Noida, India: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in association with the Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum and the Embassy of Vietnam in New Delhi, successfully organized a powerful Business Summit titled “Vietnam–India Collaboration on Cross-Border E-Commerce” at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

The summit brought together leading business houses represented by renowned industrialists, entrepreneurs, corporate leaders, exporters, importers, and distinguished professionals from diverse sectors. The event served as an important platform to strengthen economic cooperation and explore new avenues for trade and business partnerships between India and Vietnam.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chair of the Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum, emphasized the growing importance of bilateral trade and digital commerce in strengthening relations between the two nations. He stated that India and Vietnam share a strong bond of friendship and mutual respect, and initiatives such as this summit create valuable opportunities for businesses to collaborate, innovate, and expand into new markets.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Trade Counsellor, Trade Office, Embassy of Vietnam in India, highlighted the immense potential of cross-border e-commerce and encouraged Indian and Vietnamese enterprises to actively engage in trade partnerships. He elaborated on the opportunities available in Vietnam’s rapidly growing digital economy and reaffirmed the commitment of the Vietnamese Government to facilitating international business cooperation.

The summit received valuable support from the Vietnam Digital Economy Agency under the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Vietnam, further reinforcing the significance of the initiative in promoting digital trade and economic collaboration between the two countries.

The interactive sessions witnessed enthusiastic participation from the business community. A large number of delegates expressed keen interest in establishing trade relations, exploring joint ventures, and developing long-term business associations with Vietnamese companies.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chancellor of AAFT University, also Chair for the Indo-Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum, conveyed his heartiest congratulations to H.E. Nguyen Thanh Hai, Ambassador of Vietnam to India, and the people of Vietnam on this historic occasion.

Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum Shines at the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2025

Noida, India: The Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum, in collaboration with the Embassy of Vietnam in India, made a distinguished mark at the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week (GFDW) Noida 2025, the world’s largest fashion week ever held by an academic institution.

The event, organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) Fashion Committee, in association with AAFT School of Fashion and Design and AAFT School of Interior Designing, brought together a spectacular array of creative expressions. This year’s edition featured: 200 designers, 550 designer garments, 125 unique furniture pieces, 90 fashion rounds across 9 major shows, 6 exhibitions showcasing art, design, and innovation, 9 international culinary displays representing global flavors.

Additionally, the week included fashion film screenings, live broadcasts on MSTV and Radio Noida, and the participation of over 600 media houses from around the world.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum, expressed pride in the Forum’s active and creative participation. “The Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum has always stood as a cultural bridge between the people of India and Vietnam. Our contribution this year further strengthens our shared vision of artistic collaboration and mutual respect,” he stated.

This year’s featured collection, inspired by Vietnam’s serene water lilies and the timeless beauty of Dong Ho paintings, was a visual treat. The garments were a tribute to the Vietnamese philosophy of the “art of life,” skillfully blending tradition with haute couture. Highlights of the collection included: Ball gowns, elegant flowing trails, and tailored pants; Crafted from premium crepe, satin, and lycra; Embellished with intricate 3D floral embroidery in vibrant shades of white, red, pink, green, and brown.

Perfectly suited for international red carpets such as the Cannes Film Festival or the Met Gala, this line of fashion celebrated Vietnam’s cultural artistry, harmony with nature, and refined elegance.

The Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum, since its inception, has worked relentlessly to develop and promote people-to-people relations between India and Vietnam through film, fashion, and the arts.

New Delhi: Renowned film and media personality Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City and President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), was honored by senior Vietnamese officials for his unwavering contribution to fostering strong relations between India and Vietnam.

The recognition was bestowed by Do Quoc Hung, Deputy Director General of the Department of International Market Development, Government of Vietnam, and Bui Trung Thuong, Trade Counsellor at the Embassy of Vietnam. The award celebrates Dr. Marwah’s continuous efforts through the Indo-Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum, an initiative of ICMEI aimed at deepening cultural and creative collaborations between the two nations.

