New Delhi: An interesting Workshop on new techniques of film making, using mobile phones, laptops and web applications, brought by Peter Ferris in his condensed workshop was organized by AAFT University for the students of cinema.

Peter Ferris has been at the forefront of revolutionizing the Film, TV and Music Industry for 30 years. His production company screens and represents actors, runs film making master classes and works with some of the world’s premiere film festivals. He is an award winning film producer and his productions appear at many leading industry film events worldwide each year. Peter has helped launch the professional careers of many well-known actors, actresses and performers and continues to provide screen-acting classes across the UK each month.

“I met Peter last year at Cannes International Film Festival 2019 France, where we were together as part of the jury for first ever Mobile Film Festival at Cannes. We were also part of the award function, where we were honored with the life time achievement award for contribution to Media,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT University.

It is Peter’s recent work to develop smartphone movie making applications that positions him as an technology innovator and entrepreneur who is facilitating new ways in his industry.

“Once recorded it becomes history. I believe that film making should be part of our life and that is why I am promoting easy way of making films. I am happy that Dr. Marwah also believes in the same theory and he is also in film education,” said Peter Ferris. Later the session was followed by question answers.

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios, a well known name in film and television Industry, has been nominated as the jury for Lockdown Mobile Movie Making Competition by Bhartiya Chitra Sadhna.

Bharatiya Chitra Sadhana encourages films that promote progressiveness of Indian society with timeless philosophy, Bhartiya values & modern evolvements. To facilitate & promote such films and film-makers, since 2016 it is organizing Chitra Bharati Film Festival at different cities of India.

This time the subjects were related to Covid 19. Large numbers of films have been received, the winning films will be projected in a separate function.

“I had the pleasure to see all the films which were received by the festival in three different categories. The results are ready to announce. I must appreciate the involvement of so many young film makers in this subject,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Atul Gangwar Head Delhi University Film Appreciation Society, Dr. Rakesh Yogi Professor with Makhanlal Chaturvedi University, Yadu Vijayakrishnan Parmeshwaran renowned Cinema Photographer, Parijat Kaul Consultant at Prasar Bharati Broadcasting Corporation of India and Rati Dhillion educationist are other members of the jury. Arun Kumar a theatre personality and Trustee Bhartiya Chitra Sadhna coordinated the event.

Mumbai: 13th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema has been announced for all those who love short films and ready to shoot stills and movie on their mobile phones, submission of entries to be closed on 15th May, the date has been extended owing to lock down.

This time, well known actor director Satish Kaushik, film director Raju Parsekar and director of short films Vevek Paul along with Prof. Karl Bardosh and Sandeep Marwah are going to be on the jury to announce and distribute number of gifts received from DETEL.

“It is a very interesting festival and I am looking anxiously for the people especially from film and media students to submit their entries. You never know some time you get a unique idea from these films to actually produce a full length feature film and participant gets his due credit,” said Satish Kaushik appreciating the concept of cellphone cinema.

The entries can be in four categories namely Still Photos taken by mobile, Movies made by mobile and can be in three different categories that is- News Gathering, -Music Video and -Fiction. All these movies should not be more than 3 minutes in duration.

13th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema

New Delhi:  The most popular and the first ever mobile festival in the World –International Festival of Cellphone Cinema 2020 launched its 13th edition on line during the lock down because of the pandemic Covid 19.

“We are pleased to announce the 13th edition of our admired festival International Festival of Cellphone Cinema today. The 15th May is the last date of        receiving entries of films made from mobile phone,” said Sandeep Marwah President o the festival.

There are four categories where you can participate. They are 1st submission of still photographs, 2nd News Gathering, 3rd a music video and 4th  a fiction.  Films should not be more than 3 minutes of duration. These films can be uploaded on filmclub@aaft.com or can be sent via Whatsapp to no +918586978492. You can visit the website www.ifcpc.com for further details.

This time well-known film personalities like film actor and director Satish Kaushik, Film Director Raju Parsekar and Director of short films Vivek Paul are going to be the members of jury. The festival is open to any and everyone of any age. Prof. Karl Bardosh of Tisch School of Arts, New York University is the advisor to the festival from New York.

The festival is designed and promoted by International Film And Television Club and supported by Asian Academy of Film And Television as well as International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Noida: On receiving tremendous response of the festival from all over India and abroad, the last date of the submission has been extended to 31st March 2019 as stated by the festival President Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

“We are happy with the amazing response we have received from all over the World for 12th edition of International Festival of Cellphone Cinema started in 2007,” said Prof. Karl Bardosh Master Professor from Kanbar Institute of Film & Television of Tisch School of Arts at New York University.

