Rotarian Dr. Sandeep Marwah Inaugurates Abahoni 2025 – Shilpi Sammelan & Heritage Utsav

New Delhi, 23rd August 2025: Rotarian Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, inaugurated the Handicraft Utsav as part of Abahoni 2025 – Shilpi Sammelan & Heritage Utsav by lighting the ceremonial lamp at Aparajita Mahila Samiti, Chittaranjan Park, New Delhi.

The festival, presented by Women’s Moksha, Subhash Roy & Associates, and DNA, under the leadership of Purnima Bhattacharyya, is being held from 16th to 30th August 2025. It celebrates two towering figures of Indian heritage—the 300th Birth Anniversary of Rajmata Ahilyabai Holkar and the 165th Birth Anniversary of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah highlighted the significance of festivals like Abahoni 2025 in preserving India’s rich culture and traditions. He emphasized the role of art, craft, and heritage in fostering national pride and in empowering artisans, weavers, and women across the country.

The vibrant festival is a true showcase of India’s cultural wealth, featuring handloom, handicrafts, textiles, cuisine, and heritage displays. With a strong focus on inclusive participation from rural communities, women, tribal groups, and youth, Abahoni 2025 highlights timeless handcrafted, eco-friendly, and biodegradable products that carry the legacy of sustainability and self-reliance. Coir-based and village-industry products reflecting indigenous knowledge and skills are also a major attraction.

Agamani Bhattacharyya, speaking on behalf of the organizers, shared: The purpose of this festival is to organize celebrations across the nation with special emphasis on tribal and rural segments, thereby creating an ambience for holistic development. Through such initiatives, we aim to promote the cause of art, artists, artisans, weavers, craftsmen, and women empowerment.”

The festival has been envisioned as a platform to strengthen cultural pride while simultaneously empowering local communities, keeping alive the ethos of Bharat’s glorious heritage.

Noida, India – May 31, 2025: The Indo Turkey Film and Cultural Forum, in association with the Embassy of Turkey in India, proudly marked its significant presence at the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week (GFDW) Noida 2025, hosted at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. This week-long celebration of fashion, art, and culture has been globally recognized as the largest fashion week ever organized by any academic institution, making it a historic milestone in the international fashion and design community.

Organized under the aegis of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) Fashion Committee, and supported by the AAFT School of Fashion and Design and AAFT School of Interior Designing, GFDW 2025 served as a grand confluence of talent, innovation, and global culture. The event witnessed the participation of 200 leading designers, showcased over 550 original designer garments, and featured 125 distinctive interior design pieces.

The festival was further elevated by 90 fashion rounds across 9 vibrant shows, 6 curated exhibitions, and 9 international culinary experiences, bringing together diverse global flavors. Additionally, the event included fashion film screenings, live broadcasting on MSTV and Radio Noida, and the powerful backing of over 600 media houses from around the world, reinforcing its global reach and impact.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Indo Turkey Film and Cultural Forum and President of the Festival, emphasized the importance of cultural exchange through creative expression. “As always, the Indo Turkey Film and Cultural Forum has played a dynamic role in this grand international platform. This year, we proudly presented a collection that captured the essence of Turkish history, architecture, and elegance,” said Dr. Marwah.

The centerpiece of the Forum’s presentation was “Kankali”, a haute couture collection inspired by the rich heritage and architectural beauty of Turkey. Drawing influence from the grandeur of Ottoman artistry and the vibrant soul of Istanbul’s streets, the collection featured flowing gowns crafted in luxurious net, satin, and organza. With a color palette dominated by soft blue tones, the garments embodied grace, romance, and the timeless spirit of Turkish design.

In addition to the fashion showcase, a unique piece of furniture inspired by traditional Turkish motifs and craftsmanship was also displayed, further emphasizing Turkey’s influence on global design aesthetics.

The showcased collection included: Flowing banana crepe pants, designed to mimic the elegance and motion of the dance; A palette of deep reds and blues, reflecting strength, resilience, and unity; Bold folkloric prints, echoing the rhythm and energy of the traditional Kolo movements.

This artistic line celebrated cultural storytelling, movement, and heritage, turning Serbia’s folk legacy into wearable expressions of pride and elegance. Additionally, the Forum also displayed a piece of furniture inspired by Serbian design traditions, garnering attention for its craftsmanship and cultural significance.

The participation of the Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum at GFDW 2025 stands as a testament to the growing creative and diplomatic collaboration between India and Serbia.

Noida, India: The Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum, in collaboration with the Embassy of Vietnam in India, made a distinguished mark at the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week (GFDW) Noida 2025, the world’s largest fashion week ever held by an academic institution.

The event, organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) Fashion Committee, in association with AAFT School of Fashion and Design and AAFT School of Interior Designing, brought together a spectacular array of creative expressions. This year’s edition featured: 200 designers, 550 designer garments, 125 unique furniture pieces, 90 fashion rounds across 9 major shows, 6 exhibitions showcasing art, design, and innovation, 9 international culinary displays representing global flavors.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum, expressed pride in the Forum’s active and creative participation. “The Indo Vietnam Film and Cultural Forum has always stood as a cultural bridge between the people of India and Vietnam. This year’s featured collection, inspired by Vietnam’s serene water lilies and the timeless beauty of Dong Ho paintings, was a visual treat. Highlights of the collection included: Ball gowns, elegant flowing trails, and tailored pants; Crafted from premium crepe, satin, and lycra; Embellished with intricate 3D floral embroidery in vibrant shades of white, red, pink, green, and brown.

Perfectly suited for international red carpets such as the Cannes Film Festival or the Met Gala, this line of fashion celebrated Vietnam’s cultural artistry, harmony with nature, and refined elegance.
