U. Lalit, 49th Chief Justice of India. The event witnessed a powerful beginning in the presence of eminent dignitaries, academicians, faculty, and students.

This year’s competition drew 30 teams representing 21 cities of India and one international team from Bangladesh, bringing together 90 bright participants. The event is designed to give budding law students an unparalleled opportunity to practice advocacy, research, and legal reasoning in a competitive environment. The competition will conclude with the distribution of numerous awards recognizing excellence in oral advocacy, written memorials, and overall performance.

In his inaugural address, Justice U. U. Lalit emphasized the role of moot courts in shaping the careers of aspiring lawyers. He explained that moot courts are not just a simulation of real courtroom proceedings, but a rigorous training ground where students learn discipline, clarity of thought, and the art of persuasion. He expressed that such competitions inculcate both knowledge of law and professional ethics, essential for the pursuit of justice. “Moot courts strengthen your foundation as lawyers. They prepare you to argue not just with logic, but also with responsibility towards society,” he remarked, inspiring participants to give their best.

Welcoming the distinguished guests and participants, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Asian Education Group and Asian Law College, shared his pride in hosting such a prestigious international event. “We are delighted to host 30 teams, 21 cities of India, and one international team from Bangladesh, bringing together 90 young participants. The Moot Court Competition not only enhances advocacy skills but also builds confidence, leadership, and cross-cultural understanding. This is a platform where tomorrow’s leaders of the legal world are being shaped,” said Dr. Marwah.

The ceremony marked a memorable beginning of the competition, which will continue with multiple rounds judged by distinguished jurists, senior advocates, and legal experts.
