New Delhi: In a moment of immense pride for the Indian fashion and creative industries, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios, and AAFT University, was grandly felicitated by the Fashion & Apparel fraternity on his nomination as the Brand Ambassador of the “BRICS+ Fashion & Lifestyle Summit.”

The prestigious ceremony was organized with the support of BSL – Brands & Sourcing Leaders Association at Hotel Jaypee Vasant Continental, New Delhi, in the presence of eminent leaders from the apparel and fashion industry.

The “BRICS+ Fashion & Lifestyle Summit” aims to strengthen international collaboration among BRICS+ nations by promoting innovation, sustainability, trade partnerships, and cultural exchange within the global fashion and lifestyle ecosys


Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Subhash Goyal, senior industry leader, lauded Dr. Marwah’s extraordinary contribution to media, education, and cultural diplomacy. He stated that Dr. Marwah’s global outreach and visionary leadership would add tremendous value to the summit, creating stronger bridges between fashion, media, and international trade platforms.

Mr. Raman Dutta of BSL – Brands & Sourcing Leaders Association emphasized that Dr. Marwah’s nomination reflects the growing convergence of fashion, cinema, media, and creative industries. He highlighted that the Summit would benefit immensely from Dr. Marwah’s experience in promoting Indian talent across 145 countries through educational and cultural initiatives.

Addressing the august gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, who is also the President of AAFT School of Fashion and Design, expressed his gratitude to the Fashion & Apparel fraternity for the honour.

He said, “Fashion is not merely apparel; it is culture, identity, creativity, and economic strength. The BRICS+ Fashion & Lifestyle Summit will serve as a powerful platform to integrate creativity with commerce and strengthen India’s leadership in the global fashion landscape.”

He further emphasized the importance of skill development, innovation, and sustainable practices in fashion education, reaffirming AAFT’s commitment to nurturing world-class designers and creative entrepreneurs.

A large number of distinguished dignitaries from the Apparel Industry, designers, exporters, sourcing leaders, educationists, and business heads were present to witness what many described as a historic and transformative moment for India’s fashion and lifestyle sector.

The felicitation of Dr. Sandeep Marwah marks yet another milestone in his illustrious journey of promoting Indian creativity on the global stage and reinforces India’s growing influence within the BRICS+ creative and fashion ecosystem.

Indo South Africa Cultural Association Moves Further


International Refugee Day Observed at ICMEI


Noida: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry invited Officers from High Commissioner of South Africa to discuss further as to what more can be added to the current affairs of the forum.

Indo South Africa Cultural Association was proposed and inaugurated by then the special guest of President of India and visiting State Guest from South Africa Her Excellency Elizabeth Thabethe Deputy Minister for Trade And Industry, Government of South Africa, way back in 2013 informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Sandeep Marwah added that he was honored by Muhammed Bilaal Ismail Leader of the delegation and Coordinator for Y20- South African Youth for International Diplomacy during Bricks Summit at New Delhi accompanied with Dr. Musawenkosi Donia Saurombe of North West University and Samantha Beynon.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah was also the special invitee at the first IBSA Gandhi Mandela Memorial Freedom Lecture by H.E. Mr. Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa President of the Republic of South Africa in the presence of Shri Narendra Modi Prime Minister of India at Hotel Leela on 25th Jan 2019.

“It is great to know the existence of such a powerful forum of Indo South African
Association based in India. We will plan more activities under this forum to promote and develop our relations with each other,” said Mabet Van Rensburg Counsellor- Political High Commission of South Africa in New Delhi.

“We have wonderful relations and they can be enhanced through this active forum,” added Zipho Mgadle First Secretary Political South African High Commission. A poster to give respect to the Refugee Day marked by United Nation was released by the guests.

New Delhi: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with AAFT University of Media And Arts and CD Foundation organized a public interaction with the High Commission of South Africa at Hotel Lalit in a Cricket World Cup environment.

H.E. Ben Joubert, Deputy High Commissioner of South Africa to India was the chief guest who spoke about the prospects of business and tourism in  South Africa from Indian point of view. “ I am here to promote business and relation between the two countries. Such interactions reach fast to the people of India. I invite you all to visit my country and see for yourself the beauty of South Africa,” said H.E. Ben Joubert.

“We are supporting both the governments of South Africa and India in fulfilling te mission of bring love. Peace and unity through art and culture under Indo South Africa Film And Cultural Forum. We are looking for more interactions like this,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI.

 The first IBSA Gandhi Mandela Memorial Freedom Lecture was organized by H.E. Mr. Matamela Cyril Ramaphosa President of the Republic of South Africa in the presence of Shri Narendra Modi Prime Minister of India at Hotel Leela.

Mahatma Gandhi and anti-apartheid revolutionary Nelson Mandela wanted to see a world where there was tolerance for each other's religion, race, caste and regional affiliation, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said .

Speaking at the first IBSA (India, Brazil, South Africa) Gandhi-Mandela Memorial Freedom Lecture, Ramaphosa recalled Gandhi's famous words, "Be the change you want to see in the world". 

"But what was the change Gandhi and Mandela wanted to see. They wanted to see elimination of poverty and a world where nations respect one another and multilateralism was upheld and respected and there was tolerance for each other's religion, race, caste and regional affiliation," he said.

He said South Africa is looking forward to build its relations with India. "We are two countries separated by ocean but bound together by the collective energies of our people. The legacies of Gandhi and Mandela have never been more important than they are today. We have a collective role in addressing global economy which is facing a number of challenges right now," he said.

“I am very happy on the visit of H.E. Ramaphosa, it has added a lot to India and South Africa relations. Indo South African Film And Cultural Forum was formed earlier by the special guest of President of India and visiting State Guest from South Africa Her Excellency Elizabeth Thabethe Deputy Minister for Trade And Industry, Government of South Africa, way back in 2013,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chairman to the association.

“It was also a wonderful opportunity to meet my Prime Minister Narendra Modi who has always believed in best of the relations between India and rest of the countries of the World,” added Marwah. The event was attended by who’s who of Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India and Government of South Africa.

Honorable Ministers and Deputy Ministers of the Indian and South African delegations, President of the Indian Council of World Affairs, Dr TCA Raghavan, Ambassador of Brazil in the Republic of India, High Commissioner Kamboj, High Commissioner of the Republic of India to the Republic of South Africa, The Charge d’ Affaires of the Republic of South Africa to the Republic of India and Members of the Diplomatic Corps were present there.
