Hollywood Filmmaker Govind K. Saji Conducts Inspiring Workshop at AAFT School of Cinema

Noida: The AAFT School of Cinema hosted an enriching and interactive workshop by acclaimed filmmaker Govind K. Saji from Los Angeles, USA, providing students with a valuable opportunity to gain firsthand knowledge of international filmmaking practices and creative storytelling techniques.

During the session, Govind K. Saji shared his experiences from the film industry and offered deep insights into the art and craft of filmmaking. He also presented and discussed his acclaimed film “Khadima – The Caregiver,” explaining the creative process, script development, character building, visual storytelling, and cinematic vision behind the project. The screening and discussion enabled students to understand the practical aspects of filmmaking and the challenges involved in bringing meaningful stories to the screen.

The workshop was conducted by Vikas Singh, Dean, AAFT School of Cinema, who welcomed the guest and emphasized the importance of learning from experienced professionals working in the global film industry.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Indo-American Film and Cultural Forum and President of Marwah Studios, highlighted the significance of international collaborations in film education. “Exposure to global cinema and interaction with accomplished filmmakers enriches the learning experience of students and broadens their creative horizons. Noida: “AAFT students have been lucky to have renowned international film makers as their faculty. No film school can provide so much of international exposure to their students,” said Raghav Marwah introducing Abhi Sinha from Los Angles.

“Your deep involvement will take you to next level. You have to wait for the right role. Acting is not roadside business. One good film can get you an international coverage. Keep on practicing for the D Day. Enjoy your profession. Keep fit,” were some of the tips were delivered by Abhi Sinha in his workshop which induced the acting students to be more sincere in their profession.

Abhi Sinha has created a wonderful niche for himself and has been a part of many films and TV series like The Cleaner, How I Met Your Mother, Ghost Whisperer, Hank, I Melt With You, Rosewood, Designated Survivors and popular films like In Time, After The Dark,  The Conjuring 2 etc.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah President AAFT honored and presented Life Membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT to Abhi Sinha.

Sandeep Marwah Honored on Birthday Anniversary of Dev Anand

Sandeep Marwah was honored for his contribution to Indian Cinema on the birth anniversary of legend film star Deva Anand in grand function at India Islamic Cultural Centre, New Delhi in the presence of music veterans of Delhi including Amarjeet Singh Kohli and VSK Sood.

“What a pleasure to receive this prestigious award on the birth anniversary of Dev Anand. Music is life and now cannot be separated from our day-to-day life. Entertainment is a parallel line of our routine business. I am here to add on to better and comfortable life,” said Sandeep Marwah thanking every one. Later Sandeep Marwah presented awards to different artist and art promoters of Delhi.

Convocation of 70th Batch of Trainees At AAFT




Training under a real media guru has raised the level of not only the education and training at AAFT but uplifts the altitude of humanity in each and every young film, TV and media aspirant.” said Lalit Bhasin a renowned Supreme Court lawyer and Chief Guest on the convocation of 70th batch of trainees of AAFT at Noida Film City.

“Love and adore all arts be it paintings, sculptures, music, singing, dance, drama or writing in case you want to grow in Cinema which carries all arts into its stream” said Jatin Das a renowned International painter motivating passing out students.

“If two meetings with Sandeep Marwah can convert me from Chartered Accountant to writer, you are lucky to be in this institute and can do wonders in media” articulated Rajiv Soni from the dice of AAFT. Social worker and politician Pawan Verma said, “We at Uttar Pradesh feel proud that AAFT is being operated from this state and is an International seat of learning.

Dr D.M. Mahajan a dermatologist offered his services to all the acting students to rectify their looks for better presentation and Syed Ahmed Ali assured the technical students to join his channel for better prospects.

Marwah Studios Join Hands With Film Company Kodak




We are out and out ready to promote our feature film wing of Marwah studios so that students enrolled in film courses like BSC in Cinema, Msc in Cinema PGD in Cinematography and Bsc in Cinema with Cinematography as specialization can get ample education and training at the first hand in the institute Asian Academy of Film And Television (AAFT) and Asian School of Media Studies (ASMS) informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

To make things easy and available both the schools AAFT and ASMS have tied up with International renowned film company Kodak for the supply as well as the developing of the films. The Vice President of the Company Mehernoz Maloo said,” I am happy to see the facilities available at Marwah Studios for education and teaching films, we would love to join hands with them”

To promote film education we have requested a renowned Cinematographer and film maker Joao Ponces Carlavos from Portugal, Karl Bardosh from New York University and Ashok Tyagi, David Dhawan, Basu Chatterjee, Pankaj Parashar , Khalid Mohammed and Boney Kapoor to be on the board.

