New Delhi, July 25, 2025: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, inaugurated and delivered the keynote address at the 14th Annual Education Excellence Conclave organized by the Centre for Education Growth and Research (CEGR)—India’s leading and only dedicated education think tank. The prestigious conclave was held at Hotel Eros, New Delhi, and brought together top academicians, policy-makers, and industry leaders to deliberate on the future of education in India.

In his keynote address, Dr. Marwah emphasized the need for innovative and global approaches to education, asserting that Indian institutions can offer standards of learning that match or even surpass leading foreign universities. He highlighted the remarkable achievements of the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT), proudly sharing that AAFT ranks among the top five film schools in the world, has ten world records to its credit, and is a case study in 27 countries. AAFT has also received over 1000 awards from institutions in India and abroad for its unique contributions to media education and cultural diplomacy.

Mr. Ravish Roshan, Director of CEGR, lauded Dr. Marwah’s visionary leadership in the education sector and his unwavering commitment to skill development, creativity, and research.

In recognition of his outstanding and exemplary contributions to education, skill development, and research, Dr. Sandeep Marwah was conferred with the prestigious CEGR Iconic Leader of the Year 2025 Award during the 25th Rashtriya Shiksha Gaurav Puraskar Ceremony.

The event celebrated individuals and institutions that are shaping the future of education in India, with Dr. Marwah standing as a beacon of innovation and excellence.

Sandeep Marwah Inaugurates First Physical Meeting of Global Media Education Council

NOIDA: In a significant milestone, the Global Media Education Council (GMEC) celebrated its first offline meeting at Marwah Studios in Noida Film City. Inaugurated by the esteemed Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, who serves as the patron of the organization, the event marked a pivotal moment after two years of virtual existence.

The GMEC, created during the pandemic, commemorated the 75th anniversary of the Republic of India with a remarkable achievement of organizing 75 webinars. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, a guiding force and mentor, led the inauguration ceremony, bringing together a distinguished gathering of educationists specializing in films, television, and media.

During the round conference, participants engaged under the leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah to discuss and formulate new strategies for the upcoming year. The event provided a platform for valuable exchanges of ideas and insights, laying the foundation for future initiatives and collaborations.

Secretary General Ambrish Saxena presented a comprehensive report on GMEC, covering its journey from inception to date, offering attendees a detailed overview of the organization’s impactful endeavors.

The conference saw an influx of suggestions and discussions, highlighting the commitment of the attendees to the growth and development of media education globally. Prof. Ujjwal Anu Chowdhury, Vice President of GMEC, skillfully condensed the conference proceedings and extended an invitation to all for the upcoming conference in Mumbai.

Despite geographical distances, President of GMEC, Prof. K.G. Suresh, joined the conference online from Bhopal, extending congratulations to all attendees for this momentous first physical meeting.

In recognition of their contributions, Dr. Sandeep Marwah honored all the members with memberships to the World Peace Development and Research Foundation of Marwah Studios.

The GMEC’s first physical meeting not only symbolizes a step towards normalcy but also underscores the organization’s commitment to fostering collaboration, innovation, and excellence in global media education.

We all must put in efforts to make it a very vibrant industry. Education is the need of the hour,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of CEGR- Centre for Education Growth and Research and Chancellor AAFT University of Media and Arts at the opening session of 5th Education Summit in Bangalore.

“Centre for Education Growth and Research (CEGR) is the leading and only education think tank in India, credited with four innovations. CEGR provides a platform for exchange of dialogue among educationists, the media and policy makers and augments educational growth and research. With over 10,000 aligned academicians, corporate and researchers, the CEGR National Council includes 100 Vice Chancellors from various regions of India and leading industrialists,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah to the house full of academicians from different parts of the country.

“Deep down, every good teacher knows the impact and importance of education. It isn’t just about learning reading, writing and different subjects  at school. Instead, formal education is about gaining the knowledge and the skills needed to become a better person and create a better society to live in,” said Thaawar Chand Gehlot Honourable Governor of Karnataka while lighting the ceremonial lamp at inauguration of 5th Education Summit.

“The goal of education is the advancement of knowledge and the dissemination of truth. Knowledge is power. We all have to bring standards in education. Indian education system is big but it needs to add more quality to it,” Gehlot added.

Present on the occasion Mohit Soni CEO Media & Entertainment Skill Council, Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Dr. Abhilasha Gaur, CEO Electronic Sector Skill Council Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Er. B.S.  Yadav National Vice President CEGR, Manish Kothari President CEGR Karnataka State also spoke on the occasion.

Ravish Roshan Director CEGR briefed  the house with the activities of CEGR and later proposed vote of thanks to all the dignities. Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented awards and mementos to some of the prominent educationist in higher education.

New Delhi: The educational sector is the most promising and growing industry in the Indian market. The Indian education sector is the biggest and fast-growing business model. However, running an educational institution is a task and has been a challenge in itself. Additionally, the sector which was considered largely to be charitable trust has now turned into an industry. Moreover, starting a new venture in this sector can be a profitable one if a systematic procedure is followed,” said Dr Sandeep Marwah President of CEGR-Centre for Education Growth  and Research addressing the members of International Film and Television Research Centre at Noida Film City.