Vietnam-India Cross-Border E-Commerce Seminar Successfully Held at Marwah Studios

Noida, April 1, 2025 – The Trade Office of the Embassy of Vietnam, in collaboration with ICMEI- Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum of ICMEI – International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry   successfully organized a seminar on Vietnam–India Collaboration on Cross-Border E-Commerce at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The event was supported by the World Association of Small and Medium Enterprises (WASME) and GTTCI-Global Trade & Technology Council of India.

The seminar brought together prominent government officials, business leaders, and industry experts from both countries to discuss emerging opportunities and strengthen bilateral cooperation in digital trade.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder & Chairman of Marwah Studios, inaugurated the seminar. In his opening remarks, he emphasized the importance of Indo-Vietnamese ties and highlighted the crucial role of technology in enhancing cross-border commerce. Mr. Bui Trung Thuong, Trade Counsellor, Embassy of Vietnam, welcomed the guests and underscored the growing significance of e-commerce in building resilient trade partnerships between the two nations.

Key presentations and discussions included Opening Address by Mr. Do Quoc Hung, Deputy Director General, Department of International Market Development, MOIT (Vietnam), outlining Vietnam’s long-term trade vision. “India’s Role in Enhancing Digital Trade”, presented by Dr. Gaurav Gupta, Founder President, GTTCI, focusing on collaborative e-commerce initiatives.

Insights on SME Growth and Trade Facilitation by Dr. Sanjiv Layek, Executive Secretary, WASME. Vietnam’s E-Commerce Landscape & Potential, presented by Ms. Pham Thanh Huong, MOIT (Vietnam). Industry Perspectives from Mr. Shantanu Srivastava (MD & CEO, Ishan International Ltd.), Mr. Neeraj Singhal (President, Indian Industries Association), and other business leaders.

The event featured an engaging Q&A session addressing regulatory frameworks, technology adoption, and trade facilitation strategies. It concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Hoang Thi Yen from the Trade Office, Embassy of Vietnam, followed by a networking lunch.

Later Dr Sandeep Marwah presented Life Membership of International Film and Television Club of AAFT to Mr. Do Quoc Hung, Deputy Director General Department of International Market Development Vietnam.The seminar marked a significant step toward deepening economic collaboration between India and Vietnam through digital platforms and cross-border e-commerce.

Noida, India – The 17th Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN) brought the vibrant flavors of Vietnam to the forefront through a Food Festival organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) in association with the AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism and the International Film and Television Club (IFTC). Held at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida, the event celebrated Vietnam’s rich culinary traditions, offering attendees an immersive cultural experience.

The Food Festival, a key segment of the Global Film Festival, showcased authentic Vietnamese cuisines, bringing the essence of Vietnam’s food heritage to India. Renowned Vietnamese actor and director Mai Thu Huyen and acclaimed actor and producer Jacqueline Thao inaugurated the Vietnamese culinary display. Speaking on the occasion, they expressed their delight in representing Vietnam’s cultural identity through its cuisine.

Noida, India – The 17th Global Film Festival Noida (GFFN) marked a significant cultural milestone with the screening of the acclaimed Vietnamese film “A Fragile Flower.” The film was inaugurated at Marwah Film City by its leading lady and director, Mai Thu Huyen, from Vietnam, alongside the producer, Jacqueline Thao, from the USA.

“A Fragile Flower” has already garnered accolades at numerous international film festivals, and its screening at GFFN further celebrated its artistic and cultural significance. The MOU aims to foster collaboration and mutual understanding in promoting the rich art and culture of both nations.

The signing ceremony took place in New Delhi and was graced by a distinguished delegation of businessmen and officials from Vietnam, who extended their warm hospitality and invitation to ICMEI for this historic event. Noida: The Embassy of Vietnam in India, Sicily Media, and AAFT University recently collaborated to launch the poster of the World Day for Safety and Health at Work. The launch event, held at Marwah Studios campus, was attended by several dignitaries, including Bui Trung Thuong, Trade Counsellor of the Embassy of Vietnam, Dai Van Linh, Director of Sicily Media, Do Le Thang, a media person from Vietnam, and Sandeep Marwah, Chancellor of AAFT University.

