Noida, October 10 – The Indo Fiji Film and Cultural Forum, under the esteemed leadership of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, celebrated Fiji Day by extending heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Jagnnath Sami, High Commissioner of Fiji to India, and to the people of Fiji on this joyous occasion.

India Fiji Forum Launched at Fiji High Commission

New Delhi:  In a celebration of the enduring and remarkable cultural ties between India and Fiji, a momentous event was held at the High Commission of Fiji in New Delhi. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of Marwah Studios, graced the occasion as a guest of honor during the launch of the India Fiji Forum, spearheaded by Gaurav Gupta of GTTC- Global Trade and Technology Council.

The historical bonds between India and Fiji have endured for centuries, with approximately thirty five percent of the Fijian population being of Indian origin. Their continued embrace of Indian customs, religion, festivals, traditions, and way of life is a testament to the profound cultural connection shared by these two nations.

The India Fiji Forum, a newly established platform, has garnered the unwavering support of the Indo Fiji Film and Cultural Forum. This cultural collaboration, under the chairmanship of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, operates internationally from the vibrant Marwah Film City in Noida, India.

The event at the Fiji High Commission in New Delhi was a rich tapestry of cultural expressions. It featured captivating performances of traditional Fijian dances and music, an enchanting magic show, and engaging discussions. Nilesh Kumar, Counselor at the Fiji High Commission, shared that the event successfully showcased the diverse and vibrant cultural heritage of Fiji.

His Excellency Kamlesh Shashi Prakash, High Commissioner of Fiji and Patron of the Indo Fiji Film and Cultural Forum, inaugurated the India Fiji Forum. He extended his blessings to the artists in attendance, symbolizing the strong cultural ties that bind the two nations.

The event saw a diverse and enthusiastic audience, representing various segments of life, who gathered to celebrate the rich tapestry of cultural exchange and cooperation between India and Fiji.

Fiji National Day Celebrated at ICMEI

New Delhi: “I on behalf of media and entertainment industry & art and culture fraternity of India take this opportunity to extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Yogesh Punja the High Commissioner of Fiji to India and the people of Fiji on their National Day which falls on 10th October,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry from its international headquarters at Noida Film City.

In continuation to different MOU s signed by Indian Government and Fiji Government, an organization was created to develop and promote people to people contact between the two countries under the name and banner of Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum by the High Commission of Fiji in India and Dr. Sandeep Marwah Was nominated as the Chair for the same.

Large number of programs have been designed and executed. Fiji has been partners in Global Film Festival ,Global Festival of Journalism, Global fashion Week and Global Literary Festival round the year along with other interesting events.

Noida: A delegation of film and television professionals from Fiji visited at Marwah Studios to develop and promote relation between two countries through cinema and other visual arts.

“We are very happy to receive the delegation from Fiji. Our IFFCF- Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum has picked up very nicely. We are in touch with the High Commission of Fiji in India. H.E. Yogesh Punja is a very help full person,” expressed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

Later Sandeep Marwah presented the membership of World Peace Development And Research Foundation of AAFT University to all the members of Delegation. A radio program was also recorded at Radio Noida 107.4FM.

A poster to observe United Nation’s World Hydrographic Day was released. Dr. Mridula Tandon the Co- Director of Global Literary Festival Noida also joined on this occasion.

“We are thankful to Marwah Studios for the time and tour which was organized for us and to support our idea of joint venture,” said Ranjit Raju film maker from Fiji. Actor Shimran & Jyotishma Cinematographer Danish Singh and Production incharge  Shailendra were part of the delegation.

Celebration of Rugby at Fiji High Commission


New Delhi: Organizers have marked 100 days to go before the opening of the Rugby World Cup by saying the challenges of staging the sport’s showpiece event in a non-traditional rugby nation have largely been overcome, most particularly with ticket sales.

The Sept. 20 to Nov. 2 tournament will feature 20 teams playing across 12 cities stretching from Japan’s northern main island of Hokkaido to Kyushu in the southwest.

“It’s the first time the event will be held outside of the traditional rugby strongholds, having started in 1987 with a Rugby World Cup held jointly by Australia and New Zealand. The tournament has also been hosted across Britain and Ireland, France and South Africa,” informed H.E. Yogesh Punja High Commissioner of Fiji to India.

“I am pleased to be here for this sports oriented program. India is coming up in Rugby team and sure soon we will be playing in World Cup,” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios & Chair for Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum.

H.E. Daniel Chuburu Ambassador of Argentina Republic, H.E. Paulias Korni OBE High Commissioner of Papua New Guinea , H.E. Juan Angulo Ambassador of Chile, H.E. Archil Dzuliashvili Ambassador of Georgia to India showed their keen interest in the show of Rugby.

Kenko Sone Minister Economic & Development and Masahiro Kobayashi First Secretary Embassy of Japan, Mabet Van Rensburg Counsellor Political of South African High Commission, Claire Ripley (Trade & Economic Head) & Vineet George Media Program Officer from  Australia High Commission and Large number of Diplomats, sports persons and Rugby team of India attended the function.
