Media & Entertainment Skills Council Holds High-Level Meeting with NSDC CEO at Kaushal Bhawan

New Delhi: A highly productive and impactful meeting of the Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) was held at Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi, with Shri Arun Kumar Pillai, Chief Executive Officer of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Government of India. The meeting focused on strengthening the skill development ecosystem for the media and entertainment sector and exploring new avenues for industry-driven training and employment opportunities.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and National Vice Chairman of MESC, actively participated in the meeting and emphasized the critical role of skill development in preparing India’s youth for the rapidly evolving media and entertainment industry.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah stated, “The media and entertainment sector is one of the fastest-growing industries in the country. Through collaborative efforts between NSDC and MESC, we can create world-class training frameworks, generate meaningful employment opportunities, and position India as a global hub for creative talent.”

Padma Shri Shankar Mahadevan, Chairman of MESC, highlighted the importance of aligning industry requirements with contemporary skill development programs. He stressed that continuous innovation in training methodologies and industry participation are essential to meet future demands of the sector.

Dr. Mohit Soni, Chief Executive Officer of MESC, presented key initiatives and strategic plans aimed at expanding the reach and effectiveness of skill development programs across the country. He underlined MESC’s commitment to enhancing employability, fostering entrepreneurship, and supporting the government’s vision of a skilled India.

The meeting was also attended by Pooja Arora, Chief Operating Officer of MESC, along with eminent industry leaders including Yogi Kochhar, Sabbas Joseph, Dr. Amit Behl, Munjal Shroff, Dr Vanndana Vaadera and other distinguished members of the council.

Mumbai: In a momentous development for India’s media and entertainment industry, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, an internationally acclaimed media personality and the visionary founder of Noida Film City, has been appointed as the Vice Chair of the Media and Entertainment Skills Council (MESC). This prestigious nomination, under the aegis of the Ministry of Skill Development, Government of India, was announced at the annual general meeting held at the esteemed Taj Lands End Hotel in Mumbai.

Dr. Marwah’s appointment brings a wealth of experience and a unique vision to MESC. Noida, India, July 3, 2024 – In a strategic meeting held at Marwah Studios, key representatives from the Media and Entertainment Skill Council (MESC) and Marwah Studios discussed several important initiatives related to print, radio, television, new media, music, and events. The meeting concluded with a commitment to host more industry-related events and involve experts and renowned personalities to present the latest advancements and changes in the media and entertainment sector.

The meeting was attended by Mohit Soni, , Chief Executive Officer at Media & Entertainment Skills Council and Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Media and Entertainment Committee of the Bureau of Indian Standards under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India.
