Bangladesh Cuisine Steals the Spotlight at International Food Festival during 18th Global Film Festival Noida 2025

Noida, India: The rich and diverse flavors of Bangladesh were beautifully showcased at the International Food Festival held during the 18th Global Film Festival Noida 2025, adding a vibrant culinary dimension to the globally celebrated event. The Bangladesh food pavilion was creatively conceptualized and presented by the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism, offering visitors an authentic taste of Bangladeshi heritage through traditional dishes and elegant presentation.


The pavilion was formally inaugurated by Mr. Faisal Mahmud, Minister (Press), High Commission of Bangladesh, who appreciated the initiative for promoting cultural understanding through cuisine. Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of AAFT and Founder of the Global Film Festival Noida, said that food is one of the strongest mediums of cultural diplomacy, connecting nations beyond language and geography, and lauded Bangladesh for its rich culinary traditions.


Expressing his delight, Mr. Faisal Mahmud congratulated AAFT for curating an impressive and authentic representation of Bangladeshi cuisine, stating that such platforms play a vital role in strengthening people-to-people relations and celebrating shared cultural values. The Bangladesh presentation emerged as a major attraction at the festival, reinforcing the spirit of global unity and cultural exchange that defines GFFN 2025.

Noida: The 11th Global Literary Festival Noida 2025 at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida, celebrated the rich and diverse culinary heritage of Bangladesh through a special event titled “Cuisines from Bangladesh”, organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) in association with the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism.

The event was inaugurated by Mr. Faisal Mahmud, Minister (Press), High Commission of Bangladesh, who appreciated the initiative of promoting cultural exchange through the art of cuisine. He said, “Food carries the essence of our identity, emotions, and traditions. The presentation of Bangladeshi cuisine at this global platform beautifully reflects the warmth, hospitality, and vibrant culture of Bangladesh.”

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair for the Indo Bangladesh Film and Cultural Forum, welcomed the distinguished guest and emphasized the role of food in strengthening international relations. “Cuisine is a universal language that unites people beyond borders. This showcase of Bangladeshi flavors adds a wonderful cultural dimension to our festival and enhances our bond with Bangladesh,” said Dr. Marwah.

The students and faculty of the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism prepared an impressive menu featuring traditional Bangladeshi dishes that highlighted the nation’s culinary richness and diversity. The event provided guests a unique opportunity to experience the authentic taste of Bangladesh while celebrating the spirit of friendship and cooperation between the two countries.

Noida: 25th May 2025 – In a remarkable celebration of cinematic collaboration and cultural diplomacy, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Founder of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), proudly presented the Life Membership of the International Film and Television Club to two distinguished filmmakers—Piyush Saha from West Bengal, India, and Sukanta Sumon from Bangladesh—at a special ceremony held at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

New Delhi, March 26, 2025: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extends its heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency Md. Mustafizur Rahman, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India, and to the people of Bangladesh on the occasion of their Independence Day, observed annually on March 26th.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Founder of Marwah Studios, lauded the strong historical, cultural, and emotional ties that bind India and Bangladesh. “On this momentous day, we salute the resilience, courage, and unwavering spirit of the people of Bangladesh. Noida, 16th December: On the significant occasion of Victory Day of Bangladesh, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), extended his warmest congratulations to H.E. Mustafizur Rehman, High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India, and the people of Bangladesh. ICMEI Congratulated Bangladesh on Its National Day

New Delhi: “I on behalf of ICMEI, Media and Entertainment Industry and Art & Culture Fraternity of India take this opportunity to extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Muammad Imran High Commissioner of Bangladesh to India and people of Bangladesh on the Independence Day which falls on 26th March,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Diplomatic relations between the two countries formally began with the visit of Indian Prime minister Indira Gandhi on 19 March 1972, at Dhaka , where she signed the Indo Bangladeshi Treaty of Friendship, Cooperation and Peace  with then Prime Minister of Bangladesh Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
