Dr. Sandeep Marwah Extends Congratulations to Serbia on National Day

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), on behalf of the media and entertainment industry and the art and culture fraternity of India, extends his heartiest congratulations to His Excellency Mr. Siniša Pavić, Ambassador of Serbia to India, and to the people of Serbia on the proud occasion of the National Day of Serbia, celebrated on 15th February.

Dr. Marwah expressed his deep appreciation for the strong and friendly relations shared between India and Serbia. He stated that Serbia has been a valued partner in many major international events organized by ICMEI, including film festivals, cultural programs, media conclaves, and academic exchanges.

“Serbia has consistently supported and participated in our significant international initiatives. We are proud of the growing cultural association between our two countries,” said Dr. Marwah.

He further highlighted the active role of the Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum under ICMEI in promoting cultural diplomacy and strengthening people-to-people connections through cinema, art exhibitions, seminars, and collaborative ventures.

New Delhi, August 2, 2025: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), had a fruitful discussion with Mr. Lazar Y. Vukadinović, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Republic of Serbia, to explore new avenues for strengthening the cultural partnership between India and Serbia.

The meeting focused on expanding the scope and outreach of the Indo-Serbia Film and Cultural Forum, an initiative established under the aegis of ICMEI to foster artistic exchange, joint film projects, academic collaborations, and people-to-people connections between the two nations.

Dr. Marwah shared recent developments and successes of the forum and emphasized the importance of cultural diplomacy in enhancing mutual understanding. He proposed increased participation in festivals, workshops, and media initiatives that would celebrate the shared heritage and cinematic talent of both countries.

Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum Collaborates for a Stunning Showcase at 9th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2025

Noida, India : The Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum, in collaboration with the Embassy of Serbia in India, proudly participated in the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week (GFDW) Noida 2025, held at Marwah Studios. The week-long celebration of art, fashion, and culture has officially been recognized as the largest fashion week ever hosted by any academic institution worldwide.

Organized by the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) Fashion Committee, in partnership with the AAFT School of Fashion and Design and the AAFT School of Interior Designing, this landmark event featured: 200 leading designers; 550 designer garments; 125 artistically crafted furniture pieces; 90 fashion rounds across 9 major shows; 6 curated exhibitions; 9 international culinary showcases

The event was further enriched by fashion film screenings, live broadcasting on MSTV and Radio Noida, and enjoyed the collaboration of over 600 global media houses.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chair of the Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum, expressed his enthusiasm: The Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum was established in collaboration with the Embassy of Serbia to strengthen the cultural bridge between our two great nations. As a major cultural contributor to the international event, the Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum presented a striking fashion collection inspired by the rich artistic traditions of Serbia, particularly the Kolo dance—a symbol of national unity and celebration.

The showcased collection included: Flowing banana crepe pants, designed to mimic the elegance and motion of the dance; A palette of deep reds and blues, reflecting strength, resilience, and unity; Bold folkloric prints, echoing the rhythm and energy of the traditional Kolo movements.

This artistic line celebrated cultural storytelling, movement, and heritage, turning Serbia’s folk legacy into wearable expressions of pride and elegance. Additionally, the Forum also displayed a piece of furniture inspired by Serbian design traditions, garnering attention for its craftsmanship and cultural significance.

The participation of the Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum at GFDW 2025 stands as a testament to the growing creative and diplomatic collaboration between India and Serbia.

NOIDA: Serbian filmmaker Gordan Kičić’s REALNA PRICA (Real Story) takes us through the saga of the actor, Veljko Radisavljevic, who has the impression that the entire universe has conspired against him. He is a walking problem and firmly believes that all the discord is created by the people around him, which is why he often gets into comic conflicts with friends, family, colleagues and even random passengers. Waiting for the big role that he believes will solve all his troubles, Veljko begins to lose his sense of real problems.

“Let me first thank the organisers for including the film from Serbia. I am also thankful to Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum for initiating this event. What an energetic audience, full of zest and enthusiasm. I am confident that all of you will like this Serbian film Realna Prica or Real Story,” said Ambassador Sinisia Pavic Charge d’ Affairs of Embassy of Serbia in India at  the screening of  film at 14th Global Film Festival Noida 2021 at Marwah Studios.

“This event has added a lot to the relation between India and Serbia. It has also made Indo Serbia Film and Cultural Forum much stronger,” added Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry expressing India’s relation with Serbia.

Many important people from the industry including Miss Asia Pacific and Alumna of AAFT Srishti Rana, Actor & Model Zeisha Nancy, Producer Rajiv Choudhary, Actor and writer Inaamulhaq actor and writer Aryan Singh along with professional filmmakers and media students saw and appreciated the film.

ICMEI Offered Scholarship in Arts to Serbia

Noida: As per the MOU Signed between ICMEI and Embassy of Serbia, Dr. Sandeep Marwah President International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry presented the scholarship of short-term course of one of the most prestigious institution AAFT-Asian Academy of Film And Television for a deserving student from Serbia other day.

Asian Academy of Film And Television ranks amongst the first ten best film schools of the World. The Scholarship includes the course fee, the production charges, boarding and lodging charges of the student for three months. The student can opt for any of the short term courses designed by AAFT related to films, television, and media.

“I am thankful to ICMEI, Marwah Studios and AAFT for the scholarship to a Serbian student. I am certain that this is a wonderful beginning for a strong and long relationship between two countries,” said H.E. Sinisa Pavic, Charge d’ Affairs, Embassy of Serbia in India.

