Belgium’s Renowned Writer, Actor & Presenter Kapil Kumar Visits Marwah Studios

Noida, India: Marwah Studios, the creative epicentre of Noida Film City, warmly welcomed Kapil Kumar, celebrated writer, actor and presenter from Belgium, during his special visit to India. The visit highlighted growing cultural and creative exchanges between India and Belgium.

Kapil Kumar toured the iconic studios and interacted with the media and students. His visit was extensively covered by Radio Noida and MS TV, capturing his insights and experiences.

Speaking on the occasion, Kapil Kumar expressed his admiration for the vibrant creative environment at Marwah Studios. He said: “Marwah Studios is a powerhouse of talent and innovation. I am truly impressed by its global vision and the remarkable contribution it continues to make to world cinema and media education.”

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Indo–Belgium Film and Cultural Forum, warmly welcomed the Belgian artist. As a gesture of appreciation and to mark this meaningful interaction, Dr. Sandeep Marwah presented Kapil Kumar with the Life Membership of the International Film and Television Club of Marwah Studios.

New Delhi, 21st July 2025: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extends its heartfelt congratulations to His Excellency Didier Vanderhasselt, Ambassador of Belgium to India, and the people of Belgium on the joyous occasion of their National Day, celebrated every year on 21st July.

Addressing the media, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI and Chair of the Indo-Belgium Film and Cultural Forum, shared his deep admiration for the vibrant cultural ties between the two nations. “Belgium has always been close to our hearts. I have personally visited Belgium on multiple occasions to strengthen cultural and artistic collaboration. I had the honour of serving as Guest of Honour and International Jury at the prestigious Mons International Film Festival, where I was also felicitated for my contributions,” he stated.

The Indo-Belgium Film and Cultural Forum, under the aegis of ICMEI, has been instrumental in fostering enduring partnerships through various initiatives. These include: Scholarships for deserving students from Belgium, Special radio and television programs promoting Indo-Belgian cooperation, Tourism Road Shows to highlight Belgian travel and heritage, Culinary Festivals featuring authentic Belgian cuisine, Film festivals showcasing cinema from Belgium.

Belgium has also consistently participated as a valued partner in ICMEI’s flagship global events such as the Global Film Festival, Global Fashion Week, Global Literary Festival, and the Global Festival of Journalism.

Dr. Marwah emphasized, “Art and culture continue to be powerful tools for diplomacy and friendship. We look forward to further deepening our collaboration with Belgium in the years to come.”

New Delhi, July 21, 2024 – The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), along with the entire art and culture fraternity of India, extends heartfelt congratulations to H.E. Didier Vanderhasselt, Ambassador of Belgium to India, on the occasion of Belgium’s National Day, celebrated on July 21st.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of ICMEI, expressed his warm wishes and highlighted the strong bond between India and Belgium. “We are delighted to associate with the country of Belgium. My various trips to Belgium have significantly enhanced our collaborations and associations with Belgian counterparts. The Indo-Belgium Film and Cultural Forum is a key initiative that needs further encouragement to plan more activities and strengthen our cultural ties,” stated Dr. Marwah.

Dr. Marwah emphasized the importance of art and culture in elevating the relationship between India and Belgium to new heights. “India and Belgium share a wonderful relationship. It can be raised to a higher level through art and culture, which is what we firmly believe in,” he added.

The celebration of Belgium’s National Day marks an important occasion to honor the strong bilateral relations and the collaborative efforts between the two nations in the fields of media, entertainment, and cultural exchange.

National Day of Belgium Celebrated at ICMEI

New Delhi: “I on behalf of ICMEI and Indian Media And Entertainment Industry extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E. Francois Delhaye Ambassador of Belgium to India and the people of Belgium on the National Day of Kingdom of Belgium which falls on 21^st July,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

“We have extra ordinary relations with the Kingdom of Belgium and we wish to promote to a new level through trade, business, art and culture,” Marwah added also chair for Indo Belgium Film And Cultural Forum.

Dr. Marwah recollected from memory of his first visit to Belgium in 1980 when he sailed English Channel and reach at Belgium port at Oostende from Dover UK from where he took the train to Brussels the capital of Belgium.

The second visit was in 1983 to Brussels again and then next when he was invited as the international jury and honored with award at 26^th Mons International Film Festival in 2010.

 Jos De Clercq of Trade and Investments (Flanders) and First Secretary Embassy of Belgium in India came and revived the relations in 2013. Then it was the visit of H.E. Pierre Vaesen Ambassador of Belgium to India on the inauguration of 10th Batch of Asian School of Media Studios at Marwah Studios.

Later Antoine Delcourt Counsellor Economic Affairs, Christophe Van Overstraeten First Secretary Trade & Investment, Jos De Clercq First Secretary Trade & Investment Flanders and Abel Garamhegyi Vice President of Barco Electronic Systems were also visited and honoured with the life membership of International Film And Television Club at AAFT.

It was the visit of H.E. Jan Luylk Ambassador of Belgium to India who encouraged us a lot in 2015 when Indo Belgium Film And Cultural Forum was announced in ICMEI.  It was nice to receive the super Model Anna Kapiteijn of Belgium during our first Global Fashion Week in Noida in 2016.

Dr. Deepak Narwal European Economic Senate was  at Marwah Studios to Celebrate National Day of Belgium on 21^st July 2018. An acrobatic Dance Art Fusion called Sacred Place by Belgium artists Ben de Keyser, Bran De Beul, Grete Moortgat, Yesse De Veyser and Naemic Schellens at Marwah Studios during Delhi Art Festival 2019 was remarkable.

The senate to the European Union Dr. Deepak Narwal was present there from Brussels where they have their office. “ I am pleased to be part of this beautiful event where a Chamber is celebrating a National Day of Belgium. This sounds    that both countries have very close relations and     it has a lot to do with Marwah Studios,” said Deepal Narwal appreciating the gesture of poster launching.
