ICMEI Observes Shaheed Diwas in Reverent Tribute to India’s Martyrs

Noida, 23rd March: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) in association with Bhagat Singh Forum of AAFT solemnly observed Shaheed Diwas at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida, in heartfelt remembrance of the brave martyrs whose sacrifices laid the foundation of India’s freedom.

The occasion paid tribute to the legendary freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar, who became eternal symbols of courage, patriotism, and supreme sacrifice in the struggle for independence.

The program witnessed the presence of distinguished guests, students, media professionals, and members of the artistic community, who gathered to honor the indomitable spirit of the martyrs. The event featured reflections, discussions, and a collective pledge to uphold the values for which these heroes laid down their lives.

Addressing the gathering, Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, emphasized the enduring significance of remembering the sacrifices of the nation’s heroes. Noida: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in collaboration with the AAFT School of PR Events and Advertising, and Bhagat Singh Forum commemorated the birth anniversary of one of India’s greatest freedom fighters, Shaheed Bhagat Singh, on September 28th. The celebration was held at Marwah Studios in Noida, with students, faculty, and distinguished guests participating in the event.

To mark the occasion, a special poster honoring the life and sacrifices of Bhagat Singh was unveiled. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chancellor of AAFT University, led the celebrations with a heartfelt tribute to the revolutionary leader.

 Dr. Marwah spoke about the indomitable spirit of Bhagat Singh and his profound impact on India’s fight for independence. “Bhagat Singh’s courage, conviction, and dedication to the cause of freedom continue to inspire generations. He was not just a revolutionary but also a visionary who dreamed of a free and equitable India. His sacrifice reminds us of the immense price paid for our freedom, and it is our responsibility to honor his legacy by working towards a just and progressive nation,” said Dr. Marwah.

New Delhi, India – March 25, 2024 – Marwah Studios, in collaboration with the Bhagat Singh Forum and supported by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, solemnly observed Shaheed Diwas, also known as Martyr’s Day, on March 23, 2024. This day marks the sacrifice of three valiant freedom fighters – Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar – who were hanged by the British colonial rulers in India.

Led by Dr. Sandeep Marwah, the founder of Marwah Studios, the event aimed to honor the courageous spirits of these iconic leaders of India’s independence movement. Dr. Marwah spoke passionately about the significance of Shaheed Diwas and paid tribute to the enduring legacy of Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru, and Sukhdev Thapar.

Shaheed Diwas Observed at AAFT University

New Delhi; “Nothing is like respect for your country and for your country men. Every individual must be proud of his or her motherland. The country should always be the priority in the eyes of Indians. We have shed blood to get independence and peace. It is a day to remember the three great leaders of the  nation,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University and Chair for Bhagat Singh Forum talking to the young Indians and reminding them of the sacrifice of three youth of the country at the time of Independence in a conference at Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

On March 23, the three freedom fighters- Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar were hanged to death by Britishers. These heroes fought for the welfare of people and sacrificed their lives for the same cause. For many young Indians, Bhagat Singh, Rajguru, Sukhdev have become a source of inspiration. Even during the British rule, their sacrifice urged many people to come forth and fight for their freedom. Therefore, in order to homage to the three of these revolutionaries, India has commemorated March 23 as Shaheed Diwas.

Bhagat Singh Remembered at AAFT University

New Delhi: Bhagat Singh’s name is synonymous with the revolutionary movement that contributed to India’s freedom struggle. Celebrated for his gusto and courage to stand up to the British rule, Bhagat Singh was born in 1907 and gave his life for the country when he was sentenced to death by execution at the ripe age of 23 along with his associates Rajguru and Sukhdev on the charges of assassinating British police officer John Saunders, who had ordered brutal police action on independence movement leader Lala Lajpat Rai.

“We all are indebted to this great leader who has laid his life for the country and left permanent mark on the minds of Indians. He is an ideal for youth of this country and all time example of love for the Nation. Let’s shout him name him again and again to develop a new energy to work for the motherland,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor of AAFT University of Media And Arts on the birth anniversary of Bhagat Singh motivating students of all classes.

Sandeep Marwah repeated the quotes said by Bhagat Singh in loud voice ”Life is lived on its own, other’s shoulders are used only at the time of funeral. May the Sun in his course visit no land more free, more happy, more lovely, than this our own Country. Any man who stands for progress has to criticize, disbelieve and challenge every item of the old faith. The people generally get accustomed to the established order of things and begin to tremble at the very idea of a change. It is this lethargically spirit that needs be replaced by the revolutionary spirit.”. The event finished with National anthem and supported by Bhagat Singh Forum at Marwah Studios.

Bhagat Singh Remembered on Martyrs' Day



New Delhi: Shaheed Diwas is observed on 23 March to mark the occasion when freedom fighters Bhagat Singh, Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar were hanged to death by the British in 1931. The three were convicted for the assassination of John Saunders, a British police officer.

“Lets give our tribute to the three heroes Bhagat Singh, Rajguru and Sukhdev  for their courage and bravery and laying down their lives for the country on this Shaheed Diwas Day,” said Sandeep Marwah Chair for Shaheed Bhagat Singh Forum at Marwah Studios.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been a product of Shaheed Bhagat Singh College  of Delhi University of 1978 Batch. “We have learned a lot from this great leader- The Patriotism,” added Dr. Marwah.

Bhagat Singh Forum at Marwah Studios has been involved in making films on Bhagat Singh, maintaining a book library and a film library. Number of workshops,seminars, interaction programs, talks are arranged to cultivate the sense of Nationalism within the young people of India.