“We have already persuaded enough to the students of Cinema to be part of this fascinating festival. The response is good and participation is traffic,” added Amir Abdullah Director AAFT School of Cinema.

The festival has picked up very well al over the World and more than 5000 entries we have received till today,”’ said Yogesh Mishra Dean AAFT Short Term Courses.

Noida: A powerful workshop was designed by Dr. Sandeep Marwah father of Cellphone Cinema for the faculty and staff of Asian Education Group at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City by renowned film director Prof. Karl Bardosh who flew down  all the way from New York.

On the occasion of 12th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema 2019, the first ever festival in the World started by Sandeep Marwah, the master professor Karl Bardosh joined from Tisch School of Arts, New York University to support the festival.

Accumulating over 30 years of professional experience in Europe, Asia, Brazil, Hollywood and New York in all genres of film and television, Prof. Karl Bardosh of New York University has been an award-winning director, producer, writer, editor of features, shorts, television series and documentaries. Throughout these years Prof. Bardosh has been a trendsetting pioneer in many areas of film and television. He has also been titled as father of Cellphone Cinema.

Noida: An Exhibition of Paintings created by Parul Mehra was inaugurated at 12th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema 2019 at Marwah Studios.

“Parul Mehra is an architect by profession & an Artist by expression. Her creative learning started in college, where she practiced sketching & building 3D models, enhancing her experiences with colours, materials & dimensions. After working in the construction & interiors business over time, she realised her true calling is art,” introduced Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of IFCPC.

"My art is an expression of my dreams, my world in bright hues. This is an inner journey, a catalog of my subconscious being & what it infers on the spiritual plane of my daily life. Sometimes, these artistic expressions are decoded months after paintings have been made. When I paint, it’s in a meditative state of mind as if in a trance,” expressed Parul Mehra while showing her works of Art.

H.E.K.L. Ganju Consul General of Comoros in India, Devendra Pathak Vice Chancellor Oriental University and Prof. N.K. Sinha Vice Chancellor of Himalayan Garwal University inaugurated the exhibition.

Noida: The most exclusive and the first film festival associated with Cellphone cinema in the World saw its 12th edition at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.

The formal inauguration of 12th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema took place in Asian Academy of Film And Television by H.E. K.L.Ganju Consul General of Comoros to India with other important dignities like Devendra Pathak Vice Chancellor Oriental University, Prof. N.K. Sinha Vice Chancellor of Himalayan Garwal University on the dice.

“What a unique way to celebrate cinema. This festival is a revolution in the industry, I am sure people will salute Sandeep Marwah for his most innovative ideas and style of execution,” said K.L.Ganju while lighting the ceremonial lamp.

“Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been always first and look for ideas out of the box. His status of being Father Of Cellphone Cinema will remain for centuries to come,” added Devendra Pathak Vice Chancellor Oriental University.

“Everlasting energy and non stop formation of ideas Dr. Sandeep Marwah   is chairing more than 100 organizations, still he does not forget to do his job of reminding people of their rights and duties. His involvement with cellphone is
Like a love affair,” referred Prof. N.K.Sinha Vice Chancellor Himalayan University.

Young filmmakers from all over India and abroad attended the event.
Ashok Tyagi Film Maker, Seema Gumer Director Star Buzz Events and Yogesh Mishra Dean AAFT were present there.

International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry supports the event along with many other International organizations associated with Marwah Studios.

Noida: The International Club of   Film And Television has announced the dates of the    12th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema today in a board meeting under the leadership of festival president Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah who has been honored and titled as the Father of Cellphone Cinema as he is the first one in India to shot a film on mobile camera  and first one to start the festival of films on mobile.

“We have decided to launch 12th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema today where 11th and 12th January will be two events and 5th February will be the last date of submission the entries, The results will be declared on 12th of February on International Day of Journalism,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of IFCPC.

There are two segments one still photographs and second video where a fiction, a music video and New Gathering can be submitted to www.ifcpc.com for large number of awards totaling to two hundred thousand rupees.

Noida: The renowned international media personality Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios honored and titled as “The Father of Cellphone Cinema” by the 44 delegates from 24 Countries of World during Global Cellphone Cinema Summit at Noida Film City.

Sandeep Marwah is the first person to shoot film on cellphone in India around 12 years back. He is also the first person to start the first ever International Festival of Cellphone Cinema in the World.

It was long ago when my friend, Prof. Karl Bardosh from New York and myself shot a film on mobile. it was shot half in Noida and half in New York. Then we also planned a first ever festival of films shot by mobile phone, then no looking back,” said Sandeep Marwah talking to the house full auditorium foreign delegates and film makers from all over India.

International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry organized the Cellphone Cinema Summit in association with Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Skill Development And Entrepreneurship, Government of India. The 11th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema will open on 12th February 2018 along with Global Festival of Journalism.

