Indo Korean Film and Cultural Forum Launches Korean Language Centre at AAFT

Noida, India – June 21, 2024 – The Indo Korean Film and Cultural Forum proudly inaugurated a Korean Language Centre at the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT), marking a significant step towards enhancing cultural and linguistic ties between India and South Korea. The launch event was graced by notable experts from South Korea, including Michelle, Danish, and the renowned actor Moon.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Indo Korean Film and Cultural Forum, welcomed the distinguished guests and highlighted the forum’s commitment to fostering cross-cultural understanding and collaboration. He emphasized the importance of learning new languages in today’s globalized world, stating, “The Korean Language Centre at AAFT is a testament to our dedication to broadening horizons and providing our students with the skills necessary to thrive in a multicultural environment.”

Michelle, one of the experts from South Korea, spoke about the increasing opportunities in Korea for those proficient in the Korean language. “There are numerous job prospects in South Korea for individuals who can speak Korean. This new language centre will equip students with the linguistic skills required to tap into these opportunities,” she said.

Danish, who played a pivotal role in initiating the project, expressed his enthusiasm about the collaboration. “The establishment of the Korean Language Centre is a dream come true. It will not only teach the language but also serve as a bridge connecting the cultures of India and South Korea,” he remarked.

Renowned actor Moon supported the initiative, sharing his views on the cultural benefits of learning a new language. “Understanding a language goes beyond mere communication. It is about embracing a new culture, understanding different perspectives, and fostering international friendships,” he stated.

The event was also supported by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), reflecting a unified effort to promote cultural exchange and educational excellence. The Korean Language Centre aims to offer comprehensive language courses that cater to various proficiency levels, from beginners to advanced learners.

Dr. Marwah concluded the event by reiterating the Indo Korean Film and Cultural Forum’s mission to enhance cultural ties and provide students with valuable learning opportunities. “The Korean Language Centre is a significant addition to AAFT’s diverse educational offerings. We are confident that this initiative will open new doors for our students and strengthen the bond between India and South Korea,” he said.

The launch of the Korean Language Centre at AAFT is expected to pave the way for further collaborative efforts in education and culture, fostering a deeper understanding and appreciation of Korean language and culture among Indian students.

AAFT Join Hand With Korean University


AAFT Signed MOU With Korean University


Noida: AAFT University a well known University of India based in Raipur Chhattisgarh State has  joined hands with a popular Korean  Kunjang University College based in Gunsan-si, Jeollabuk-do,  Korea.

“We both are keen in developing relation between the education system of two t countries. We will provide our expertize to each other and soon extend this MOU to students exchange program, faculty exchange program, radio programs, films exchange program etc.,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of the AAFT University

“This is our first contact with India and we are very keen in promoting our relation with India. Education is he best way to move forward,” said Dr. Kyosung Oh Director Office of International Affairs and Professor in Culture and Language Department of Korean University.

Dr Kyosung Oh took the round of the campus and also participated in the seminar designed on that day for the students of AAFT.

Needless to say Dr. Sandeep Marwah is also Chairing Indo South Korean Film And Cultural Forum and was in Korea only few days back as Guest of Honor in World Cultural Camp and World Education Leaders Forum.

New Delhi: The exhibition "100th Anniversary of the March 1st Independence Movement: One Shiny Day", commemorating the spirit of the March 1st Movement - pioneering display of anti-colonial sentiment against its coloniser Japan -  opened at the National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA) on August 14 and will continue till September 29

A follower of Mahatma Gandhi, Pyoung says, “The idea of exchange exhibitions came to my mind when I saw Dandi Yatra exhibition at NGMA. Korea and India have a similar history,”
Gyeyoung Lee of Daegu of Art Museum, Gyeyoung, has curated the exhibition. Talking about the show, Lee says, “The exhibition consists of three elements — Memory, Record and Commemoration. These artworks depict all kinds of struggles without any discrimination of class, caste, creed or religion.”
“Korean art is popular all over the World. The exhibition has brought deep relation between two countries on the surface. Many more events can be planned to highlight our relations,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University and Chair for Indo Korean Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI.

Director of Modern Art Gallery Sculptor Adwaita Gadanayak, Director of Lalit Kala Academy Uttam Pacharne, renowned Indian artists were part of the grand inauguration function.

Not only that Forum was introduced to the Koreans but to the foreign dignities present there at World Cultural Camp & World Education Leaders Forum. Dr. Marwah was appreciated for the efforts taken by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Arts, Films, Television, Media, Tourism, Hospitality, Fashion & Design and Education all are part and now part & parcel of culture. We have specialized them in ICMEI and then at AAFT University. We are open to every one who can join hands with us in bringing love, peace and unity through art and culture,” expressed Dr. Sandeep Marwah at different meetings during visit to South Korea.

Busan: The Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And Transport Cooperatives of India Limited Dr. Sandeep Marwah visited  Seoul and Busan in Korea to understand the fast rise in Korean Tourism.

“It is hard to believe that a country which was almost last in the list has risen so fast to an international standards and now been called the developed Nation,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah talking to the press at Hotel Premier Centum at Busan.

“The best part of the country and country men is that they are very patriotic and nation concerned. Not only they talk but every individual is involved in proving the same,” added Dr. Marwah.

A high time for all of us in India to get connected to  our works and be honest to our profession to attain success in the near future. There is a big potential in the country if countrymen love their country.

 Busan is South Korea's second most-populous city after Seoul, with a population of over 3.5 million inhabitants. It is the economic, cultural and educational center of southeastern Korea, with its port—Korea's busiest and the fifth busiest in the world.

Sandeep Marwah Joined World Education Leader’s Forum in Korea

Busan:  The largest Culture Camp of the World 2019,  for undergrads , kicked off on 7th July in the southern port city Busan, with an aim to offer character education and exposure to Korean culture attended by the Global Cultural Minister Dr. Sandeep Marwah from Republic of India.

“Inviting some 4,000 participants from about 60 countries, the annual event offers a wide variety of programs this year, including performances by distinguished musicians, lectures, visits to tourist attractions, and academic sessions,” informed Dr. Paster Ock Soo Park founder of International Youth Fellowship.

“A strong mindset capable of overcoming difficulties is formed by pushing one’s limits. By taking part in the IYF programs, students will become stronger and enjoy happiness. Students who have become strong and bright through the IYF will lead the world in the future”, said IYF Chairman Park Moon-taek.

In its 22nd edition, the World Culture Camp will remain active till July 18 at the Busan Exhibition and Convention Center and Haeundae Beach.
The program started with a concert by world-class Russian musicians and the Gracias Choir, which performed at the opening ceremony.

In addition, the seventh World Education Leaders Forum opened at Busan National University, attended by 100 representatives of universities chancellors, Vice Chancellors and Directors of the colleges from 30 countries. It will serve as a platform for participants to share their experience with character education and discuss new possibilities in the field.

“Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today. Education is one of the most powerful things in life. It allows us to find the meaning behind everything and helps improve lives  in a massive way,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah also Chancellor AAFT University.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah an international media personality and Chancellor of AAFT University will be representing India in this   education summit. Dr. Marwah has been five times World Record Holder in media and Chairing more than 100 different National and International organizations of films, television, media, art culture, tourism, environment, Skill Development and education.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah will share the dice with the heads of different states of Asian, African and European Countries.

“India is a very important country today and participation in these kind of International summits is not only essential but necessary. I hope I will be able to represent my country in most respectable manner,” said Dr. Marwah.
