Dr. Sandeep Marwah Honoured by Hi Fi Global Awards, Nepal for Strengthening India-Nepal Relations

Noida, India: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios, and President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), was honoured by Priya Magarrati, Founder of Hi Fi Global Awards, Nepal, in recognition of his outstanding contribution to promoting and strengthening relations between India and Nepal.

Dr. Marwah serves as the Chair of the Indo Nepal Film and Cultural Forum, a position to which he was nominated by the then Hon’ble Prime Minister of Nepal, Shri Khadga Prasad Sharma Oli. Through this forum and various international initiatives, Dr. Marwah has consistently worked towards enhancing cultural, educational, media, and people-to-people exchanges between the two neighbouring nations.

Receiving the honour, Dr. Marwah expressed his gratitude and reiterated his commitment to further strengthening the bonds of friendship and cooperation between India and Nepal. He emphasized that cultural diplomacy remains one of the most effective tools for fostering mutual understanding and long-lasting relationships.

Under the leadership of Dr. Marwah, ICMEI has organized a large number of events and activities dedicated to building stronger ties between India and Nepal. Nepal has been an active partner in many prestigious international events hosted by ICMEI and Marwah Studios, including the Global Film Festival, Global Fashion Week, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Literary Festival, International Documentary Film Festival, and several other cultural and educational programs.

Speaking on the occasion, Priya Magarrati appreciated the remarkable efforts of Dr. Marwah in bringing the people of India and Nepal closer through art, culture, media, cinema, and education. The festival, held from April 11 to 13, was jointly organized by the Everest Chamber of Commerce and Industries and the Embassy of Nepal, transforming Barakhamba Road into a lively hub of Nepalese culture, business, and tourism.

Journalist Delegation from Nepal Visits Marwah Studios

Noida: A distinguished delegation of senior journalists from Nepal visited Marwah Studios as part of the ongoing efforts by the Indo-Nepal Film and Cultural Forum (INFCF) to strengthen relations between India and Nepal. The visit was organized at the invitation of Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) and Chair of the Indo-Nepal Film and Cultural Forum.

The delegation interacted with members of ICMEI and students from the AAFT School of Journalism.
The event also featured a special address by Vipin Gaur, Secretary General of the Newspapers Association of India (NAI), who spoke about the current landscape of Indian journalism. Haripriya Thakur Banga Director Events at Marwah Studios hosted the event.

A key highlight of the visit was a special program recorded at Radio Noida 107.4FM, where the journalists shared their experiences and insights on the media industry. Kathmandu: This tiny landlocked country sandwiched between the two most populated countries in the world, India, and China. Although some know it as the home to the world’s tallest mountain Mount Everest and other giant Himalayan mountains.,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT School of Hospitality and Tourism while talking to the press at Dwarika 's Hotel at Kathmandu.

“To me, Nepal is wondrous. It is full of ancient stories and beautiful temples, not to mention the world’s most magnificent mountain range. You feel like coming back again,” added Dr. Marwah who was visiting Nepal with a group of twenty five people from different segments of life supported by Tourism Committee of International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry.

In a span of few days the group visited Hotel Marriot, Hotel Taj Vivanta, Hotel Dwarika and Hotel Chandragiri Hills Resort. The cable tour to Chandragiri Hills, Pushapati Temple, Budhanilkantha Temple, Boudhanath and various markets of the city.

Sandeep Marwah has been invited by mny industrial houses and government bodies to visit again. Indo Nepal Film and Cultural Forum will plan again a trip to Nepal. Even the students of AAFT School of Hospitality & Tourism will make a short trip soon.

Kathmandu: Renowned film, television and media personality Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Founder of Noida Film City, was invited by the film fraternity of Nepal to be on the board of Film City Nepal, on his recent visit to Kathmandu.

“We hereby invite you to be a part of our film city. We have been trying to establish film business for a long time, we need an experienced person like Sandeep Marwah who can guide us and make film city Nepal a viable project,” said Madan Dass Shrestha senior Artist and promoter of Nepal Film City after a long discussion with Sandeep Marwah at Hotel Marriot.

“We are open to discussion. The Indo Nepal Film and Cultural Forum has already initiated to propagate the interest of Indian Film Makers in Nepal. Film Federation of India can also play a role where I am also the member of Executive Council. We will promote Nepali Cinema in India through film festival in early next year,” said Sandeep Marwah while showing deep interest in many other events for the promotion of India Nepal relations.

Kathmandu: A delegation of twenty-five people visited Kathmandu to promote relation between India and Nepal through tourism. Delegates from different strata of life including Jewelers, fashion Designer, Business Consultants, Film makers and Educationists were the part of the team.

We are very happy to be here in Kathmandu after many years. We could see the growth of the city. We have always believed that interaction can bring people together and can lead to generation of business too,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios & Chair of Indo Nepal Film and Cultural Forum while talking to the press at Hotel Marriott Manakamana, Nepal.

We had the wonderful opportunity to discuss Indo Nepal Relations with Sujata Koirala the former Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister of Nepal. We are sure we will be able to generate more energy to this organization through different activities,” added Dr. Marwah.

New Delhi: A seminar, to develop and promote relation between the two countries India and Nepal, was organized at PHD Chamber of Commerce in association with Indo Nepal Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI.

We are here to welcome H.E. Nilambar Acharya, the new Nepal Ambassador to India and express our concern towards Nepal in different fields. Nepal Forum has recently been created in PHD,” said Ambassador K. V Rajan conducting the program.

“I am thrilled by the presence of two forums who have deep interest in Nepal. It has motivated me to go out of way to promote our relation now in many new fields. We can touch those departments also where we have nor started yet,” said H.E. Nilambar Acharya Ambassador of Nepal to India thanking     the large participation of delegates.

“We are lucky that Indo Nepal Films And Cultural Forum was suggested and inaugurated by the Prime Minister of Nepal H.E. K.P. Sharma Oli way back in 2016,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chair ICMEI and PHD Culture Committee.

The Prime Minister of Nepal also nominated Sandeep Marwah as the Chair for INFCF. It all started when Raj Kishor Yadav, Minister of Information and Communications, Government of Nepal invited Marwah in 2012, it continued with Krishna Prasad Dhakal Deputy Chief of Nepal to India.

Then, Nepal participated in all the 17 international conferences organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in last 5 years. The participation of H.E. Deep Kumar Upadhayay Ambassador of Nepal to India  along with the presence of most famous actors Sunil Thapa and Karishma Manandhar at Marwah Studios at  the First Film Festival of Nepali Films in India was well appreciated, informed Sandeep Marwah.

Later, Sandeep Marwah honored the Ambassador with memento. Anil Khaitan Past President PHDCCI presided over the function. Bharat Kumar Regmi Deputy Chief of the Mission, Krishna Hari Pukar Minister Economics, Dev Doot Dhakal Third Secretary were also present there.
