8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024: Third Show Captivates with Cultural Splendor

Noida: The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024 continued to dazzle audiences with its third show, celebrating the diverse cultural heritage of numerous countries. This event, hosted by Marwah Studios, has become a hallmark of international artistic and cultural exchange.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and the 8th GFWN, expressed his gratitude for the overwhelming international participation. “We are very fortunate to be associated with a large number of countries through their Embassies and High Commissions. A significant number of diplomats have recognized our efforts in showcasing their art and culture in India on a grand scale. These initiatives have fostered robust relations between these countries and India, enhancing business interactions and tourism,” he remarked.

The event was graced by esteemed dignitaries, including: Taku Hiroki, Senior Director of Research, JETRO, H.E. Choe Hui Chol, Ambassador, Embassy of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Dr. Leila Mostofi, Founder, Lillie Excellence Center from Iran, Rosa Dheyaa Milhim, Spouse of Deputy Head of the Mission, League of Arab States Mission

The highlight of the evening was a powerful range of garments inspired by global cultures, presented by talented designers from the AAFT School of Fashion and Design.

Nilisha: Garments influenced by Japanese culture, Leena, Ratna & Karisma: Creations inspired by the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Shivangi Tiwari, Priyanshi, Laavanya, Mitali: Designs reflecting the essence of Ireland, Sakshi Tuteja, Shristi Sanskriti: Garments showcasing the vibrant culture of Ghana, Kukum Maurya: Clothing inspired by Cambodian traditions, Nikita: Garments representing the diverse culture of India, and Vani Garg: Designs influenced by Cuban culture.

In addition to the fashion showcase, the event also saw the release of a captivating coffee table book titled ‘Serene’, designed by Pooja Gupta, a student of Fashion Communication at AAFT. This book beautifully encapsulates the tranquility and elegance of global fashion.

The 8th Global Fashion and Design Week Noida 2024 continues to set a benchmark in fostering international cultural ties and promoting artistic excellence. The event’s success underscores the power of fashion as a universal language that transcends borders and unites diverse cultures.

The event was supported by Indo Iran Film and Cultural Forum, Indo Ghana, Indo Cuba, Indo Cambodia, Indo DPR Korea, Indo Japan and Indo Ireland Film and Cultural Forum of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry.

Appreciation for 7th Global Fashion Week From Day One

Show First Day Inaugurated by Panama Ambassador at Marwah Studios

The 7th Global Fashion Week at Marwah Studios in Noida kicked off with a spectacular range of garments designed by young and talented designers of AAFT School of Fashion and Design. In the third session of the event’s first day, the audience witnessed a fantastic display of creativity and design inspired by the cultural diversity of countries such as Cambodia, Bulgaria, Guyana, Armenia, Panama, Brazil, Cuba, Afghanistan, and Cyprus.

Amol Singh, Sunita Kushwaha, Komal Kumari, Pavannish Singh, Kashish Arora, VarshaGupta, Ayush Gupta, Aleena Israil, Gagandeep, Gudia Kashyap, HimaniNegi, and Priti Chandan were the designers from AAFT School of Fashion and Design who showcased their exceptional skills and expertise in front of the international audience.

The event was graced by the presence of H.E. Yasiel A. Burillo R Ambassador of Panama, who was the chief guest of the occasion. Tina, CEO True Fashion, Designer Anushka, and Designer Rahul were also present as guests of honor. Anabella Chavez Presstan, the third secretary of the Embassy of Panama, along with Anuj Lalwani, Shilpi Bahadur, Mania Kaur, Pankaj Choudhary, Means Malhotra, Ranju Rai, Ayati, and many others appreciated the show and applauded the designers’ efforts.

Sandeep Marwah, the founder of Marwah Studios, emphasized the significance of fashion as a means of artistic expression and a reflection of cultural trends. He praised the young designers of AAFT School of Fashion and Design for their creativity and the beautiful range of garments they presented. Marwah highlighted the importance of fashion shows as a platform for showcasing the talent of emerging designers and for promoting cultural exchange.

The first day of the event was a massive success, and the audience is looking forward to more such innovative and creative presentations in the coming days. The show was conducted by Ritu Lal Director AAFT School of Fashion & Design, Dr Akriti Singh anchored the show and Dr. Manoj Agarwal Executive Director supervised the arrangements.
