Noida, India : The Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT), in collaboration with the Indo-Italy Film and Cultural Forum, organized a special workshop and documentary screening featuring acclaimed Italian police officer and endurance athlete Paolo Venturini at Marwah Studios.

The session was attended by students of Mass Communication and Journalism, who were captivated by the screening of a powerful documentary showcasing Paolo Venturini’s international achievements, including his record-setting endurance run at Ladakh, one of the highest and most challenging terrains for human rehabilitation on Earth.

Italian Film Begged Award of Distinction at 15th Global Film Festival

Noida: On the second day of the 15th Global Film Festival Noida a screening session for the film titled-“Shocking Marriage”  from Italy, was organized in the premises of the Asian Academy of films and television.

The session started with  Sushil Bharti introducing the guests and briefing about the importance of film screening and cinema, explaining this, he also talked about the impact of cinema in society where he said cinema brings humanity together. He also spoke about  the director Demetrio Casile and cast & crew of the film Shocking Marriage.

Ajay Tiwari spoke about various steps which were taken by the government to promote cinema across India in which he also talked about the implementation of various policies. He also emphasized the cultural connect which can be promoted by Cinema. 

Further,  Suraj Tiwari shared his experience of dubbing the film from Italian to Hindi language and the various challenges which came along with it, which includes the music which was to be kept, the original meaning and message which has to be carefully sustained through an appropriate translation of dialogues.  

Talking about the gist of the movie he said that the film tells the story of the marriage of the sister of a local boss with the shyest boy in the town, going through a succession of events that meticulously describe Calabrian customs and traditions and how these still impact everyday life today.

The film was felicitated  with an ‘Award of Distinction’ which was presented by Sandeep Marwah President of the festival. Shocking Marriage was one of the top eighteen films shown in the festival. The event was supported by International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry, AAFT University, Asian Unity Alliance, World Peace Foundation and Indo Italian Film and Cultural Forum.

Noida: “One man practicing sportsmanship is far better than 50 preaching it. The five S’s of sports training are: stamina, speed, strength, skill, and spirit; but the greatest of these is spirit. An athlete cannot run with money in his pockets. He must run with hope in his heart and dreams in his head,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Business School while introducing the renowned sports person from Italy Paolo Venturini at Asian Business School for a workshop on Sports Management.

“The hardest skill to acquire in this sport is the one where you compete all out, give it all you have, and you are still getting beat no matter what you do. When you have the killer instinct to fight through that, it is very special,” express Paolo Venturini sharing his vast experience in running around the World.

Paolo Venturini was born in Padua on March 13th of 1968. Since he was a child, he had always been fond of sports, especially football and athletics. It is running, though, that brings him participating in his first competition at the tender age of 7. He takes part in his first marathon at the age of 23 and in ultra-marathon in 2004, running all middle distances. Nowadays Paolo lives nearby the Colli Euganei regional park, a stunning open-air gym where he trains every day.

Paolo develops a particular interest for the world of Mountain Bike, which is a relevant part of his athletic career. All his bike adventures have been carried out alone, without technical assistance, representing this way world premieres. Paolo’s career stands out for the extraordinary character of his challenges that, in addition to being off the charts, contribute to sport medicine research, in both the fields of running and cycling.

We are trying to bring in best of the people possible from Italy so that Indians come to know more about the art and culture of Italy from the horses mouth,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chair for Indo Italian Film and Cultural Forum.

The visit of renowned film maker Demetrio Casile  from Italy is another feather in the cap of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry. Every visit of known artist adds to the strength of Indo Italian Film and Cultural Forum,” added Vijay Tiwari President of Indo European Chamber of Small and Medium Enterprises.

Dr Sandeep Marwah invited writer, Director Actor Demetrio Castile to be part of 15th Global Film Festival Noida 2022 to be held from 8th to 10th December. The Italian film maker will be showcasing his feature film Shocking Marriage during the festival.

Later a poster of Italian feature film Shocking Marriage was released in a small function by Sandeep Marwah and Demetrio Casile look around the facilities of Marwah Studios.

The visit to Milan has enhanced my knowledge on fashion,” said Sandeep Marwah also President of Marwah Studios while expressing to the press at Hotel Armani, Milan.

Milan is also regarded as one of the fashion capitals of the world, along with New York City, Paris, and London. Milan is synonymous with the Italian prêt-à-porter industry, as many of the most famous Italian fashion brands, such as Valentino, Gucci, Versace, Prada, Armani and Dolce & Gabbana, are headquartered in the city.

Numerous international fashion labels also operate shops in Milan. Furthermore, the city hosts the Milan Fashion Week twice a year, one of the most important events in the international fashion system.

Sandeep Marwah Guest at Stefano Ricci Headquarters

Florence: A warm welcome was extended to Dr. Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios by the two brothers Niccolo Ricci and Filippo Ricci at the head quarters of Stefano Ricci, a world renowned    fashion designers from Italy based at the most beautiful city of Florence.

Sandeep Marwah visited the international office and the manufacturing unit of Stefano Ricci on his invitation to Florence on his return journey to India from Cannes. Two of the best cities Milan and Florence were on the schedule of Sandeep Marwah.

“It was a great experience to see the manufacturing of one of the most expensive men’s wears  by Stefano Ricci team. 60 boutiques World wide, 500 people spread out in 9000 sqare metres head quarters It is grand show in designing,” said Sandeep Marwah also President of AAFT School of Fashion And Design.

“We are more than happy to receive Sandeep at Florence. We are aware of his fashion and design school at Noida. Very gracefully we are going to build our relations very strong,” said Nicolas Ricci.

Sandeep Marwah thanked    the Ricci family for great hospitality and for accepting two AAFT students on 3 months scholarship.