“It takes time to develop and promote the relation between the two countries. We are trying right at the grass root level. There are many other events which we have lined up with Embassy of Serbia,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah also Chair for Indo Serbia Film And Cultural Forum while handing over the life membership of International Film And Television Club to the Ambassador. The meeting took place at Embassy of Serbia.

New Delhi: “Not very long ago we started Indo Serbia Film And Cultural Forum in association with Embassy of Serbia to develop and promote relation between the people of two countries. We have been successful in our aim and now ISFCF is doing tremendously well,” program introduced by Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Chair for Indo Serbia Film And Cultural Forum.

“This webinar is another feather in the cap of our relations. Serbia welcomes you to come forward to bring in new associations in education, film and television business, sports, art and culture segment besides tourism. The inflow to Serbia from India to work in Serbia has grown in last two years. I am thankful Dr. Sandeep Marwah for promoting Serbia in India and supporting the Embassy,” said Ambassador H.E. Sinisa Pavic Charge de’ Affairs Embassy of Serbia in India.

“The main Indian exports to Serbia include Pharmaceutical & chemical products, cotton yarn & textile, readymade garments & footwear, metals, iron & steel products, cooking oil, coffee, sesame seeds and plastic products etc. Now we can also promote creative industries together. We are here to guide you and  assist you. Soon there will be an another shooting of Bollywood commercial film in Serbia,” informed Ambassador Sinisa Pavic.

Large number of people from different strata of life attended the webinars. The session was followed by question answers. ICMEI presented a token of love and respect in the form of memento. New Delhi: “We extend our hearties thanks to the Ambassador H.E. Sinisa Pavic Charge d’ Affairs of Embassy of Republic of Serbia in India for accepting the Patronship of Indo Serbia Film And Cultural Forum today,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chair for Indo Serbia Film And Cultural Forum while presenting the certificate of patronship to the Ambassador.

“We are sure that we will be climbing the new heights under his supervision and guidance to develop and promote relation between two countries India and Serbia,” added DR. Marwah.

“I have always believed that two countries can grow their relationship through soft power and business can follow. India and Serbia are maintaining wonderful relationship. India’s relations with Serbia have traditionally been close and friendly since the days of the Socialist Federal Republic of Yugoslavia,” said Ambassador H.E. Sinisa Pavic Charge d’ Affairs of Serbia in India.

Since 1970’s New Belgrade  has two streets named after the leaders of India- Mahatma Gandhi and Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru  with the busts of the two leaders set in that place in 1990’s informed Sinisa Pavic.

New Delhi: The renowned media personality and President of Marwah Studios was presented with a memento by Ambassador H.E. Sinisa Pevic Charge d’ Affairs of Serbia to India in a small event at Embassy of Serbia for his sincere contribution to the development and promotion of Indo Serbia relations from last four years.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been the Chair of Indo Serbia Film And Cultural Forum created by Embassy of Serbia in association with International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry four years back with the support of H.E. Vladimir Maric then the Ambassador of Serbia to India.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah is the first Indian to be honoured doctorate by two different Serbian Institutions for his contribution to International Culture diplomacy and promotion of Roma internationally.

“We are happy to present this memento to Dr. Sandeep Marwah for his deep interest in Republic of Serbia and continuous efforts to promote business and culture between the people of two countries,” said Ambassador H.E. Sinisa Pevic.

“I am so thankful to the Ambassador for his wonderful gesture. It has given me new energy to work for Indo Serbian relations. We have already planned number of programs and events for the next one year and will move one by one systematically,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

ICMEI Congratulated Ambassador on the National Day of Serbia



New Delhi: “I on behalf of ICMEI and complete media & entertainment industry and art & culture fraternity extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Mr. Siniša Pavić, Ambassador – Charge d`Affaires a.i. of Serbia to India and people of Serbia on the auspicious day of  their National Day which falls on 15th February,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

15th February is a holiday and  celebrated in Serbia  to commemorate the outbreak of the First Serbian Uprising in 1804, which evolved into the Serbian Revolution  against Ottoman rule. The revolution ultimately resulted in the recognition of Serbia’s National by the Ottoman Empire (formally in 1817, de jure in 1830).

On the same day in 1835, during the rule of Milos Abrenovic, the first modernSerbian constitution  was adopted in Kragujevac, known as the Sretenje Constitution or Candlemas  Constitution.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah has wonderful relations with the two of the popular institutions of Serbia namely International Roma  Cultural University Belgrade and The Centre of Roma Studies and he has been honoured Doctorate from both the institutions informed Marwah.

New Delhi:  The President of ICMEI International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry Dr. Sandeep Marwah Presented a memento to pay his gratitude to the Ambassador of Serbia H.E. Vladimir Maric on the National Day of Serbia at Embassy of Serbia in New Delhi.

“We are proud of H. E. Vladimir Maric for his permanent support and involvement in building and maintaining relations with the World of films, television, art and culture. Under his patron ship we have been able to create and work uninterrupted under Indo Serbia Film And Cultural Forum,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

“I am more than satisfied with the response of Indo Serbia film And Cultural Forum. We have tried our best to make it a very vibrant organization. Dr. Sandeep Marwah’s efforts and passion for art an culture brought this organization to International level,” thanked H.E. Vladimir Maric.

 Dr. Sandeep Marwah probably is the only Indian to be honored with two Serbian Doctorates {Honoris Causa} during these four years of ISFCF formation.
