Team of Feature Film Manto at Marwah Studios


Noida: The star cast of Feature film Mantoo including Nawasuddin Sidiqui and Rasika Duggle along with the director Nandita Dass visited Marwah Studios who were there to interact with the media students of Asian Academy of Film And Television.

“Nandita  Dass is an actor and director, one of the leading figures in the Indian film industry. She has acted in more than 40 feature films in ten different languages. Das has been acclaimed for numerous performances, including in Fire, Earth, Bawandar , Kannathil Muthamittal, Azhagi, Kamli, and Before The Rains. Her directorial debut was with Firaaq, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival, traveled to more than 50 festivals, and won more than 20 awards,” introduced Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

Nawasuddin Sidiqui made his Bollywood debut in 1999, with a small role in the Aamir Khan starrer Sarfarosh He then appeared in Ram Gopal Varma’s Shool, Jungle and Rajkumar Hirani’s Munnabhai MBBS. He is known for his roles in Mom, Manjhi-The Mountain Man, Bajranghi Bhaijan etc, who spoke about his film Manto.

Rasika Dugal is an Indian actress who starred in several Bollywood movies, an Indian-German drama film and several Indian soap operas. She is best known for her role in the movies Kshay, Qissa and Manto also replied to questions putup by students.

Every one spoke about the film and shared their experience. Later Sandeep Marwah honored all the three stars with Life Membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT.

Children’s Film Society India Will Participate in 3rd Global Film Festival.

The 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 promoted by International Film And Television Club of Marwah Studios has welcomed the participation of Children’s Film Society of India, a body of Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Government of India from 12th to 14th November at Noida Film City.

“It is a proud moment for me that my film Aasmaan, produced by Children Film Society, India has been selected for the screening for the main Cinema at 3rd GFF” said renowned film director Pankaj Parashar who promised to be present at the festival for three days.

“I am thankful to Children Film Society, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India for encouraging us for the film festival on the issues of Children” said Sandeep Marwah the festival President and also Chairperson of International Children’s Film Forum formed and framed exactly last year during the 2nd Global Film festival in 2009.

Indo Nigerian Film Association Joins 3rd Global Film Festival




The management of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 has joined hands with Indo Nigerian Film Association for the promotion of the festival. The intimation has been sent to different organizations in Nigeria which is one of the largest film producing country of the World.

“We have been associated now with Indo Nigerian Film Association which is promoting film and television business of Indian Films in Nigeria and vice versa” said Sandeep Marwah President of Global Film Festival and Marwah Studios.

Ugo Ben, L Oyeleela, Bimakinde Jide, Osei Tutu Safo, Busari Omogbocahan and Bamigbola Olyfemi have confirmed their visit to the festival. The festival will take place from 12th November to 14th November at Noida Film City, India and shall comprised of workshops, seminars, exhibitions, market, launchings, book releases, interactions etc.

IPBF Will Be Part of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010

International Public Broadcasting Forum, a body to promote film, television, radio production and broadcasting is going to be part of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida, 2010 to be scheduled from 12th to 14th November.

The IPBF International Public Broadcasting Forum was earlier busy with Queen’s Baton Relay where 102 days coverage of QBR from Wagah Border to Delhi has been recorded by them for the organizing committee of Commonwealth Games. A documentary and a game’s song were also released recently by IPBF.

“International Public Broadcasting Forum, I am sure going to announce some films during 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010” said Sandeep Marwah President of GFF and Marwah Studios.

“IPBF has decided to announce another documentary on Children during the GFF Noida 2010” confirmed R.K.Singh festival Director.

The festival has planned a special slot for projecting the Commonwealth films and an exhibition of still photography of 102 days coverage of Queen’s Baton Relay during Global Film Festival.

First Poster of 3rd Global Film Festival 2010 Released


The first poster of 3rd Global Film Festival, Noida 2010 was released today at the glittering function at Noida Film City in the presence of complete organizing committee of the festival prepared by the team of Asian School of Graphics and Animation.

