Noida: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Chair of the Indo Fiji Film and Cultural Forum, extended his heartiest congratulations to His Excellency Jagannath Sami, High Commissioner of Fiji to India, and to the wonderful people of Fiji on the occasion of Fiji Day, celebrated on 10th October.

New Delhi:  In a celebration of the enduring and remarkable cultural ties between India and Fiji, a momentous event was held at the High Commission of Fiji in New Delhi. Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University and President of Marwah Studios, graced the occasion as a guest of honor during the launch of the India Fiji Forum, spearheaded by Gaurav Gupta of GTTC- Global Trade and Technology Council.

The historical bonds between India and Fiji have endured for centuries, with approximately thirty five percent of the Fijian population being of Indian origin. Their continued embrace of Indian customs, religion, festivals, traditions, and way of life is a testament to the profound cultural connection shared by these two nations.

The India Fiji Forum, a newly established platform, has garnered the unwavering support of the Indo Fiji Film and Cultural Forum. This cultural collaboration, under the chairmanship of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, operates internationally from the vibrant Marwah Film City in Noida, India.

The event at the Fiji High Commission in New Delhi was a rich tapestry of cultural expressions. It featured captivating performances of traditional Fijian dances and music, an enchanting magic show, and engaging discussions. Nilesh Kumar, Counselor at the Fiji High Commission, shared that the event successfully showcased the diverse and vibrant cultural heritage of Fiji.

7th Fashion and Design Week Noida 2023 Showcases Stunning Garments from Around the World

Second Day Session First at 6th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2023

Noida, India – May 25, 2023 – The 7th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida mesmerized audiences with a grand display of creativity and cultural diversity during its second-day session. The event, held at Marwah Studios, not only showcased an exquisite range of garments but also featured a delightful food festival and a remarkable furniture exhibition.

The day commenced with a tantalizing food festival, where students from the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism delighted guests with a wide array of delectable cuisines. The flavors of Peru, Fiji, and Rwanda took center stage, offering a culinary journey through these vibrant countries.

Simultaneously, visitors explored two magnificent halls at Marwah Studios, adorned with a captivating furniture exhibition. Each furniture piece represented various countries and reflected the artistic brilliance and imaginative flair of the talented students.

Among the esteemed guests in attendance were Emile Mwepesi, First Secretary of the High Commission of Rwanda; Nilesh Roneel Kumar, Counsellor of the High Commission of Fiji; and H.E. Javier Paulinich, Ambassador of the Embassy of Peru, who graced the event as the Chief Guest.

However, the highlight of the day was undoubtedly the fashion show and display of design talent in garments. Renowned designers such as Akshay, Divya Gupta Manti, Mahek Gupta, Tithi Manchanda, Shavi Singhal, Riya Negi, Divya Gupta, Aditi Chaursia, Uzma Parween, Divya Singh, and Muskan Parveen presented their remarkable collections, drawing inspiration from countries such as Peru, Fiji, Rwanda, Georgia, Iceland, Belarus, and Morocco.

The event also witnessed the presence of distinguished guests including Jimy Trujillo from the Embassy of Peru, Elia Sevutia of the High Commission of Fiji, Fabio Subia from the Embassy of Peru, media personality Dr. Kiranjeet Sethi, Indian classical dancer Sati Kumar, event designer Jaishree Jain, architects Ar. Ishan Garg and Ar. Supreet Batra, Rohit Rajpal, Alka & Sanjeev Takyar, architect Dr. Harish Tripathi, garment exporter Lali Sahni, and designer Lipika Sud, among others.

The 6th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2023 surpassed all expectations, captivating the audience with its extraordinary blend of fashion, art, and culture. This annual extravaganza continues to foster global collaborations and celebrate the boundless creativity and talent within the fashion and design industry.

Fiji National Day Celebrated at ICMEI

New Delhi: “I on behalf of media and entertainment industry & art and culture fraternity of India take this opportunity to extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Yogesh Punja the High Commissioner of Fiji to India and the people of Fiji on their National Day which falls on 10th October,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry from its international headquarters at Noida Film City.

In continuation to different MOU s signed by Indian Government and Fiji Government, an organization was created to develop and promote people to people contact between the two countries under the name and banner of Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum by the High Commission of Fiji in India and Dr. Sandeep Marwah Was nominated as the Chair for the same.

Large number of programs have been designed and executed. Fiji has been partners in Global Film Festival ,Global Festival of Journalism, Global fashion Week and Global Literary Festival round the year along with other interesting events.

Noida: A delegation of film and television professionals from Fiji visited at Marwah Studios to develop and promote relation between two countries through cinema and other visual arts.

