Sandeep Marwah On The Jury of Mobile Cinema Presentation At Cannes

Cannes: Renowned filmmaker and film educationist from India Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios has been nominated as the jury member and Vice President of the Jury of the first ever Mobile Cinema Festival organized by Artisan Festival International at Cannes during 72nd Cannes International Film Festival 2019.


 A F I   World Cinema Initiative provides the opportunity for a select group of filmmakers to submit their films to our Filmmaker program, geared towards taking independent filmmakers into the international industry, and showing them how to expand their own projects into this market place.  We are happy to showcase a diverse line-up of narratives, documentaries, short films, music videos, webisodes, and video art,” said Angelique Monét is an American multi-media talent and former Ms. Black South Carolina USA.

This Filmmaker Program will provide exposure and the necessary tools to understand the market place and enjoy what Cannes has to offer. This program is hosted by veterans with years of experience working the festival environment of Cannes and the marketplace.

“What a pleasure to be the Vice President of the Jury for the first Mobile Cinema Presentation at Cannes during 72nd Cannes International Film Festival. I could not miss this opportunity. I am here from India to fulfill my duties,” said Sandeep Marwah.

Filmmaker Prof. Karl Bardosh of New York University has designed the festival. Lawrence David Foldes member Executive Committee Academy of Motion Pictures Arts & Science is the President of  Jury, Petra Terzi President Cultural International Festivals, , Luba Balagova Kandour Founder President of Sochi International Film Festival, Yuanyuan Chen from China, Moradeum Adedoyin Solaris the authentic Princess Omoba and Peter Ferris of Ferris Entertainment London are the other members of Jury.

Results of 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema Declared




The 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema was a super hit not only with the film, television and Media students but also with the common men who were watching films with great interest held at Marwah Studios.

The results were declared in all the categories by the Chairperson of the jury Prof Karl Bardosh who specially flew down to Noida from New York. Speaking on the occasion Prof Karl gave the reference of the films made by his students of cinema at Tisch School of Arts at New York University. The Jury had Prof. kalyan Sarkar, Prof. Mansoor Naqvi, Prof. K.K.Pummi and Prof. V.S.Kanan.

The special jury award in Fiction Category went to film EHSAS by Nandan Ashish. Best Fiction to ‘SLUMDOG IN DANGER directed by Sonali Singh. The special jury mention for documentary ROUNDS ALL ROUNDS US directed by Kayyum Md. Harif Mistry and Best Documentary Award to TIRANGA directed by Kirtiman Singh. Best Message Category to THE GLIMPSES OF UNITY directed by Abhishek Kumar Maurya. Special Jury award in Best Massage category went to ROMANCING THE SKY by Varda Rizvi.

The First Award of still picture went to TARE ZAMEEN PAR by R.K.Shiva, Second to SOLITUDE by Hingul Dutta and Third to REVISITING POTHER PANCHALI by Shubra Ghosh. Special Jury Mention for still awarded to DREAMING EYES by Praveen Singh Chauhan, COMPLICATIONS by Vicky Khandur, MERA JAHAN by Manohar Rao and MEAL TIME FOR POOR & HUNGRY by Hemant. Every body was honored with the Award Certificates and the cash prize by Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

International Film And Television club Celebrates 70th Film Festival





IFTC International Film And Television Club of Marwah Studios has finalized the dates of its 70th AAFT festival of Short Digital Films .The festival will take place at the campus of Marwah Studios at Film City Noida the popular venue for many feature films and television serials.

AAFT Festival of short films is the only festival in the World which happens after every three months. It is now an another international record for Sandeep Marwah to be the President of the festival for the 70th times in the last 19 years of its existence where in total more than 1000 short films have been shown submitted by 700 young directors and participation by 9000 media persons of 80 countries of the World.

“I have never believed in awards, rewards or records. I have always believed in generating work and hard work” said Sandeep Marwah. “You keep on working the awards, rewards and records will follow you” added Marwah.