“I am honored to be the part of 3rdGFF, Noida 2010 which has emerged as the first and the biggest film event of the city. I on behalf of Rotary International assure you the full cooperation from Rotary International” said Asit Mittal renowned builder, social worker, film maker and Governor of Rotary International while confirming his support to GFF and releasing the of Poster.

“I take the honor in inviting Asit Mittal to join the organizing committee of 3rd Global Film Festival 2010. With his joining we will be able to invite the members of 126 Rotary International Clubs of Delhi NCR.” said Sandeep Marwah President of Global Film Festival.

“We have finalized 30 events in three days from 12th to 14th November for 3rd GFF 2010” said R.K.Singh Festival Director. “We are going to inform all the million members of Rotary International in 180 countries of the World” said Latika Sahani chairperson Reception Committee.

IFTRC Will Be Part of 3rd Global Festival Of Children’s Film 2010

International Film And Television Research Centre, the first film research organization in India in private sector has once again joined hands with 3rd Global Festival of Films 2010 with the emphasis on Children’s films. to be held from 12th November to 14th November 2010.

IFTRC, who have recently celebrated 18th year of its existence in India has already conducted research on children’s film and television programs in last so many years.
The research centre is associated with number of national and international film and television personalities, film makers and professors.


“We will be happy to associate International Film And Television Research Centre with 3rd Global Festival of Films 2010, as IFTRC is planning to release its books and publications during the festival” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival in a joint meeting of GFF and IFTRC.

The three days festival will be held at the campus of Marwah Studios at Noida Film City. GFF is the first International film festival of the city Noida which has been the fastest growing city in the World.

Global Festival Of Films 2010 Fixed For November

“We are once again proud to announce the dates of 3rd Global Festival of Films with special emphasis on Children’s Film this time.” said Sandeep Marwah President of the Festival in the general board meeting held today at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City, which has been finalized also as the venue of the festival.

The details of the three days festival program were chartered out with the committee including Gurbir Grewal, R.K. Singh, Kalyan Sarkar, Om Gupta as committee heads.
The festival will include screening of Children’s Film, a short film corner, workshops, seminars, an exhibition of film posters, a market place, get together etc

The festival will also see interaction with foreign film makers, Indian Film personalities and film, television and media students .The 3rd Global Festival of Films will be supported by Asian Academy of Film And Television, Asian School of Media Studies, Asian School of Performing Arts, Asian Business School and Asian School of Graphics and Animation.

AAFT is proud of Ahran Chaudhary




New Delhi 19th Sept:“We all are proud at Asian Academy of Film And Television for Ahran Chaudhary our student of Acting for bringing laurels to AAFT by winning the best model title of renowned competition of Gladrags” said Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Director of AAFT.

“My days at Marwah Studios not only taught me the ways and means to grow in acting but also motivated to work hard and pursue my carrier’ said Ahran Chaudhary who shifted to Mumbai after his training at Noida Film City.

“It is not only necessary but essential to go for education and training in Film and Television so that you can gain confidence and learn all that in shortest period of time” added Ahran while talking to the media persons.

Asian School of Performing Arts an acting school of AAFT is running short term as well as one year course in Acting. The education and training in acting is supported by large number of short films for the students produced by Marwah Films and Video Production.

Workshop On Red Camera By Sethu Sriram At AAFT


“I would like to come back to AAFT for more time to part with my knowledge on camera and lighting with the young camera persons who are looking enthusiastic and eager to learn” said renowned camera person Sethu Sriram famous for feature films like Wanted, Shakti –The Power, Money Hai To Honey Hai, Tere Sang, Tere Naam, Thanmanthra, Annavaram while interacting with the students at Asian Academy of Film And Television

A special workshop has been designed by AAFT for the students of Camera and Lighting Techniques on the latest Red Camera by Sethu Sriram coordinated by Prof. Kalyan Sarkar at the campus at Noida Film City.

“There is hardly a channel or a production house where our camera students are not working” said Sandeep Marwah president of Marwah Studios and Director of AAFT while introducing the guest to camera students.