“We are very happy to receive the delegation from Fiji. Our IFFCF- Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum has picked up very nicely. We are in touch with the High Commission of Fiji in India. H.E. Yogesh Punja is a very help full person,” expressed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

Later Sandeep Marwah presented the membership of World Peace Development And Research Foundation of AAFT University to all the members of Delegation. A radio program was also recorded at Radio Noida 107.4FM.

A poster to observe United Nation’s World Hydrographic Day was released. Dr. Mridula Tandon the Co- Director of Global Literary Festival Noida also joined on this occasion.

“We are thankful to Marwah Studios for the time and tour which was organized for us and to support our idea of joint venture,” said Ranjit Raju film maker from Fiji. Actor Shimran & Jyotishma Cinematographer Danish Singh and Production incharge  Shailendra were part of the delegation.

Sandeep Marwah Part of Rugby Session at Fiji High Commission


Celebration of Rugby at Fiji High Commission


New Delhi: Organizers have marked 100 days to go before the opening of the Rugby World Cup by saying the challenges of staging the sport’s showpiece event in a non-traditional rugby nation have largely been overcome, most particularly with ticket sales.

The Sept. 20 to Nov. 2 tournament will feature 20 teams playing across 12 cities stretching from Japan’s northern main island of Hokkaido to Kyushu in the southwest.

“It’s the first time the event will be held outside of the traditional rugby strongholds, having started in 1987 with a Rugby World Cup held jointly by Australia and New Zealand. The tournament has also been hosted across Britain and Ireland, France and South Africa,” informed H.E. Yogesh Punja High Commissioner of Fiji to India.

“I am pleased to be here for this sports oriented program. India is coming up in Rugby team and sure soon we will be playing in World Cup,” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios & Chair for Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum.

H.E. Daniel Chuburu Ambassador of Argentina Republic, H.E. Paulias Korni OBE High Commissioner of Papua New Guinea , H.E. Juan Angulo Ambassador of Chile, H.E. Archil Dzuliashvili Ambassador of Georgia to India showed their keen interest in the show of Rugby.

Fiji-India Relationship to Strengthen Further


Indo Fiji Meet at High Commission of Fiji In New Delhi


New Delhi: The High Commission of Republic of Fiji in New Delhi-India, Indo-Fiji Business Promotion Association (IFBPA) and the Indo-Fiji Film and Cultural Forum (IFFCF) have engaged together to strengthen relationships between Fiji and India. 

This cooperation of uniting the resources and expertise of IFBPA and IFFCF and also bringing both entities to work together to achieve desired goals was an effort led by the High Commissioner, His Excellency Yogesh Punja. The aim of this initiative is to promote Fiji in India and vice- versa. Apart from the strong bilateral ties,

 Fiji and India share many common elements such as culture, language, cuisines and history. A meeting held at the High Commission of Republic of Fiji on 10 June saw the three parties sharing ideas that would be used to promote, create closer links and enhance cultural exchange between the two countries. 

The Indo-Fiji Film and Cultural Forum which is also part of the International Chamber of Media & Entertainment Industry was represented by Mr. Sandeep Marwah who is the president of the company and Mr. Ashok Tyagi who is the Secretary General while Mr Harsh Sahni represented the Indo- Fiji Business Promotion Association in the capacity of director of the company. 

The Indo- Fiji Business Promotion Association on the hand is a non-govt. company which was launched in February 2014 in New Delhi by the Attorney General and Minister for Economy, Civil Service and Communications Hon. Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum. The main aim of this association is to promote and facilitate trade & investment between India and Fiji. It was intended to allow the Fijian and Indian business communities to communicate directly, share market intelligence and facilitate business and joint ventures. It was also targeted to enable the flow of technology, capital and experts. 

The two parties would now work together with the High Commission of Republic of Fiji under the banner of Indo- Fiji Business Promotion Association. In the recent 2019- 2020 budget, the Fijian government announced lucrative tax incentives for Film Making and Audio Visual with an increased film tax rebate from 47% to 75%. Furthermore, a 200% tax deduction will be available to companies investing in camera and other filming equipment for audio visual productions. Mr. Marwah commented that these revised incentives would greatly benefit those in line of film making and audio visuals. 

While the IFBPA would bring expertise from the trade and business side from various sectors, the IFFCF would focus more on the entertainment and media industry. This association will be based in New Delhi, India and it intends to create connectivity with the existing India- Fiji Friendship Forum based in Fiji so that information could be easily shared from both sides. The past government officials having served in Fiji and those currently based in India having any associations with Fiji would also greatly benefit with this collaboration.

Hindi Book Release at Fiji High Commission


New Delhi: A colorful program to enhance the relation and the culture between two countries India and Fiji was conducted at High Commission of Fiji in India.