Moreover, education is a subject matter of both central and state governments. Additionally, being in the concurrent list of the 7th Schedule both centre and state government can make rules and policies governing this sector added Dr Marwah.

Similarly, primary education in India is regulated by the board a school is affiliated to, like the Central Board of Secondary Education, Indian Certificate of Secondary Education, or any of the state boards.

On the other hand,  the higher education is regulated by the University Grant Commission, All India Council for Technical Education, Medical Council of India and Bar Council of India informed Marwah.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been part of the All India Board of Applied Arts, Crafts and Design All India Council for Technical Education, Ministry of Education Government of India. He is also the National Chairman of Media and Entertainment Committee of Bureau of Indian Standard with Ministry of Consumer Affairs Government of India.

President CEGR Sandeep Marwah Addressed ICMEI Education Committee

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University and President of CEGR- Centre for Education Growth and Research addressed the members of powerful Education Committee of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry and briefed about the different organizations of Ministry of Education in Government of India.

Talking to the members Dr. Marwah explained about the University Grants Commission, which is a statutory organization established by an Act of Parliament in 1956 for the coordination, determination and maintenance of standards of university education.

Apart from providing grants to eligible universities and colleges, the Commission also advises the Central and State Governments on the measures which are necessary for the development of Higher Education. It functions from New Delhi as well as its six Regional offices located in Bangalore, Bhopal, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Kolkata and Pune.

Dr. Marwah also talked about The Association of Indian universities (AIU), which is a registered society under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 with membership of Indian Universities. It provides a forum for administrators and academicians of member universities to exchange views and discuss matters of common concern.

It acts as a bureau of information exchange in higher education and brings out a number of useful publications, including the “Universities Handbook”, research papers and a weekly journal titled “University News”.

Dr, Marwah thanked Ministry of Education, Government of India for taking him on the Board of Applied Arts in AICTE and Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India for nominating hm as National Chairman for Media and Entertainment Committee in BIS which also has a head Media Education.

Plus, teaching a student can inspire them to pursue leadership roles and positively impact those around them,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah National President of CEGR addressing the audience with opening remarks at the 10th Higher Education Summit on the occasion of 10th Foundation Day of CEGR

“I welcome you all to the 10th foundation day of CEGR- Centre for Education Growth and Research and also the 10th Higher Education Summit where best of the brains from all over India are going to speak out their heart and vast experience in education industry. Education is one thing no one can take away from you Education is the key that unlocks the golden door to freedom. ,” added Dr. Marwah also Chancellor of AAFT University.

The grand opening took place at Hotel Shangri-La with the presence of Mentor CEGR Prof. K.K.Aggarwal Chairman National Board of Accreditation, Prof. R.K.Soni Advisor AICTE, Dr. Buddha Chandrashekhar Chief Coordinating Officer AICTE, Dr. Ramesh Unnikrishnan Advisor AICTE, Dr. Neeraj Saxena Advisor AICTE,  Dr. Biswajit Saha Director Central Board of Secondary Education and Padma Shri Prof. G.D. Yadav Emeritus Professor of Eminence Institute of Chemical Technology.

The summit had three more technical sessions attended by large number of educationists from all over India. Later some of the prominent people were awarded for their contribution to education industry. The event was coordinated by dynamic Ravish Roshan Director CEGR who also presented vote of thanks.

Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra the current president of CEGR handed over the baton of CEGR to Dr. Sandeep Marwah and wished him all the best for the coming year. “I am sure Sandeep Marwah has a bigger vision for CEGR and he has the capacity and capability to prove the big change in the educational system of India. I wish him all the success,” said Kunwar Shekhar Vijendra.

New Delhi: Renowned educationist and Chancellor of AAFT University Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been elected unopposed as the next National President of CEGR- Centre for Education Growth and Research in a joint meeting of the managing committee of CEGR informed Ravish Roshan Director & Member Secretary of CEGR in a press conference.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah is founder of Noida Film City, Founder President of Marwah Studios, Founder Chancellor of AAFT University, National Chairman of Media and Entertainment Committee of BIS Ministry of Consumer Affairs and public Distribution, Government of India. He is in education industry for thirty years.

CEGR- Centre for Education Growth and Research is the exclusive Think Tank and Apex body for Higher Education in India with large number of Universities and Institutions of Higher Learning as its members. It also provides membership to many Chancellors, Vice Chancellors and Academic leaders from all over India through National and State Committees.

New Delhi: With the formation of new Managing committee for the calendar year 2020 of CEGR- Centre For Education Growth And Research renowned educationist and Chancellor of AAFT University Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been nominated as the Senior Vice President of the organization.

The current President of CEGR- Prof. A.P. Mittal Member Secretary AICTE announced the name of forthcoming President Sanjeev Goswami now the Managing Director of Springer Nature and Dr. Sandeep Marwah as Senior Vice President of the popular think tank in education of the country.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been in education for now more than 26 years and has been rated many times as one of the best educationist in the World. He has trained more than 19000 students from 145 countries of the World. Dr. Marwah has been a case study in many well known international institutions.

Ravish Roshan, Director, CEGR will continue to be the Member Secretary of the organization.
