Noida: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extends its heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Mr. Farid Mamundzay, the Ambassador of Afghanistan to India, and the resilient people of Afghanistan on the joyous occasion of Afghanistan’s Independence Day.

ICMEI Join Hands with C D Foundation to Promote Relations with Afghanistan

New Delhi: Series of programs have been designed to develop and promote   the relation between India and Afghanistan especially through art and culture. Today we are here to celebrate International Women’s Day and Holi together with important people from many other countries,” said Charu Das founder of C D Foundation in a well-organized event at Hotel Eros New Delhi.

“International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry has been friendly to all those organizations who all believe that love, peace, and unity can be brought to the World through art and Culture. Soft power is the best way to have friendship with any and every country. We are here to support the vision of our prime Minister to have best of the relations possible with every nation of the World,” expressed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI congratulating and explaining the importance of International Women’s Day and the most auspicious day of Holi.

“We are thankful to the organizers for high lighting India Afghanistan Relations. We are open to new ideas and interactions. Afghanistan has ample to offer in arts and culture. We cannot ignore the support we have been getting from India from last so many years. We can plan more events like this to bring awareness to people,” said H.E. Farid Mamundzay Ambassador of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to India addressing the gathering in the capacity of Chief Guest.

Wang Yuhua Minister Councilor, Embassy of China, Dr. Amarendra Khatua former Secretary Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and Dr. Maroof Khan also spoke on the occasion.

Xu Ning Cultural Attaché Embassy of China, Mohammad Javad Hosseini Researcher from Embassy of Iran, Anna Marat, Natalia Majcher, and Aneta Swiecicka from Polish Institute, Embassy of Poland, Charlotte Arnor Embassy of Sweden, Nelia Safronova Embassy of Ukraine, Steven Antonio Ramirez Cuellar Embassy of El Salvador along with many other people from business, art & culture fraternity were also present there.

New Delhi: “We all are here to develop and promote relations between India and Afghanistan. Many organizations are working in India in association with Afghanistan but very few have contributed extra ordinary to its growth and upliftment. ICMEI is one of them,” said Presenter from C D Foundation in a grand function organised by Charu Das to celebrate International Women’s Day and Holi together with Embassy of Afghanistan at Hotel Eros, Nehru Place, New Delhi.

The Memento was presented to Dr. Sandeep Marwah President International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry by H.E. Farid Mamundzay Ambassador of Embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to India. “I congratulate you for your continuous efforts to bring the people of two countries together through art and culture,” said Ambassador while handing over the award.

“I am always thankful to the Embassy for their cooperation and participation. The Indo Afghanistan Film and Cultural Forum has been able to create a wonderful position for itself,” thanked Dr. Marwah also Chair for Indo Afghanistan Film and Cultural Forum.

AAFTians Involved with International Day of Nowruz

AAFTians at Nowruz Organised by Embassy of Afghanistan


New Delhi: Nowruz, meaning “new day”, is an ancestral festivity marking the first day of spring and the renewal of nature. It includes rituals, ceremonies and cultural events, as well as the enjoyment of a special meal with loved ones. New clothes are worn, visits are made to family and friends, and gifts, especially for children, are exchanged.

“Celebrated for over 3000 years in the Balkans, the Black Sea Basin, the Caucasus, Central Asia, the Middle East and other regions, it promotes values of peace and solidarity between generations and within families as well as reconciliation and neighbourliness,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and AAFT appreciating the presentation of AAFTians in fashion show and musical performances on the occasion of celebration of Nowruz by Afghanistan Embassy at Srifort Auditorium.

As it contributes to cultural diversity and friendship among peoples and different communities, Nowruz fits closely with WPDRF- World Peace Development And Research Foundation mandate.

Nowruz was inscribed as an element in 2009, and extended in 2016, on the Representative List of the intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity  at the joint initiative of Afghanistan, Azerbaijan, India, Islamic Republic of Iran, Iraq, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Pakistan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.

 New Delhi: “I on behalf of ICMEI and complete media and entertainment industry of India extend my heartiest congratulations to Mr. Tahir Qadiry, Minister Plenipotentiary, the Chargé d’ Affaires of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Maldives and the people of Afghanistan on the occasion of National Day of Afghanistan which falls on 19th August,” expressed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

 

“We have been appreciated by the Government of Afghanistan for creating Indo Afghanistan Film And Cultural Forum and have conducted many events to bring awareness about India and Afghanistan’s historical, cordial and strong relations through art and Culture,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Women Delegation From Afghanistan at ICMEI


New Delhi: A working women delegation from Afghanistan visited Marwah Studios to built a better relation between the two countries through art and culture.

The delegation consisting of nine women under the leadership of Sajia Shojaei Film maker who discussed the further plans of promotion of art and culture under Indo Afghanistan Film And Cultural Forum.

We are very keen in building up healthy relations with Afghanistan. Number of times we have organized workshops and music concert by Ustad Eltaf Hussain Sarahang at AAFT. We have produced two of the short films, directed by Afghani producer. Recently an AAFT scholarship has been handed over to Embassy of Afghanistan for the deserving student,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI & Marwah Studios.

Dr. Marwah honored and presented membership of International Women’s Film Forum to all the members of the delegation.

AAFT Scholarship For The Student From Afghanistan

New Delhi: The Charged d’ Affaires of the Embassy of The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Tahir Qadiry invited Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry to the Embassy in New Delhi to discuss the activities of the chamber.

“It is my great pleasure to present a letter of confirmation for the AAFT Scholarship to the Charge d’ Affaires of Afghanistan in India for the deserving student from Afghanistan. We hope that this gesture will enhance our relations with   Afghanistan,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah also President of Marwah Studios.

“It is a beautiful beginning with ICMEI. We are keen in working together to promote art and culture,” added Tahir Qadiry accepting the letter of offer.

Charu Das of CD Foundation, Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of ICMEI and
Ahmad Shoaib Habibi Economic Counsellor of Embassy of Afghanistan was also present in the meeting. Sandeep Marwah invited Tahir Qadiry to Noida Film city to see for himself how chamber is working.
