The event was held as part of the 10th Global Fashion and Design Week at Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida.

New Delhi: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and its President, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, extend their heartiest congratulations to His Excellency Mr. Ali Murat Ersoy, Ambassador of Turkey to India, and to the people of Turkey on the auspicious occasion of the National Day of Turkey, celebrated on 29th October.

Noida, India – May 31, 2025: The Indo Turkey Film and Cultural Forum, in association with the Embassy of Turkey in India, proudly marked its significant presence at the 9th Global Fashion and Design Week (GFDW) Noida 2025, hosted at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City. This week-long celebration of fashion, art, and culture has been globally recognized as the largest fashion week ever organized by any academic institution, making it a historic milestone in the international fashion and design community.

Organized under the aegis of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) Fashion Committee, and supported by the AAFT School of Fashion and Design and AAFT School of Interior Designing, GFDW 2025 served as a grand confluence of talent, innovation, and global culture. The event witnessed the participation of 200 leading designers, showcased over 550 original designer garments, and featured 125 distinctive interior design pieces.

The festival was further elevated by 90 fashion rounds across 9 vibrant shows, 6 curated exhibitions, and 9 international culinary experiences, bringing together diverse global flavors. Additionally, the event included fashion film screenings, live broadcasting on MSTV and Radio Noida, and the powerful backing of over 600 media houses from around the world, reinforcing its global reach and impact.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Indo Turkey Film and Cultural Forum and President of the Festival, emphasized the importance of cultural exchange through creative expression. “As always, the Indo Turkey Film and Cultural Forum has played a dynamic role in this grand international platform. This year, we proudly presented a collection that captured the essence of Turkish history, architecture, and elegance,” said Dr. Marwah.

The centerpiece of the Forum’s presentation was “Kankali”, a haute couture collection inspired by the rich heritage and architectural beauty of Turkey. Drawing influence from the grandeur of Ottoman artistry and the vibrant soul of Istanbul’s streets, the collection featured flowing gowns crafted in luxurious net, satin, and organza. With a color palette dominated by soft blue tones, the garments embodied grace, romance, and the timeless spirit of Turkish design.

Antalya(Turkey): Renowned film maker from India Sandeep Marwah and President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry was invited to visit the most popular museum of Antalya in Turkey. Where he was looking for shooting opportunities also.

The Antalya Museum or Antalya Archeological Museum is one of Turkey's largest museums, located in Konyaaltı, Antalya. It includes 13 exhibition halls and an open-air gallery. It covers an area of 75,000 sqft and 5000 works of art are exhibited.

 In addition a further 25,000–30,000 artifacts, which cannot be displayed are in storage. As a museum exhibiting examples of works, which illuminate the history of the Mediterranean and Pamphylia regions in Anatolia, Antalya Museum is one of the most important of Turkey's museums. The Museum won the “European Council Special Prize” in 1988.

"I am amazed to see the wax statues created out of the history and displayed even at different malls where they have mini museum to attract tourists,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Istanbul (Turkey): The Chief Scout for India Dr. Sandeep Marwah visited Istanbul in Turkey and learned about the Scouting and Guiding Federation of Turkey.

Scouting and Guiding Federation of Turkey is the national Scouting and Guiding federation of Turkey. It serves 33,974 Scouts (as of 2011) and 2,883 Guides (as of 2006). The federation is a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement since 1950, and the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts since 1987.

“There is an annual week called "The Scout - The Helper", which gives all members of the Scouting and Guiding Federation an opportunity to participate in community service projects, where they help for a week in hospitals, at the Red Crescent association, and in similar organizations. Scouts plant trees in villages in cooperation with the Ministry of Agriculture,” informed local scout from Istanbul.

It is great opportunity to know that Turkey has a well organized scouting system in their country. Scouts are here always ready for community projects,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Istanbul (Turkey): A total of 5.42 million foreign tourists visited Istanbul, Turkey’s cultural capital, in the first five months of 2019 Dr. Sandeep Marwah read the report presented to him during his visit to Istanbul in Turkey.

Foreign arrivals exhibited a sharp 11 percent increase on an annual basis in January-May, Tourism representative showed data from the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of Culture and Tourism and briefed the Managing Director of National Federation of Tourism And transport Cooperatives India Limited at Hotel Swissotel The Bosphorus, Istanbul

 “Istanbul is on course to meet its target of hosting 15 million tourists set for 2019,” said a statement from the Istanbul Governor’s Office.
“We offer world-class services with our hotels, bed capacity, and accommodation facilities. Our pricing policy is realistic,” Istanbul Governor Ali Yerlikaya said. He pointed out that the newly opened Istanbul Airport has strengthened the hub status of the city.
“We target to become one of the top three tourist destinations in the world. We will make that happen,” Officer from Tourism department added. Dr. Marwah came here to study the rising tourism of Istanbul in Turkey.
