8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024: A Spectacular Showcase of International Talent


Noida, India – The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024, under the visionary leadership of Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, has been hailed as one of the most impressive fashion events in India and the largest ever conducted at any fashion institution worldwide. The event was a grand celebration of creativity, culture, and couture, bringing together talent from across the globe in an unparalleled display of fashion and design excellence.

Over the course of three days, the event featured: 600 Dresses, 100 Designers, 72 Countries Participations, 90 Rounds, 9 Major Shows, 4 Exhibitions, 700 Participants including models, makeup artists, and backstage crews, 7 Coffee Table Books launched

Sandeep Marwah expressed his pride and excitement to a full house of attendees eagerly awaiting the commencement of the 7th show on the third day, stating, “Achieving such a monumental event with three months of preparation is no small feat, but the creativity and dedication displayed here make it all worthwhile.”

The inauguration ceremony was graced by prominent personalities including filmmaker and broadcaster Anoop Bose, Col. J.S Bindra, Hema Paul (Founder of Ehmiyat Foundation), Gaurav Arora (Co-Founder & Director of Market Craft), and Rekha Jha (Social Worker and Poet), who collectively lighted the ceremonial lamp, marking the official start of the event.

The talented designers of AAFT  presented a wide array of garments that beautifully encapsulated the cultural essence of various countries:

Lesotho: Garments by Vaishnavi Bharadwaj

Georgia: Cultural projections by Priyanka Bharti

Cyprus: Designs by Ishika Garg

Ukraine: Influences in the range by Pallavi Singh

Mauritius: Creations by Nishant and Sakshi Singh

Philippines: Designs by Anuradha

Afghanistan: Dresses by Bibi Saira Khan

Israel: Colorful attire by Kanan and Pranja

In addition to the stunning fashion displays, the event also saw the launch of two significant coffee table books designed by students of fashion communication at AAFT: “Jatin Malik Couture” by Muskan Jain, “Workers Fashion” by Neha Singh These books capture the essence of contemporary fashion and the dynamic creativity of young designers.

The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024 was indeed an international show, setting new benchmarks in the world of fashion and design education. The event not only highlighted the rich tapestry of global cultures but also demonstrated the immense potential and innovation of budding designers from AAFT. This spectacular convergence of art, culture, and fashion will undoubtedly leave an indelible mark on the fashion industry. Appreciation for 7th Global Fashion Week From Day One

Show First Day Inaugurated by Panama Ambassador at Marwah Studios

The 7th Global Fashion Week at Marwah Studios in Noida kicked off with a spectacular range of garments designed by young and talented designers of AAFT School of Fashion and Design. In the third session of the event’s first day, the audience witnessed a fantastic display of creativity and design inspired by the cultural diversity of countries such as Cambodia, Bulgaria, Guyana, Armenia, Panama, Brazil, Cuba, Afghanistan, and Cyprus.

Amol Singh, Sunita Kushwaha, Komal Kumari, Pavannish Singh, Kashish Arora, VarshaGupta, Ayush Gupta, Aleena Israil, Gagandeep, Gudia Kashyap, HimaniNegi, and Priti Chandan were the designers from AAFT School of Fashion and Design who showcased their exceptional skills and expertise in front of the international audience.

The event was graced by the presence of H.E. Yasiel A. Burillo R Ambassador of Panama, who was the chief guest of the occasion. Tina, CEO True Fashion, Designer Anushka, and Designer Rahul were also present as guests of honor. Anabella Chavez Presstan, the third secretary of the Embassy of Panama, along with Anuj Lalwani, Shilpi Bahadur, Mania Kaur, Pankaj Choudhary, Means Malhotra, Ranju Rai, Ayati, and many others appreciated the show and applauded the designers’ efforts.

Sandeep Marwah, the founder of Marwah Studios, emphasized the significance of fashion as a means of artistic expression and a reflection of cultural trends. He praised the young designers of AAFT School of Fashion and Design for their creativity and the beautiful range of garments they presented. Marwah highlighted the importance of fashion shows as a platform for showcasing the talent of emerging designers and for promoting cultural exchange.

