Seminar on “How Urdu and Hindi Enhance our Mother Tongue” at 10th Global Literary Festival Noida

Noida, India – October 2024: As part of the 10th Global Literary Festival Noida 2024, a thought-provoking seminar titled “How Urdu and Hindi Enhance our Mother Tongue” was held at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. The seminar was inaugurated by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Festival President, who emphasized the importance of language as a binding force in cultural and literary evolution.

Prominent literary figures and speakers from various fields shared their insights during the seminar. Dr. Rachna Nirmal, Poet and Author, expressed her views on the richness of both Urdu and Hindi languages in contributing to the cultural fabric of India. Dr. Pallavi Prakash, Writer and Filmmaker, highlighted how storytelling through these languages enhances emotional connectivity. Poonam Kalra, Author and Motivational Speaker, added her perspective on how language shapes personal growth and motivation.

The event also witnessed valuable inputs from Dr. Vivek Gautam, Author and Chairman of Udbhav, who spoke about the cultural significance of both languages. Dr. PK Rajput, Thought Leader and Author, further narrated the role of language in shaping ideologies. Sunil Salgia, Scriptwriter and Film Director, spoke about the influence of Urdu and Hindi in Indian cinema, while Rais Azam Khan, Poet and Author, enriched the session with his poetic expressions.

One of the significant highlights of the event was the release of the book Love Beyond Forever, authored by Dr. Pallavi Prakash. The book, focusing on the themes of love and human relationships, added to the vibrant literary discourse of the festival.

The newsletter for the event, designed and prepared by students of AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication, was also released during the seminar.

The event was supported by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and the Asian Academy of Arts, underlining the commitment of the festival to promote linguistic and cultural exchanges.

National Media Conference by AAFT School of Journalism & Mass Communication

Noida: The School of Journalism & Mass Communication (SOJMC) at AAFT is proud to announce the commencement of the National Conference on Social Media Algorithms & Filter Bubble: Redefining the News Landscape. This hybrid event brings together esteemed dignitaries, scholars, and practitioners to delve into the intricacies of social media algorithms and their impact on the dissemination of news.

The conference commenced with a warm welcome and introduction of dignitaries by Ms. Mehak Zaidi, Assistant Professor at SOJMC. The ceremonial lighting of the lamp and garlanding of Lord Ganesha was conducted by Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University, symbolizing the auspicious beginning of the event.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media & Arts, provided insights into the theme of the conference, highlighting the significance of understanding social media algorithms and their role in shaping the news landscape.

Esteemed speakers including Prof. (Dr.) Ajay Kumar, Executive Director – Academic & Quality Assurance; Prof. Dr. Surbhi Dahiya, Course Director, Department of English Journalism at IIMC; Prof. Dr. Sumit Narula, Director of Amity School of Communication at Amity University Gurugram; Prof. Dr. Tasha Singh Parihar, School of Media & Communication Studies at Galgotias University; and Prof. Dr. Pitabas Pradhan, Chairman of AMU Mass Communication Department, shared their perspectives on the subject, enriching the discourse with their expertise and insights.

The conference concluded with Ms. Shikha Tyagi, Dean of the School of Journalism & Mass Communication, delivering insightful concluding remarks, emphasizing the importance of continued dialogue and collaboration in navigating the evolving media landscape.

The National Conference on Social Media Algorithms & Filter Bubble served as a platform for academia, industry, and practitioners to exchange ideas, address challenges, and chart the course for a more informed and responsible media ecosystem. National Press Day Celebrated at AAFT School of Journalism

Sandeep Marwah Launched Poster on National Press Day at Noida Film City

Noida: AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication in association with ICMEI-International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry celebrated National Press Day at Marwah Studios which falls on 16
th November every year.

The day is celebrated to commemorate a free and responsible press. It was on this day that the Press Council of India started functioning as a moral watchdog to ensure that the press maintains high standards and is not fettered by any influence or threats.

“Let us celebrate the occasion of National Press Day by thanking all the press professionals for doing their job and serving us with the latest happenings around the world. If there is not a responsible and dutiful press in a nation, the nation cannot progress and prosper,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI  wishing all the faculties and students of AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication a very Happy National Press Day.

A poster was launched by Sandeep Marwah on this occasion and everyone expressed their views on free press in a simple function at Noida Film City.

New Session of AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication Inaugurated

New Session of AAFT Journalism School Inaugurated

Noida: AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication has created a wonderful niche for itself. The students have done very well into the professional field and now are part of industry in a big way. They are working in every channel, newspaper, radio stations and media houses. The syllabus has been rectified many times to suit the industry requirements,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah initiating the talks on the inauguration of new session of AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication at Noida Film City.

“I congratulate Dr. Sandeep Marwah for his nonstop working towards the media education and upgrading the standard of Indian education system. His contribution in media is immense and cannot be now ignored by anyone. I am pleased to be here at Marwah Studios and to interact with the young journalists,” said Prabhu Chawla veteran Journalist and former Group Editor of India Today as Chief Guest while sharing his vast experience in journalism with the students of journalism & still photography.

We are the promoters of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios a well-known media house, Radio Noida, a newspaper Country & Politics and television Center MSTV. We have also given 12th February as the International Day of Journalism and the biggest celebration of journalism under Global Festival of Journalism every year on 12to 14 February,” added Dr. Shikha Tyagi Associate Director of the School presenting vote of thanks.

The Cultural Counsellor of Embassy of Venezuela Alfredo Caldera also addressed the students. Later Dr. Marwah presented Life Membership of International Journalism Centre of ICMEI to Prabhu Chawla and Alfredo Caldera.