It was a poetry book written in Hindi by a Fiji writer Shweta was released in a grand way. Sharing her experience while learning Hindi and writing book she said the book has been titled “Ye Bhi Meri Mati Woh Bhi Meri Mati” “because I consider Fiji and India as my mother land. We have deep roots in India and that can never be erased by any civilization,”

Writing Book in Hindi by Fiji writer is not only means promoting Hindi but a wonderful relation between two countries. This act will induce many people to look into the pages of Fiji and realized the historical importance of two countries,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chair Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum.

The book was jointly released by Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios  H.E. Yogesh Punja High Commissioner of Fiji to India, Vijay Jolly Former MLA Delhi, H.E. Gonchig Ganbold Ambassador of Mongolia to India and H.E. Vishwas Sapkal Indian Ambassador to Fiji.

Noida: A roadshow on Fiji tourism was recently organized by he the ministry of Tourism, Government of Fiji in association with Embassy of Fiji at Hotel Shangrila at New Delhi to project it as tourist destination.

“We are here for the international workshops and roadshow to high light our sites, locations, hotels, tours, holiday resorts, water resources, exclusive holidays packages to inform and book business from India,” said H.E. Yogesh Punja High Commissioner of Fiji to India.

“We are impressed by the number of companies government and private participating in this great road show touching hotels, tours and travels, airlines, travel agents etc. . Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum will also support in developing and promoting relations with Indian tour and travel trade,” said Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI and Chair IFFCF.

Later Marwah Studios covered the event for Radio Noida and MSTV Television under the guidance of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Noida: “I am going to carry back home to Fiji the enthusiasm which Sandeep Marwah has showered today during our meet of  IFFCF-Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum,” said H.E. Faiyaz Siddiq Koya Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Lands & Mineral Resources Government of Fiji during his official visit to the ICMEI international Headquarters at Noida Film City.


“Sandeep Marwah deserves much appreciation for his untiring contribution towards development and promotion of relations between India and Fiji. May I request Minister to honor him with the memento as a gesture of goodwill from the Government of Fiji,” said H.E. Nilesh Roneel Kumar Charge d' Affaires High Commission of the Republic of Fiji to India.

“I am impressed by the facilities and quantum of film, television, media, art and culture business Marwah has done in all these years. His six World records are enough to represent his works,” added Minister while handing over the award to Marwah in a grand event at Marwah Studios.

“I am touched by the gesture of the Minister and assure you that this organization will prove its point of view very soon,” thanked Marwah.

Fiji Minister Visited ICMEI Headquarters

Noida: H.E. Faiyaz Siddiq Koya Minister for Industry, Trade, Tourism, Lands & Mineral Resources Government of Fiji paid an official visit to the ICMEI international Headquarters accompanied by H.E. Nilesh Roneel Kumar Charge d' Affaires High Commission of the Republic of Fiji to India.

H.E. Koya informed the formal gathering that Fiji was an India away from India as the ancestors of present day Fijians had migrated there from India and had kept alive their culture and traditions.

President ICMEI Mr. Sandeep Marwah nominated H.E. Koya as the Patron of the Indo-Fiji Film & Cultural Forum and announced a scholarship for a deserving student from Fiji for pursuing media education at AAFT.

H.E. Koya invited the President ICMEI to visit Fiji in order to promote Fiji as the destination for the shootings of Indian Films. President ICMEI offered co-production for the shooting of a film in Fiji to promote it as a tourist destination and announced a festival of films from Fiji, which shall soon take place under the banner of Indo-Fiji Film and Cultural Forum of ICMEI.

The visit ended with the firm determination to bring about love, peace and Unity through art and culture between the people of Fiji and India.

Noida: Indo Fiji Film And Cultural Forum of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry honored H.E. Nilesh Roneel Kumar Charge d’ Affaires of Republic of Fiji to India as the Patron to the forum.

“There are so many similarities in the culture of India and Fiji, don’t forget that the Indian who moved to Fiji many years back have preserved that culture even after third generation. We have very strong ties with India and these kind of association will cemented relations in much better way,” said H.E. Nilesh Roneel Kumar while lighting the ceremonial lamp at Asian Academy of Film And Television.

“Our sole purpose is to bring in love, peace and unity in the World through art and culture. Films, television and media is our forte and will use this strong medium to highlight our association. Last time we have announced a scholarship for the deserving student from Fiji to learn the cinema here in India,” said Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT and Chamber.

“We have no hesitation in allotting a monthly program on radio and television talking about our relations with Fiji. Radio Noida, which is a World Radio, can be heard in Fiji also. It is same with our MSTV on line TV station that can be seen in FIJI also added Marwah.

Later Marwah Presented the Patron Ship to H.E. Nilesh Roneel Kumar in a grand function at ICMEI International Head Quarters.