The first day of the event was a massive success, and the audience is looking forward to more such innovative and creative presentations in the coming days. The show was conducted by Ritu Lal Director AAFT School of Fashion & Design, Dr Akriti Singh anchored the show and Dr. Manoj Agarwal Executive Director supervised the arrangements.

ICMEI will Promote India’s Relation with Oceanic Countries

New Delhi: We are already working with Fiji and Papua New Guinea in a big way at ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry. We are looking for now developing relations with rest of the Oceanic Countries through art and culture,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI in a Morning Coffee Show organized by associates CD Foundation at Hotel Eros.

“We are obliged and thankful to Dr. Marwah of ICMEI for guiding us in our new venture of Entrepreneurs Club and supporting us to create exclusive programs with different countries and associations, and this time with Oceanic Countries,” added Charu Das announcing award for Dr. Marwah for his sincere contribution towards developing international relations of India with rest of the World. The memento was presented by Dr. Amarendra Khatua former Secretary of External Affairs Government of India and Dr. Neeraj Sharma Honorary Consul General of The Republic of Palau.

H.E. David Pine High Commissioner of New Zealand to India, the former Deputy Minister from Afghanistan and Consulate General at Hyderabad Muhammad Suleman Kakar, Herve D Coulibaly head of the counsellor’s Affairs at Burkina Faso and members of the different Chamber of Commerce were witness to the creative program.

 New Delhi: “I on behalf of ICMEI and complete media and entertainment industry of India extend my heartiest congratulations to Mr. Tahir Qadiry, Minister Plenipotentiary, the Chargé d’ Affaires of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan to India, Nepal, Bhutan, and Maldives and the people of Afghanistan on the occasion of National Day of Afghanistan which falls on 19th August,” expressed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

 

“We have been appreciated by the Government of Afghanistan for creating Indo Afghanistan Film And Cultural Forum and have conducted many events to bring awareness about India and Afghanistan’s historical, cordial and strong relations through art and Culture,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Afghanistan Cultural Week Inaugurated at Marwah Studios


Noida: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with CD Foundation, Embassy of Islamic Republic of Afghanistan and Embassy of India in Afghanistan announced Afghani Food and Culture week in India. The grand launching to celebrate the 100 years of Independence of Afghanistan took place at Marwah Studios Film City Noida.

“We all are here to create a buff of India and Afghanistan friendship by starting this two week cultural programs in India so that people of India can relate themselves with Afghani culture,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. I congratulate H.E. Tahir Qadiry and the people of Afghanistan on this occasion,” added Marwah.

Seventeen member team comprising of fashion designers, film makers, journalists, dancers, musicians, painters etc. have started exhibiting their arts and products from Marwah Studios.

“I extend my heartiest congratulations and thanks to al the organizers and participants on this beautiful and auspicious occasion of celebration of 100 years of celebration of Independence of Afghanistan which falls on 23rd September,” said H.E. Tahir Qadiry while lighting the ceremonial lamp to launch the two week program at Marwah Studios.


“We are proud to be associated with 100 years celebration of Afghanistan Independence. The two week program will include food workshops, fashion shows, exhibitions, dance, music opening event, closing event  and grand finale at Afghanistan Embassy, All this will happen in Delhi, Noida and Chandigarh,” informed Charu Das of CD Foundation.

H.E. Tahir Qadiry honored and presented Chairmanship of Indo Afghanistan Cultural Forum to Dr. Sandeep Marwah and greeted every member of delegation from Afghanistan.


Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented Patronship of Indo Afghanistan Cultural Forum to H.E. Tahir Qadiry and membership of International Women’s Film Forum of Marwah Studios to all the women present from Afghanistan.

The event was followed by a colorful and vibrant fashion show designed by the AAFT School of Fashion and design displaying dresses of Afghanistan designers brought for this occasion. Director AAFT School of Fashion and Design Ritu Lal paid vote of thanks.

