioner of Maldives  to India and the people of Maldives on the occasion of Independence Day which falls on 26th July,” said Dr Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry celebrating the day at the Chamber.

Indo Maldives Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI has been involved with all the activities of art and culture designed by Marwah Studios including Global Film Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Fashion Week, Global Literary Festival and many other international summits from time to time. It all started when the forum was proposed and inaugurated by H.E. Ahmed Mohamed, High Commissioner of Maldives to India in 2017.

Maldives National Day Celebrated at Marwah Studios


National Day of Maldives Celebrated by ICMEI


New Delhi: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry through its committee Indo Maldives Film And Cultural Forum congratulated H.E. Ahmed Mohamed High Commissioner of Maldives to India on the National Day of Maldives, which falls on 26th July.

“I on behalf of Media and Entertainment Industry of India take this honor to congratulate the High Commissioner and the people of Maldives on their National Day. May our relations with Maldives flourish day by day,” said Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI.

Both the countries established diplomatic relations after the independence of Maldives from British rule in 1966. India was one of the first nations to recognize Maldives' independence. Since then, India and Maldives have developed close strategic, military, economic and cultural relations.
