125th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films Inaugurated at Marwah Studios

Noida: The 125th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films was inaugurated with great enthusiasm at Marwah Studios, celebrating yet another milestone in promoting young talent and creative cinema. The festival was graced by renowned actor Ritu Shivpuri as the Chief Guest, along with Archana Saxena, popularly known as Sita of Ayodhya Ramlila, and Faisal Mahmud, Minister (Press), High Commission of Bangladesh, as distinguished guests.

Inaugurating the festival, Ritu Shivpuri applauded the efforts of AAFT and Marwah Studios for continuously providing a strong platform for budding filmmakers. She expressed her admiration for the creativity and dedication reflected in the student films, calling the event “a true celebration of cinematic expression and youthful imagination.”

Archana Saxena congratulated the young filmmakers for their outstanding work and shared her joy in witnessing such passionate storytelling. She emphasized that platforms like AAFT encourage new voices in Indian cinema and nurture the spirit of innovation.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Founder of AAFT, proudly announced that AAFT holds a world record for producing the largest number of short films globally. “Over 3,600 short films have been made under this festival, giving opportunities to 3,600 directors and 15,000 filmmakers to present their debut creations. This is not just a record, but a revolution in film education,” said Dr. Marwah.

The festival screened ten of the best short films, showcasing a range of compelling stories and creative talent. A large audience comprising students, faculty, filmmakers, and media professionals from across India attended the event, making it a grand success.

At the conclusion of the festival, Dr. Marwah presented festival mementos to all the distinguished guests in recognition of their contribution to cinema and encouragement to young artists.

Sandeep Marwah Launched The Poster of Greater Noida Short Film Festival

Noida, June 11, 2023 – Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and renowned for his world record in producing the largest number of short films, was invited to unveil the poster for the upcoming Greater Noida Short Film Festival. The esteemed social and cultural organization, Prerna, honored Dr. Marwah by hosting the event at Marwah Studios Film City in Noida.

Arun Arora, the festival’s organizer, expressed immense pleasure in being associated with Sandeep Marwah for this festival, acknowledging that his presence would undoubtedly elevate the festival to new heights.

The Short Film Festival is scheduled to take place at the Swami Vivekanand Auditorium, Galgotia University, on August 26th and 27th, 2023. Young filmmakers, both from professional and non-professional backgrounds, are invited to submit their films by July 15th, 2023.

The festival encompasses a wide range of social and cultural themes, with a diverse array of awards designed to recognize outstanding talent. Dr. Marwah expressed his pride in being associated with the event and expressed confidence that AAFT (Asian Academy of Film and Television) would also submit a few films for the competition.

Development of New Cinema –Discussed at 10th Global Film Festival

Noida: A powerful discussion took place in the seminar when renowned filmmakers expressed their views on new kind of cinema now available to the audience.

“The definition of feature has changed from long hours to 90 minutes. This will treat as feature film and film can enter into any international feature film category. Digital has made cinema much more approachable,” initiate Sandeep Marwah President of GFFN.

“I being a lawyer is an example to the young film makers. I fulfill my all Supreme Court formalities and duties and then make films too. Films are made from mind. Good ideas can be converted into a screen show,” said Anoop Bose filmmaker and Lawyer.

“My job is tough as I am covering only wild life and cant direct animals to act for camera as other fictions. But digitalization has added many comforts in shooting and editing,” said Praveen Singh renowned wild life filmmaker.

Ketan Anand renowned filmmaker shared his wonderful experiences of film business and film shootings. Harish Tripathi renowned architect discussed the role of designing in cinema. Later Sandeep Marwah honored the dignities with the life membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT.

International Film And Television club Celebrates 70th Film Festival





IFTC International Film And Television Club of Marwah Studios has finalized the dates of its 70th AAFT festival of Short Digital Films .The festival will take place at the campus of Marwah Studios at Film City Noida the popular venue for many feature films and television serials.

AAFT Festival of short films is the only festival in the World which happens after every three months. It is now an another international record for Sandeep Marwah to be the President of the festival for the 70th times in the last 19 years of its existence where in total more than 1000 short films have been shown submitted by 700 young directors and participation by 9000 media persons of 80 countries of the World.

“I have never believed in awards, rewards or records. I have always believed in generating work and hard work” said Sandeep Marwah. “You keep on working the awards, rewards and records will follow you” added Marwah.

IFTC is supported by International Film And Television Research Centre, International Public Broadcasting Forum, International Children’s Film forum.

AAFT 70th Festival of Short Digital Films Fixed For May




“AAFT festival of short digital films is the only festival of its kind in the World which is organized after every three months, and this is going to be the 70th edition of the festival” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and also President of the festival while chairing the meeting of (IFTC) International Film And Television Club.

AAFT festival of Short Digital Films started by Sandeep Marwah in 1993 at Marwah Studios with the projection of limited films directed by the students of Asian Academy of Film And Television made during the first batch of the academy. Slowly and gradually the festival has taken first the shape of National and then International stature.

The festival is supported by (ICFF) International Children’s Film Forum, (IPBF) International Public Broadcasting Forum, Mahatma Gandhi Forum, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Forum, (IFTRC) International Film And Television Research Centre and Radio Noida 107.4FM. A committee has been formed to finalize the films for the 70th festival