IFTC is supported by International Film And Television Research Centre, International Public Broadcasting Forum, International Children’s Film forum.

Asian Business School Will Manage 3rd Global Festival of Films

“This is the time when the business and management students of Asian Business School can show their expertise by managing this international event of 3rd Global Festival Of Films 2010 which is going to emphasize on Children’s Film” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and the GFF while talking to the administration of ABS at Noida Film City.

“We all are not only prepared but excited at ABS to participate in Global Festival of Films .The committees have already been framed to divide and subdivide the work” said Dr.Latika Sahani Dean Asian Business School.ABS is also inviting Oxford Business School, Oxford, United Kingdom to be part of the show.

“It is a golden opportunity for the students learning Media Management at ABS to organize and get associated with 30 events during three days of 3rd Global Festival of Films” added R.K.Singh festival Director and Dean Asian School of Media Studies who have been the former Engineer in Chief of Doordarshan.

Direction Workshop By Pankaj Parashar At Global Festival Of Films 2009


The visitors, students, media persons all were very lucky to be the part of Direction Workshop conducted by the renowned Director Pankaj Parashar on the second day of 2nd Global Festival of Documentary Films 2009 at Noida Film City.



Talking about his success and failure of films and projecting his films on screen the veteran Director discuss the ups and downs of the director in the Industry. Pankaj Parashar who has directed some of the finest films like Jalwa, Chalbazz, Himalayaputra, Meri Biwi Ka Jawab Nahin, Banaras and popular TV serial Karamchand along with 400 advertisement films for best of the companies.



“You have to get involved with the project, treat it as your child and then only you can give best to the film” said Pankaj Parashar “Workshops like this during the film festivals create the awareness among the masses about the hard work and fire one has to go through while making the films” said Sandeep Marwah, the president of festival. The session finished with the question answer session and the interview by Radio Noida 107.4FM.

Acting Workshop For Students At Global Festival Of Films 2009


The well known actor and a performer in feature films like Wanted, Aaloo Chat, Sing Is King, Dhamaal ect. Manoj Pahwa gave acting tips to the students of Asian Academy Of Film And Television and Asian School Of Media Studies on his visit to the 2nd Global Festival of Documentary Films 2009 at Noida Film City.

A special workshop had been planned at Marwah Studios where students had the full privilege to interact and ask questions related to carrier in acting and how to manage the affairs in the Film and TV industry.

“We are happy that this kind of workshop could be planned during Global festival of films, this makes the whole festival more interesting and creative in its nature” said Sandeep Marwah, the president of Marwah Studios, a creative enterprises and the sponsors of Global Festival.

“I am feeling more elevated that I have been given this kind of duty in International event to guide the young group of actors, My relation with Marwah Studios is very long, when I started my carrier at Delhi” said Manoj Pahwa .

Later, the president of the festival Sandeep Marwah honoured Manoj Pahwa with the life membership of International Film And Television Club.

IFTRC Promoted Documentation Centre At Global Festival Of Films 2009



Some of the finest documentary films were screened during the day followed by the release of set of seven technical books on film making prepared by the documentation department of International Film And Television Research Centre of Marwah Studios on the first day of 2nd Global festival of Documentary films 2009 at inaugural dinner at Noida Film City.

Basu Chatterjee, Pankaj Parashar, Manoj Pahwa together released the set of books at the glamorous evening supported by the presence of media, film and tv personalities.” I am pleased that the organizers have not forgotten the importance of film and tv education even during this glamorous and happening evening, I endorse the idea of Global Festival of Films” said Basu Chatterjee .”Releasing book is no less than a step towards spirituality, I am elevated by this gesture” said Pankaj Parashar. “I must carry these books and study them I will gain knowledge” said Manoj Pahwa.

The president of the festival Sandeep Marwah spoke about the International Film and TV Research Centre and the festival director Suman Bajaj Kalra paid vote of thanks.
