National Press Day Celebrated at AAFT with Inspiring Master Class by Naveen Kumar, Editor-in-Chief, Article 19

Noida, 16 November 2025: AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication marked National Press Day with an engaging and insightful programme at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida. The event was graced by media personality and educationist Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, along with distinguished journalist Naveen Kumar, Editor-in-Chief of Article 19, who conducted a special master class for journalism students.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah emphasized the vital role of a free, fair, and responsible press in strengthening democracy. He highlighted AAFT’s continued commitment to nurturing ethical and courageous journalists who can contribute meaningfully to society through truthful and impactful storytelling.

Delivering his master class, Naveen Kumar captivated the students with his deep insights into contemporary media challenges and the evolving landscape of journalism. He spoke about the importance of maintaining credibility, safeguarding journalistic integrity, and adapting to new-age digital tools without compromising core values. He motivated students to remain fearless, curious, and committed to uncovering facts, reminding them that journalism is both a responsibility and a public service.

The session concluded with an interactive Q&A, during which students actively engaged with Mr. Kumar on issues related to media freedom, investigative reporting, and career pathways in the news industry.

The event successfully underscored the significance of National Press Day and reaffirmed AAFT’s dedication to fostering excellence in media education.

Sandeep Marwah Launched Poster on National Press Day at Noida Film City

Noida: AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication in association with ICMEI-International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry celebrated National Press Day at Marwah Studios which falls on 16
th November every year.

The day is celebrated to commemorate a free and responsible press. It was on this day that the Press Council of India started functioning as a moral watchdog to ensure that the press maintains high standards and is not fettered by any influence or threats.

“Let us celebrate the occasion of National Press Day by thanking all the press professionals for doing their job and serving us with the latest happenings around the world. If there is not a responsible and dutiful press in a nation, the nation cannot progress and prosper,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI  wishing all the faculties and students of AAFT School of Journalism and Mass Communication a very Happy National Press Day.

A poster was launched by Sandeep Marwah on this occasion and everyone expressed their views on free press in a simple function at Noida Film City.