Giving ample examples from his works of feature films and discussing his latest work on Red Camera Sethu Sriram spent a lot of time in answering the questions of young film makers. The workshop was supported by International Film And Television Research Centre.

National Seminar On Cinema At Asian School Of Media Studies




“India is the largest film producing country in the world. More than 900 films are produced in 28 languages .There are 13000 theaters in the country and 10 million people watch cinema every day. We sell 3 billion tickets every year, largest in the World.” introduced Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Director of Asian School of Media Studies as the opening statement of National seminar on Cinema at Noida Film City.

“We are proud film makers of this country, we have given some of the finest films to the nation even without the availability of any extra ordinary techniques earlier” said Ketan Mehta popularly known for his films like Bhavni Bhavai, Holi, Mirch Masala, Hero Hiralal, Maya Memsahab, Sardar, Aar Ya Paar, Mangal Pandey, Rang Rasiya etc.while inaugurating the seminar at ASMS.” The changes in Indian Cinema can be condensed to the changes in techniques, the contents and the presentation” Mehta added.

Writer, Director Shakeel Shamsi of Sahara emphasized on the requirements of the good subjects and scripts. “The changing perception of masses and their expectations plays a vital role in finalizing the subject” he added. R.K.Singh Dean ASMS conducted the program.

Others who spoke and covered the different subjects on Cinema were Gurbir Grewal Dy Director AAFT known for films Mannat and Coffee House, A.S.Bedi writer of feature film Silsala, Ashok Tyagi Dean Cinema & popularly known for his films Bharat Bhagya Vidhata, Return of Jewel Thief, Ardh Satya, Satha Se Uthta Admi, Albert Pinto Ko Gussa Kuyun Aata Hai, Surkhiyan etc.

Rahul Sehgal, Dr. Om Gupta, Deepti Pant also spoke their point of views. Later Sandeep Marwah honored Ketan Mehta with the life membership of International Film And Television Club of ASMS. The seminar ended with intelligent question answer session by the media students from all over India and abroad.

Book Release At Marwah Studios




Emphasizing on the need of writing for the film, tv, and media students Sandeep Marwah motivated students to come forward and start writing for the wonderful provisions created by Marwah Studios for them including ‘Pranam’ a magazine, ‘Asian News Journal’, ‘AAFT News Letter’, ‘Batch Buzz.com’ a portal and ‘Asian News Agency’. “There is no dearth of exposure if someone loves writing here in the campus” explained Sandeep Marwah while releasing the book on renowned writer Dr. Madhukar Gangadhar written by Sangeeta Raghuvanshi at Asian Academy Of Film And Television, Noida Film City.

“I am associated with this institution for many years and I have taken the liberty to write for this institute many times in my magazine, papers and write ups” said Madhukar Gangadhar present on the occasion as Chief guest who has written more than 36 books himself including novels, plays and poetries. He shared some of the important instances of his life with students.

Others who spoke on the occasion were Dr Om Gupta dean writing who persuaded students to learn from the life of giants like Madhukar Gangadhar. Course director Harshvardhan presented the life membership of International Film And Television Club to the Guest and Kalyan Sarkar Dean AAFT paid vote of thanks. Dance Recital At Marwah Studios




“No entertainment is complete without music and dance, People who want to sustain in this industry must have knowledge of music and dance” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of AAFT while introducing young talented Kathak exponent Anjana Singha to young film makers on the third day of 68th batch of Asian Academy of Film and television at Noida Film City.

“India has vast Culture, every state has its ways and means to entertainment people. Every part of the country has different mode of dances and Kathak is one of the eight forms of popular Classical Dances in India” said Anjana Singha while answering the questions coming from film, TV and media students.

“Kathak word has derived from KATHA which means story and kathak is story teller, its story telling through movements” said Prof. Kalyan Sarkar Dean AAFT while appreciating the young lady who is well traveled abroad and performed two well prepared items in a jam packed hall.