Foundation have presented Tahir Qadiry Charge d’ Affaires of Embassy of Afghanistan in India with the Patron ship of Indo Afghanistan Cultural Forum in a grand function to celebrate Afghanistan Food and cultural Week at Marwah Studios.

It is a great pleasure in presenting Patron Ship of IACF to H.E. Tahir Qadiry who understands so well the importance of soft power in developing relation between two countries,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chair for IAFC.

“I am pleased to accept this responsibility. I am eager to do a lot to have best of the relation between India and Afghanistan. “I would like to emphasize that India is one of the key countries for Afghanistan and a large part of the ‘regional connectivity’, which is also one of the main policies of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan as well as the vision of Afghan President”.   Said Tahir Qadiry.

 Tahir Qadiry was appointed by H.E. the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan as Minister Counsellor and assumed charge as Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of the I.R of Afghanistan on 18th June 2019.

Mr. Qadiry is an award-winning journalist who has vast experience of working in big and popular international media. He also served in various international governmental and non-governmental organizations within and outside Afghanistan. He has participated in many international conferences on Afghanistan.

Prior to his appointment in India, he served as Director General of Mitra Global TV network (Nationwide) from 2015 till May 2019.

Sandeep Marwah Nominated Chair For Indo Afghan Cultural Forum


Noida: Two week long Afghanistan cultural program was launched today here at Marwah Studios inaugurated by H.E. Tahir Qadiry Charge d’ Affaires of Afghanistan in India.

Seventeen-member delegation has arrived from Kabul consisting of fashion & jewelry designers, chefs, journalists, models, handicraft manufacturers, film makers and other officials. The event will cover fashion shows, film festival, food workshops, journalism workshops, exhibition etc.

Renowned film maker and Chancellor of AAFT University Sandeep Marwah was nominated as the Chair for newly formed Indo Afghanistan Cultural Forum by Charge d’ Affaires in a grand function appreciating his deep interest in Indo Afghanistan relations.

“I am pleased to nominate Sandeep Marwah as the Chair of Indo Afghanistan Cultural Forum. I know He has been involved with large number of cultural activities with Afghanistan even from long time. I am convinced that he is the correct source of energy to take things to new platform,” said H.E. Tahir Qadiry addressing the audience and national press.

“I am thankful to Government of Afghanistan for the trust they have showered on me. I have many plans to promote relation between the two countries,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios.

Women Delegation From Afghanistan at ICMEI


New Delhi: A working women delegation from Afghanistan visited Marwah Studios to built a better relation between the two countries through art and culture.

The delegation consisting of nine women under the leadership of Sajia Shojaei Film maker who discussed the further plans of promotion of art and culture under Indo Afghanistan Film And Cultural Forum.

We are very keen in building up healthy relations with Afghanistan. Number of times we have organized workshops and music concert by Ustad Eltaf Hussain Sarahang at AAFT. We have produced two of the short films, directed by Afghani producer. Recently an AAFT scholarship has been handed over to Embassy of Afghanistan for the deserving student,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI & Marwah Studios.

Dr. Marwah honored and presented membership of International Women’s Film Forum to all the members of the delegation.

AAFT Scholarship For The Student From Afghanistan

New Delhi: The Charged d’ Affaires of the Embassy of The Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Tahir Qadiry invited Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry to the Embassy in New Delhi to discuss the activities of the chamber.

“It is my great pleasure to present a letter of confirmation for the AAFT Scholarship to the Charge d’ Affaires of Afghanistan in India for the deserving student from Afghanistan. We hope that this gesture will enhance our relations with   Afghanistan,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah also President of Marwah Studios.

“It is a beautiful beginning with ICMEI. We are keen in working together to promote art and culture,” added Tahir Qadiry accepting the letter of offer.

Charu Das of CD Foundation, Ashok Tyagi Secretary General of ICMEI and
Ahmad Shoaib Habibi Economic Counsellor of Embassy of Afghanistan was also present in the meeting. Sandeep Marwah invited Tahir Qadiry to Noida Film city to see for himself how chamber is working.
