Arpita Mehta Shared Her Experience With AAFT School of Fashion And Design

Mumbai: A special master class of renowned fashion designer Arpita Mehta was organized by AAFT University for the students of AAFT School of Fashion And Design during lockdown owing to Covid 19.

“I had great interest in fashion from very beginning. I have been actually adorning distinctive styles worn by my mother and my grandmother. In order to pursue my passion, I went on to achieve my degree in Apparel Manufacture and Dress Design from the prestigious SNDT University, Mumbai,” informed Arpita Mehta.

Designer Arpita Mehta charted her journey in the world of fashion in 2009, and has since become a new-age force to be reckoned with. The label’s minimalist yet fashion-forward fare brings about a seamless blend of ethnic and contemporary designs that enhances the feminine silhouette. Arpita Mehta's name has consequently become synonymous with her signature aesthetic of hand-embroidered mirror work ensembles in trendy cuts and eclectic colour palettes.

Arpita expressed her love for fashion and gave some wonderful tips to the young fashion designers. She also answered many questions by giving examples from her own life. Ritu Lal Director SOFD conducted the session.

Today, Arpita’s illustrious clientele include industrialists, fashion industry stalwarts and celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Katrina Kaif, Sonam Kapoor, Sonakshi Sinha, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Alia Bhatt, to name a few.

Florence: A warm welcome was extended to Dr. Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios by the two brothers Niccolo Ricci and Filippo Ricci at the head quarters of Stefano Ricci, a world renowned    fashion designers from Italy based at the most beautiful city of Florence.

Sandeep Marwah visited the international office and the manufacturing unit of Stefano Ricci on his invitation to Florence on his return journey to India from Cannes. Two of the best cities Milan and Florence were on the schedule of Sandeep Marwah.

“It was a great experience to see the manufacturing of one of the most expensive men’s wears  by Stefano Ricci team. 60 boutiques World wide, 500 people spread out in 9000 sqare metres head quarters It is grand show in designing,” said Sandeep Marwah also President of AAFT School of Fashion And Design.

“We are more than happy to receive Sandeep at Florence. We are aware of his fashion and design school at Noida. Very gracefully we are going to build our relations very strong,” said Nicolas Ricci.

Sandeep Marwah thanked    the Ricci family for great hospitality and for accepting two AAFT students on 3 months scholarship.

New Delhi: The well-known international fashion Designer Stefano Ricci visited   AAFT School of Fashion And Design at Noida   during his visit to New Delhi on the occasion of opening of his new showroom in Hotel Oberai.

“It was my desire to visit School of Fashion And Design in India and interact with the young and upcoming designer of this country. I am lucky that I could do that,” said Stefano Ricci on his visit to AAFT School of Fashion And Design in Noida.

“I am impressed by the schools activities and syllabus. I would like to announce two full time scholarships for two students-(male & female) to visit my centre at Florence in Italy and be with me for two months to learn the international designing setup,” added Stefano Ricci.

The presence of this great personality representing the top fraternity of   fashion and design is like dream come true. His blessings to this school will result into creation of some international stars from this school,” thanked Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Education Group.

New Delhi: It was a lucky day not only for the students of AAFT School of Fashion And Design but for every one who could listen to the great International designer Stefano Ricci at Marwah Studios.

“We are fortunate enough that an international celebrity Stefano Ricci accepted our invitation to be the guest of AAFT School of Fashion And Design and share his life time experience with the students of design,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Asian Education Group.

“I am pleased to be the guest of AAFT today, I grabbed the invitation extended to me by Sandeep Marwah as I am keen in knowing what all Indian fashion and design schools are like. I am amazed to know the kind of work students are dong here in AAFT campus,’ said Stefano Ricci congratulating students on their presentation.

“We are opening a new showroom of Stefano Ricci contribution to the fashion World at Oberoi Hotels. You all must visit to see the latest collection by the great designer,” added Jackie Manglani President India Stefano Ricci Brand.

“My job is to design the showroom and see to it that international setup is maintained in the show room. These shops have to be customer friendly,” said Michele De Vena Store Planning Director.

Present on the occasion the renowned Bollywood star and Director of Asian Education Group Mohit Marwah thanked all the dignities for their gracious presence.

“I am busy with the opening of the showroom and would love to visit AAFT School of Fashion and Design next time for sure,” said Niccolo Ricci Chief Executive Officer of Stefano Ricci.

There were lots of questions by the excited and charged student fashion designers, which were answered by Stefano Ricci. He announced two full time scholarships to the students of AAFT to learn fashion business at his centre at Florence, Italy.

Later Sandeep Marwah honored all the distinguished guests with the life membership of International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy of Film And Television as a mark of respect.