“Every moment is a learning moment when you are in a film school, it is a wonderful opportunity not only for acting students but for all to understand movements, face reactions, expression matching with story theme” said Satish Anand, Dean Acting.

Later Anana Singha was presented with the life membership of International Film And Television Club by the institute. The event was supported by International Children’s Film Forum and International Public Broadcasting Forum of Asian Education Group.

Film Premiere By International Children's Film Forum




After the long tiring twelve working days of film learning, the kids were more than excited to look at their final product at Big-Cinema screen to celebrate the premiere of Children’s film at Noida jointly organized by International Children’s Film Forum and Cine Darbar for the who’s who of the city.

The films were produced by International Public Broadcasting Forum for the Children and Written, Acted and Directed by the young film makers themselves under the guidance of Supriya Suri, Anuj Malhotra and Nitesh Rohit of Cine Darbar. The film facilities were provided by Marwah Studios.

“We have to work a lot in this segment, where school students should understand the value of visual media, and use this medium not only to express themselves but also to uplift the society through better cinema.” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah studios, a creative enterprises and Chairperson of IPBF as well as ICFF while inaugurating the film premiere.

“I congratulate the young aspirants of film making, and wish them a bright future in this beautiful glamorous field of Cinema” said R.K.Singh Dean ASMS and Vice President of International Broadcasting Forum.

“I am impressed by the wonderful ideas these kids have generated, and their hard work can been seen through these films” said Gurbir Grewal, Jt. Director AAFT and Vice President of International Children’s Film Forum.

In total five films were screened and every director was given an opportunity to interact with the huge gathering in the hall .Later Sandeep Marwah presented certificates to all the participants.

AAFT is Proud of Gurmeet Singh of Sharafat Gaye Tel Lane


The shooting of feature film ‘Sharafat Gayi Tel Lane’ is finished in Delhi-Noida produced under Taandav Film Production Banner by Savita Raj featuring Zayed Khan, Rannvijay (Roadies MTV fame), Anupam Kher, Talia Benson, Paresh Rawal and it’s a debut for Tina Desai under the directorship of young and dynamic Gurmeet Singh. The Story is by Rajesh Chawla and edited by Megna Manchanda.

Gurmeet Singh after passing out from AAFT Asian Academy Of Film And Television joined Marwah Films And Video Production under the leadership of Sandeep Marwah and directed few add films, corporate films and a popular and award winning documentary The Mud Palace.

His interest for feature films brought him to tinsel town and joined Feroz Abbas Khan as assistant director and in no time rose to the level of first AD in ‘Gandhi My Father’. He joined later Ashutosh Gwadikar as Chief Assistant in ‘Jodha Akbar’ and no looking back.

Gurmeet now is the Director of Sharafat Gayi Tel Lane, which is now ready for release.. Sandeep Marwah, the Director of AAFT announced a special honour for Gurmeet Singh for bringing laurels to the institution.

Acting Workshop For Students At Global Festival Of Films 2009


The well known actor and a performer in feature films like Wanted, Aaloo Chat, Sing Is King, Dhamaal ect. Manoj Pahwa gave acting tips to the students of Asian Academy Of Film And Television and Asian School Of Media Studies on his visit to the 2nd Global Festival of Documentary Films 2009 at Noida Film City.

A special workshop had been planned at Marwah Studios where students had the full privilege to interact and ask questions related to carrier in acting and how to manage the affairs in the Film and TV industry.

“We are happy that this kind of workshop could be planned during Global festival of films, this makes the whole festival more interesting and creative in its nature” said Sandeep Marwah, the president of Marwah Studios, a creative enterprises and the sponsors of Global Festival.

“I am feeling more elevated that I have been given this kind of duty in International event to guide the young group of actors, My relation with Marwah Studios is very long, when I started my carrier at Delhi” said Manoj Pahwa .

Global Festival of Documentary Films emerges as the most prestigious South Asian Documentary Film Festival as it bags the most awarded and talked about films for participation in the Festival organized by International Film & Television Club of Marwah Studios, a Creative Enterprise.
