Media & Entertainment Skills Council Holds High-Level Meeting with NSDC CEO at Kaushal Bhawan

New Delhi: A highly productive and impactful meeting of the Media & Entertainment Skills Council (MESC) was held at Kaushal Bhawan, New Delhi, with Shri Arun Kumar Pillai, Chief Executive Officer of the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC), Government of India. The meeting focused on strengthening the skill development ecosystem for the media and entertainment sector and exploring new avenues for industry-driven training and employment opportunities.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and National Vice Chairman of MESC, actively participated in the meeting and emphasized the critical role of skill development in preparing India’s youth for the rapidly evolving media and entertainment industry.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah stated, “The media and entertainment sector is one of the fastest-growing industries in the country. Through collaborative efforts between NSDC and MESC, we can create world-class training frameworks, generate meaningful employment opportunities, and position India as a global hub for creative talent.”

Padma Shri Shankar Mahadevan, Chairman of MESC, highlighted the importance of aligning industry requirements with contemporary skill development programs. He stressed that continuous innovation in training methodologies and industry participation are essential to meet future demands of the sector.

Dr. Mohit Soni, Chief Executive Officer of MESC, presented key initiatives and strategic plans aimed at expanding the reach and effectiveness of skill development programs across the country. He underlined MESC’s commitment to enhancing employability, fostering entrepreneurship, and supporting the government’s vision of a skilled India.

The meeting was also attended by Pooja Arora, Chief Operating Officer of MESC, along with eminent industry leaders including Yogi Kochhar, Sabbas Joseph, Dr. Amit Behl, Munjal Shroff, Dr Vanndana Vaadera and other distinguished members of the council.

New Delhi / Noida: “Learning is not attained by chance; it must be sought for with ardor and diligence,” remarked Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, as he welcomed a new chapter in Indo–Uruguayan academic and cultural cooperation.

Dr. Marwah was formally introduced to Dr. Ignacio Bartesaghi, Director, Institute of International Business at UCU – Catholic University of Uruguay, through H.E. Alberto Antonio Guani Amarilla, Ambassador of Uruguay to India. The meeting marked a significant step toward expanding educational, cultural, and international business collaborations between India and Uruguay.

In his capacity as Chairman of the Indo Uruguay Film and Cultural Forum, Dr. Marwah extended a warm invitation to Dr. Bartesaghi to visit the AAFT and Marwah Studios campus in Noida. He reiterated that the Forum stands as a proud partner in every global activity initiated by ICMEI, encouraging mutual growth through art, cinema, academics, and cultural exchange.

New Delhi: The Indo-American Chamber of Commerce (IACC) organized a special interaction at Hotel Leela Palace, New Delhi, to strengthen ties between India and the United States in the areas of business, media, and cultural cooperation.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Media and Entertainment Committee, IACC, had the pleasure of meeting Ms. Yvette Cobourne, Vice Mayor of Miramar, Florida, USA, and Mr. Debon Campbell, Development & Intergovernmental Affairs Officer, City of Miramar.

During the interaction, Dr. Marwah shared insights on India’s growing creative economy and the vast opportunities for collaboration between India and the United States in the fields of media, education, and cultural exchange. “Our nations share a long-standing relationship based on mutual respect and shared values. The celebrations were headquartered at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City, recognized as the birthplace and global nerve center of the Alliance.

“These Cultural Centres are not just symbols, they are dynamic hubs of exchange, education, and engagement. They stand as powerful reminders that collaboration in arts and culture can lead to deeper political and economic alliances,” added Dr. Marwah.

Noida, 20th June – The Indo-Iran Film and Cultural Forum, in association with the Iran Cultural House and the Embassy of Iran, proudly hosted a special screening of the award-winning Iranian animated film “Dolphin Boy” at Marwah Studios. The event was graced by the presence of the film’s renowned director and writer, Mohammad Kheirandish, who was accompanied by his wife, Parastoo Tajik.

9th International Day of Yoga Celebrated at AAFT Marwah Film City Noida

Noida, June 21, 2023 – On the auspicious occasion of the 9th International Day of Yoga, AAFT (Asian Academy of Film and Television) extended its warmest congratulations to everyone. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, in his welcome address, shared that AAFT has been at the forefront of celebrating this day for the past 30 years. The institution established the Prithvi Yoga Centre in 1993, choosing the 21st of June as Yoga Day, and has been commemorating this event ever since.

To promote the practice of yoga, AAFT’s Marwah Films and Video Production wing produced a 13-episode serial on Yoga back in 1993, which was broadcasted on Doordarshan and garnered immense viewership. Over the years, AAFT has continued its mission of spreading awareness about yoga through workshops, seminars, and interaction programs. Remarkably, more than 15,000 students from over 100 countries have received yoga training from AAFT in the last three decades.

Radio Noida 107.4FM, Radio Mumbai, Radio Raipur, and MSTV have been consistent platforms for showcasing yoga programs. Inspired by the impact and response, AAFT established the School of Health and Wellness, which further contributes to the promotion of yoga and holistic well-being.

In collaboration with the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment, AAFT School of Health and Wellness organized a vibrant and energetic program to commemorate the International Day of Yoga. The event witnessed a captivating yoga-based dance recital and a presentation of yoga exercises, which enthralled the large audience in attendance. Additionally, the program’s highlight was a mesmerizing fashion show centered around Buddhism and meditation, presented by the students of AAFT School of Fashion and Design.

The event attracted a diverse audience from various walks of life, creating a harmonious atmosphere of unity and well-being. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, on behalf of AAFT, presented participation certificates from the Prithvi Yoga Centre to all the esteemed guests, including Emile Mwepesi of the Rwanda High Commission as the guest of honor, Antje Stiebitz, a Radio Journalist from Germany, Dr. Sampoorna, a Yoga Master, Ambica Mittal, a Yoga Expert, and spiritual leaders Swami Chander Dev Ji, Dr. Gopal Ji, Acharya Satyander Ji, and Swami Vishwa Anand. Each guest graciously shared their personal experiences and insights on the transformative power of yoga.

The 9th International Day of Yoga celebration at AAFT served as a powerful testament to the institution’s commitment to promoting the practice of yoga and fostering a healthier and more balanced society.
