Noida: The film “Yatra – The Journey of the Indian Presence in Trinidad and Tobago” from Trinidad & Tobago was ceremonially opened at the 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026 by H.E. Chandradath Singh, High Commissioner of Trinidad & Tobago to India. The special screening celebrated the deep historical and cultural ties between India and Trinidad & Tobago.

The Director of the film, Anita Chandradath Singh, was also present on the occasion, adding significance to the event. The film beautifully portrayed the journey, heritage, and contribution of the Indian diaspora in Trinidad & Tobago and was warmly appreciated by the audience.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Indo Trinidad & Tobago Film and Cultural Forum and President of Marwah Studios, highlighted the importance of such films in strengthening cultural bonds and enhancing mutual understanding between the two nations. He emphasized that the Indo Trinidad & Tobago Film and Cultural Forum continues to work actively toward promoting artistic and cultural collaboration.

Speaking on the occasion, High Commissioner Chandradath Singh appreciated the platform created by the festival for international cinema and acknowledged the efforts of the organizers in showcasing films that celebrate shared heritage and cultural diplomacy.

Later, Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented the festival memento to the High Commissioner as a token of respect and appreciation. The prestigious Award of Distinction was conferred upon the film and was received by H.E. Chandradath Singh on behalf of Director Anita Chandradath Singh.

The 14th Global Festival of Journalism & AVGC Noida 2026 once again demonstrated its commitment to global harmony, cultural exchange, and international friendship through the powerful medium of cinema.

Noida, India: In a moment of pride and diplomatic warmth, Chandradath Singh, High Commissioner of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago to India, formally honoured Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, for his outstanding leadership as Chair of the Indo–Trinidad & Tobago Film and Cultural Forum for four consecutive years.

The recognition was presented in appreciation of Dr. Marwah’s dedicated and sincere efforts in developing, promoting, and strengthening cultural, cinematic, literary, and media relations between the Republic of India and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago.

While addressing the gathering, High Commissioner Chandradath Singh applauded Dr. Marwah’s honest commitment and visionary approach in building strong people-to-people connections through art, cinema, journalism, fashion, and food diplomacy. New Delhi, 7th July 2025: The Indo Trinidad and Tobago Film and Cultural Forum, an initiative of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) in collaboration with the High Commission of Trinidad and Tobago in India, proudly extends its heartiest congratulations to the people and leadership of Trinidad and Tobago on the historic visit of Hon’ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi to their nation.

During his official visit, Prime Minister Modi met H.E. Christine Kangaloo, President of Trinidad and Tobago, at the President’s House. In a moment of immense pride for India, Prime Minister Modi was conferred with “The Order of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago”, the country’s highest civilian honour. Accepting the award with humility, the Prime Minister remarked, “I am deeply honoured to receive this recognition. I accept this award not for myself, but on behalf of 140 crore Indians. ICMEI Celebrates the National Day of Trinidad and Tobago on 31st August

Noida: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in conjunction with the entire art and culture fraternity of India, extends its warmest congratulations to His Excellency Dr. Roger Gopaul, High Commissioner of Trinidad and Tobago, and the people of Trinidad & Tobago on the joyous occasion of their National Day celebrated on 31st August.

AAFT Presented Scholarship for Trinidad and Tobago

New Delhi: International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry as per its commitment in Indo Trinidad & Tobago Film and Cultural Forum, declared a full scholarship of short-term course of Asian Academy of Film and Television and has been handed over to the H.E. Roger Gopaul High Commissioner of Trinidad and Tobago to India at the High Commission in New Delhi.

We are more than happy to present this scholarship to the deserving student from Trinidad and Tobago to learn any subject out of the prevailing courses running with institution AAFT. The student will also be eligible for boarding and lodging facility which is the part of the scholarship,” informed Dr Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI and Marwah Studios.

“We here accept the scholarship with grace and respect and thank ICMEI-International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and AAFT -Asian Academy of Film and Television for this beautiful gesture by presenting scholarship. Soon we will invite some deserving student to come and study in India,” said H.E. Dr Roger Gopaul High Commissioner of Trinidad and Tobago to India. Noida: “I am convinced that there is no other organisation in India which is promoting films, television, art and culture the way Marwah Studios based in Noida Film City is promoting. Probably I is not only their profession but an extra ordinary passion to do so,” said Dr. Roger Gopaul High Commissioner of Trinidad and Tobago to India on his visit to Noida Film City recently.

“We are happy to join hands with International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry which is the only dedicated Chamber to develop and promote relation between India and rest of the World through art and culture. The art of people is the true mirror of their minds, and reading that mind is also an art. I am sure together we will be able to project our arts and crafts of Trinidad & Tobago to the large audience,” added Dr. Roger Gopaul.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah, founder of Noida Film City, President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI presented High Commissioner with the prestigious life Membership of International Film and Television Club of Marwah Studios.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah with seven World Records in media to his credit, is the founder of Noida Film City and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts. He is on the board of Film Federation of India, Ministry of Education & has also been nominated as the National Chairman of Media and Entertainment Committee of BIS in Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India.

Noida: A new organization under the name and banner of Indo Trinidad and Tobago Film and Cultural Forum in association with High Commission of Republic of Trinidad and Tobago and supported by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry was launched with great pomp and show at international headquarters of ICMEI.

“It was long due, as it is there no such organization in India which is looking after the promotion of Indian and Trinidad and Tobago cultural relations. I congratulate Dr. Sandeep Marwah to come forward and design such a beautiful setup for the purpose,” said Dr. Roger Gopaul High Commissioner of Trinidad and Tobago to India while launching the Indo Trinidad and Tobago Film and Cultural Forum at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

“ICMEI has already created a world class infrastructure to start and maintain the development and promotion of relation between India and Trinidad and Tobago at Noida Film City. ICMEI is the family of almost twenty thousand creative people from all over the country and more than hundred nations of the World. We will leave no stone unturned to make this organization a real bridge between India & Trinidad and Tobago” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented the Patronship to Dr. Roger Gopaul High Commissioner of Trinidad and Tobago. Dr. Sandeep Marwah was nominated as the Chair of Indo Trinidad Film and Cultural Forum.  Later Dr Gopaul took the round of all the facilities of ICMEI and interviewed by Radio Noida 107.4FM, the first radio station of Noida.

World Moral Day Celebrated by WHD London

London: “It is essential to teach moral education to the young ones to be the good citizens of their country. They should know the distinction between right and wrong, what is needed or not, what is right conduct and moral attitudes then only you can create a wonderful society,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts at the event to celebrate World Moral Day organised by World Humanitarian Drive London.

“Moral education, as I understand it, is not about inculcating obedience to law or cultivating self-virtue, it is rather about finding within us an ever-increasing sense of the worth of creation. It is about how we can develop and deepen our intuitive sense of beauty and creativity,” said H.E. Anthony Carmona 5th President of Trinidad and Tobago in the capacity of Chief Guest addressing hundreds of Students attending the function.


“We need to provide an education which teaches crit­ical thinking and encourages the development of mature moral values,” said Abdul Basit Syed Founder and Chairman of WHD.

The bilateral relations between the Republic of India and the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago have considerably expanded in recent years with both nations building strategic and commercial ties. Both nations formally established diplomatic relations in 1962. Hinduism is the second largest religion in Trinidad and Tobago. Hindu Culture arrived in 1845 in Trinidad and Tobago. According to the 2011 census there were 240,100 declared Hindus  in Trinidad and Tobago. There are also various temples in Trinidad and Tobago to accommodate Hindus informed Sandeep Marwah.