Sandeep Marwah Promoted Indo American Relations In A Bigway

Speaking at the grand event newly appointed convener of Indo American Relations at Marwah studios Om Gupta expressed that Sandeep Marwah deserves all awards for promoting Indo US relations through Films, TV and Media, his appointment as Chairperson of Entertainment Committee at Indo American Chamber of Commerce is just a gesture towards his efforts for this cause.


Sandeep Marwah has developed relationship with New York University, Lee Staatsburg College of Acting, New York Film Academy, Academy of Arts University, invited people like Prof Karl Bardosh, Narender Karri, Raj Singh producer from LA, film director Judy Kaplan, Alferd G Schweppe attoney from Washington, addressed MBA students from Virginia University who studied the development of film business in North India by Marwah, he is the part of Academy Award- Oscar winning film ‘Smile Pinky’, he is the spokes person of Noida Film City where the first lady of USA Mrs Laura Bush visited, invited Director Rajeev Anchal and DOP of Hollywood feature film ‘Beyond The Soul’,

Marwah invited the biggest glamorous title holder Miss Universe 2010 to Marwah Studios, Raj Pillai a medical doctor from New York, Raj Singh and Neena hotelier from New Jersy, David Bloss senior Journalist for workshop, Terry Mcluhan daughter of Marshall Macluhan had premier of her documentary Frontier Gandhi at Marwah Studios. Marwah was the only representative from Noida on the visit of President Bill Cliton at New Delhi added R.K.Singh Joint Director ASMS.

Sandeep invited Hollywood Actor Michel J Fox, Jean Marie Lomour, shared honour and interaction at Cairo with Hollywood Stars Salma Hayek, Samuel Jackson and Luci Lui, he has been a speaker at Indo American Economic Summit 2009, 2010 and 2011, signed joint venture of film with American Company for feature film, educated and trained students from USA in his renowned film school Asian Academy of Film And TV, invited delegates and films at International Festival of Cellphone Cinema and Global Film Festivals promoted by him in India etc .informed Om Gupta.

IFTRC Will Be Part Of 4th International Festival Of Cellphone Cinema




International Film And Television Research Centre established in 1993 to promote film and television education in India has already served and helped many film and television organizations and film makers now joins hand with 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema fixed for 15th -16th January, 2011.

IFTRC will provide all inputs to new and young film makers as how to do the best even in limited resources. “We are consulting all members of IFTRC spread all over the World to promote 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema” said Sandeep Marwah President of IFCC and Director of Asian Academy of Film And Television.

International Festival of Cellphone Cinema has three categories where anybody can submit the entry in one or all including still category, Fiction or music video, and news gathering. The last date of submission is 8th January.AAFT will host the event. (www.aaft.com)

IPBF Joins Hand With 4th International Festival Of Cellphone Cinema


International Public Broadcasting Forum, a body to promote film, television and Radio productions join hands with 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema scheduled for 3rd week of January 2011 at Noida Film City.

The World Record Holder of producing largest number of short films and festival President Sandeep Marwah appointed Kalyan Sarkar as festival Director who is also Dean of renowned film school Asian Academy of Film And Television established in 1993.

“International Public Broadcasting Forum will look after all the production and editing of films by providing shooting and post production facilities to all those who wants to participate in this festival.” said R.K.Singh Vice President of IPBF.

4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema in January 2011


4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema in January 2011
International Film and Television Club along with Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) have decided to go ahead with the 4th International festival of Mobile Cinema at Marwah Studios in the third week of January 2010.

The purpose of this two days festival is to unleash the creative spark of the participants by using non traditional means of technology like the Cell Phone and create both motion and still imagery. The festival has slot for seminar, workshop by known film makers followed by Gala networking lunches and dinners

All the entries to be created by using a mobile phone. The entries should be original and not infringe on any copy right law. All works to be either uploaded on batchbuzz.com or the body of work can be sent on CD at the festival office at AAFT, Marwah Studios, Film City, Noida. The last date of registration is 8th-Jan-2011. The video length should be 3 minutes maximum.

The film entries received from various countries will be judged by an international jury in New Delhi and the result for the 9 winner in three categories of the Cell Phone Cinema festival will be announced later. The list of the film entries qualified for the finals, will be disclosed through the Internet.( www.aaft.com)

Sandeep Marwah an international media personality, promoter of Noida Film City, President of Marwah Studios with World Records to his credit of producing largest number of short films and recently created another record with QBR Commonwealth Games Delhi, is the teacher and trainer to more than 9000 media persons from 80 countries of the World is honored with ‘Bharat Gaurav Award’.

Mr India Will Be Shown During 3rd Global Film Festival




The film which is directly related to Children Mr India is the entry for screening at 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 from 12th to 14th November at festival venue at Noida Film City.

“Even though the film Mr India has been screened so many times in different channels, the children still have great craze for this film” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival.” This film has been all time hit of Director Shekhar Kapoor and Producer Boney Kapoor” Marwah added.

