Chief Scout For India Sandeep Marwah


New Delhi: “My heartiest congratulations to all the children of my country on this auspicious day of Birthday of our first Prime Minister of India Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru which has also been declared as the Children’s Day,” announced Dr. Sandeep Marwah Chief Scout For India addressing the young students of Asian Education Group.

Scouting was officially founded in British India in 1909, first starting at the Bishop Cotton Boys' School in Bangalore. Justice Vivian Bose, Pandit Madan Mohan Malaviya, Pandit Hridayanath Kunzru, Girija Shankar Bajpai, Annie Besant and George Arundale started scouting for native Indians, in 1913. Prior to this date, Scouting was open only for British and foreign Scouts. In 1916, a Cub section was started, followed by the Rover section in 1918.

“I will request all the institutions in the country to start Scouts and Guides organization in their setup so that students and members can be developed emotionally, socially, mentally, intellectually, physically and spiritually and they can make a positive contribution to their communities and the wider world,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Jawaharlal Nehru Remembered On Death Anniversary At Film City




All the members of (JNF) Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Forum of Marwah Studios gathered at Noida Film City to remember the first Prime Minister late Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru and to pay homage to the great international leader on his 47th death anniversary.

"Nehru was the architect of modern India. He nurtured the institutions in India on the path of democracy; he encouraged panchayat raj Institutions created Planning Commission, National Science Laboratories and laid the foundation of a vast public and private sector for developing infrastructure for industrial growth. Nehru planned many programs to promote education in India” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chairperson of JNF.

A special debate program was planned by Asian Education Group where the students of AAFT, ASMS and ABS participated. The event was supported by International Public Broadcasting Forum, International Children’s Film Forum, International Film And Television Research centre and Radio Noida 107.4FM. The program was well attended by many media persons and conducted by Prof. Rohit Joshi.