During the event, Sandeep Marwah emphasized the importance of workplace safety and health, stressing the need for creating awareness about the same. He emphasized that safety should be the topmost priority in all workplaces, and employers must take necessary measures to ensure a safe and healthy work environment for their employees.

The collaboration between the Embassy of Vietnam in India, Sicily Media, and Marwah Studios towards promoting workplace safety and health was appreciated by Bui Trung Thuong and Dai Van Linh. They expressed their support for the cause and highlighted the close ties between India and Vietnam. ICMEI Signed MOU with Vietnam Media Organization

ICMEI and Media Company from Vietnam Signed MOU to Promote Animation

Noida: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Vietnam-based media organization Sicily Media have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) to promote the animation business in both countries. The MOU was signed in the presence of Bui Trung Thuong, Trade Counselor of the Embassy of Vietnam in India, and media expert Do Le Thang.

The signing ceremony, held at the ICMEI headquarters in New Delhi, saw the exchange of the agreement between Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, and Dai Van Linh, Director of Sicily Media. The MOU aims to enhance cooperation and collaboration between the two organizations in the field of animation and content creation.

The MOU also provides for the exchange of information, expertise, and best practices related to the animation industry, which will help promote mutual growth and development. The partnership is expected to create new opportunities for animators and content creators in both countries and provide a platform for collaboration and innovation.

Global Fashion Week Saw Extra ordinary Session by Vietnam


Fashion Show Presented By Embassy of Vietnam

Noida: It was final day of Global Fashion Week and participation was from all over the World. 54 countries were participating but  the main attraction was the  fashion show by Embassy of Vietnam.

Fifteen diplomats and their wives presented a grand show of Vietnam dresses from old and new designs and the show became the masterpiece of entertainment on the final day.

“I am amazed by the coordination and synchronization of all the diplomats on the ram show. They were as good as professional models. The series was well planned and everything including music, stepping and presentation was very well coordinated,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Global Fashion Week.

H.E. Pham Sanh Chau Ambassador of Vietnam to India and Patron to Indo Vietnam Cultural Forum recalled the long-standing history and cultural ties between Vietnam and India, including Buddhism and yoga. Renowned cine artist Mohit Marwah and Stylist Antara Motiwala Marwah were also present there.

Noida: IVFCF-Indo Vietnam Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry organized a powerful workshop and roadshow on the tourism of Vietnam recently at Marwah Studios.

“The Republic of India and the Socialistic Republic of Vietnam enjoy strong bilateral relations. Cultural and economic links between India and Vietnam date back to 2nd century. In contemporary era, relations between India and Vietnam have been governed by several areas of shared political interests,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and initiated the program.

Speaking at the event, H.E. Pham Sanh Chau Ambassador of Vietnam to India and Patron to Indo Vietnam Cultural Forum recalled the long-standing history and cultural ties between Vietnam and India, including Buddhism and yoga.

He highlighted that Indian airline IndiGo recently launched Kolkata - Hanoi direct air service and is preparing for the launch of New Delhi - Ho Chi Minh City route. Vietnam has also offered e-visas at border gates, thus simplifying procedures for Indian travellers to Vietnam.

Subhash Goyal, Chairman of the STIC Travel Group of Companies, lauded Vietnam as one of the world’s most beautiful countries and one of the top five emerging destinations with special cuisine and culture, vibrant business and hospitable people. He said the potential of tourism links between the two nations remains huge.

The event was co-organized by the Embassy of Vietnam in India, AAFT University and Aurantiaco an event management company. Nguyen Le Thanh Deputy Chief of the Mission, Pham Tri Dung First Secretary Economic Section, Ho Thi Van First Secretary Head of the information and media section and Pruthi Ranjan of Victoria tours were also present there.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah also Chair for Indo Vietnam Film And Cultural Forum honored the dignities with membership of the forum. Large number of travel agents, tour operators, travel and tourism schools and travel journalists attended the road show.