I wanted to be at the festival for all three days but I have to be out of India for official work” said Boney Kapoor. “I have realized that the reaction of the Children is same after seeing the movie all these years” said Sridevi who is also out of India at the time of Festival.

Other films which are going to be screened in the festival are Nitobeh (Japan), Blue Umbrella (India), 400 Blows (France), Ivan’s Childhood (Russia), The Bicycle Thief (Italy), Baduk (Iran), Mouchette (France), Kirikou Et La Sorciere (France), Bellisemia (Italy), The Spirit of The Beehive (Spain) and many more.

Oscar Entry Guru Will Participate In 3rd Global Film Festival Noida




“The full length feature film GURU directed by Rajeev Anchal in Malayalam and produced by Harbbei Sidhu supported by Shantigiri Ashram on the theme of Guru inspired by the Karunakar Guru is the part of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010” informed Festival President Sandeep Marwah to the international press.

The film Guru was the OSCAR entry of India selected by the Apex film body of the country Film Federation of India in the year 1997.The film was appreciated by the Oscar Committee but could not be taken into the competition list. The film has bagged many awards in India and abroad

“The performance of super star of South India Mohanlal brought the level of film to par excellence. Director Rajeev Anchal was given an international status with this film” said Sidhu.

Children’s Film Society India Will Participate in 3rd Global Film Festival.

The 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 promoted by International Film And Television Club of Marwah Studios has welcomed the participation of Children’s Film Society of India, a body of Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Government of India from 12th to 14th November at Noida Film City.

“It is a proud moment for me that my film Aasmaan, produced by Children Film Society, India has been selected for the screening for the main Cinema at 3rd GFF” said renowned film director Pankaj Parashar who promised to be present at the festival for three days.

“I am thankful to Children Film Society, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India for encouraging us for the film festival on the issues of Children” said Sandeep Marwah the festival President and also Chairperson of International Children’s Film Forum formed and framed exactly last year during the 2nd Global Film festival in 2009.

IPBF Will Be Part of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010

International Public Broadcasting Forum, a body to promote film, television, radio production and broadcasting is going to be part of 3rd Global Film Festival Noida, 2010 to be scheduled from 12th to 14th November.

The IPBF International Public Broadcasting Forum was earlier busy with Queen’s Baton Relay where 102 days coverage of QBR from Wagah Border to Delhi has been recorded by them for the organizing committee of Commonwealth Games. A documentary and a game’s song were also released recently by IPBF.

“International Public Broadcasting Forum, I am sure going to announce some films during 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010” said Sandeep Marwah President of GFF and Marwah Studios.

“IPBF has decided to announce another documentary on Children during the GFF Noida 2010” confirmed R.K.Singh festival Director.

The festival has planned a special slot for projecting the Commonwealth films and an exhibition of still photography of 102 days coverage of Queen’s Baton Relay during Global Film Festival.

IFTRC Will Be Part of 3rd Global Festival Of Children’s Film 2010

International Film And Television Research Centre, the first film research organization in India in private sector has once again joined hands with 3rd Global Festival of Films 2010 with the emphasis on Children’s films. to be held from 12th November to 14th November 2010.

IFTRC, who have recently celebrated 18th year of its existence in India has already conducted research on children’s film and television programs in last so many years.
The research centre is associated with number of national and international film and television personalities, film makers and professors.


“We will be happy to associate International Film And Television Research Centre with 3rd Global Festival of Films 2010, as IFTRC is planning to release its books and publications during the festival” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival in a joint meeting of GFF and IFTRC.

The three days festival will be held at the campus of Marwah Studios at Noida Film City. GFF is the first International film festival of the city Noida which has been the fastest growing city in the World.

IFTC Announces 3rd Global Festival of Children’s Film 2010




The International Film And Television Club, a body conducting seminars, symposiums, national and international film festivals, interaction programs, cultural festivals now going ahead with the planning and designing of 3rd Global Festival of Children’s Film.

The earlier two were Global Festival of Films on Peace and Spirituality and Global Festival of Documentary Films. Both were super successful programs conducted by IFTC and the venue was Noida Film City.

This time also the venue will remain same. This festival has become the first International Film Festival of the city Noida. The film City at Noida is the fastest growing film city in the World spread out in almost 100 acres of land.

“We are happy that Noida Film City has been again finalized for the festival. Last year we saw 17 events in 3 days of Global Festival including screenings, workshops, openings, releases, seminars etc” said Sandeep Marwah Chairperson of International Film And Television Club.

The festival is going to be supported by many national and international organizations including Indo Wales Creative Forum, International Film And Television Research Centre, Indo Nigerian Film Association etc.

“It is not only necessary but essential to go for education and training in Film and Television so that you can gain confidence and learn all that in shortest period of time” added Ahran while talking to the media persons.

Asian School of Performing Arts an acting school of AAFT is running short term as well as one year course in Acting. The education and training in acting is supported by large number of short films for the students produced by Marwah Films and Video Production.