IFCPC Supported by International Associations

Noida: Large number of international organizations have joined hands with the 11th edition of International Festival of Cellphone Cinema to be held in the month of January,2018 at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City.

Indo Wales Creative Forum, Indo Nigerian Film Association, Indo Cyprus Film And Cultural Forum, Indo Romania Film and Cultural Forum, Indo Czech Republic Film and Cultural Forum, Indo Nepal Cultural Forum, Indo Fiji Cultural Forum are now on the board to support and be a part of the festival.

Other organization like Indo South Africa Cultural Association, Indo Gabon Cultural Forum, Indo Polish Film Association, Indo Tibet Cultural Forum, Indo Venezuela Film and Cultural Forum, Indo Hungarian Film Association have also confirmed their participation.

“Indeed IFCPC has become a global festival. This is the first ever festival in the World to screen films made by mobile phones,” said Sandeep Marwah President of the festival. Asian Academy of Film And Television and ICMEI will manage the event.

11th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema Announced


Noida: One of the most unique film festivals of the World-International Festival of Cellphone Cinema will see its 11th edition in the month of February along with 6th Global Festival of Journalism 2018 announced by Sandeep Marwah the President of International Film And Television Club.

“12 years back we thought of starting a short film on mobile, Prof. Karl Bardosh of Tisch School of Arts, New York University, USA  joined hands with us to complete the film  half in Noida and half in New York. Screening of that first film gave us an idea to start a film festival of films made from mobile phone,” said Sandeep Marwah also President of Marwah Studios.

“International Festival of Cellphone Cinema is first of its kind in the World. The scale and grandeur added by Sandeep makes him a show man of the international film industry,” said Prof. Karl Bardosh Master Professor in Tisch School of Arts.

A colorful poster was launched at Marwah Studios to start propagating the entries from all over the World. AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television will be the host of the event said V.S. Kanan Dean AAFT.

Two days 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema inaugurated here in Noida with the seminar on ‘The Future of Cellphone Cinema’ at Marwah Studios with great pomp and show with the large young enthusiastic audience to know more about this show.

“The International Film And Television Club of Marwah Studios, a creative enterprises has supported the movement of film festivals and film events in this part of the World, 4th IFCC is part of that initiative” said Kalyan Sarkar introducing the festival to all the delegates present from all over India and abroad.

We are committed to the entertainment industry and promoting every segment of this industry is our aim whether it is Education, Research, Events, Festivals, Interactions, Seminars, Production of Films etc. The 4th International Film Festival of Cellphone Cinema is thinking in advance by our Club” said Sandeep Marwah President of the Festival and Marwah Studios.

The initiative we took five years back and it is going to be such a huge business proposition one day, we never knew it. Exhibition of Paintings By Dr.Raja Murlidhar At 4th IFCC

It is the thinking of renowned international Media Personality Sandeep Marwah that fine arts especially the knowledge of Art- Paintings add on to the esthetic sense of film maker. Keeping all that in mind a painting exhibition during 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema was inaugurated at the festival campus at Marwah Studios.

“I am proud to be present with you here at Marwah Studios which is the real hub centre of Art and Culture. My interaction with media students have added to my knowledge on other arts like film making” said Dr Raja Murlidhar, the artist from Chennai whose exhibition received a warm welcome on the opening day.

The chief guest on the occasion N..K. Verma, the General Manager ONGC, Government of India called it a value addition for film makers at festival. “I am ready to promote young talented people who are looking for promotion and they deserve that too”

Next time I am sure more on other Fine Art will be added to this festival” said Dr.Madhukar Gangadhar former Director General Radio, Min. of I&B. “ My association go as back as 18 years with this organization and every time when I come here I find a new department created by Sandeep Marwah” said A.S.Bedi film producer/director.

Signature Music of Festival of Cellphone Cinema Released\




The Sound and Music department of Marwah Studios comprising of students from Asian School of Media Studies and Asian Academy of Film And Television recorded and released the first version of signature tune for the 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema scheduled for 14th and 15th of January 2011 at Noida Film City.

The music has been designed and recorded by students of AAFT and ASMS under the supervision of Rajinder Gandhi renowned sound recordist and HOD Sound Department at the sound studios of Marwah Studios with the help of Radio Noida 107.4FM

“I am trying my best to give students more liberty with sound studios and equipments to develop their creativity in the music and digital sound.” informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

“We have the best sound arrangements for music as well as recording backed by our own Radio Station” said Kalyan Sarkar Dean AAFT and Festival Director. Om Gupta appreciated the efforts of sound department and the students. The tune can be listened on Radio Noida in regular intervals said Brahm Prakash the radio head.

Poster Of 4th International Cellphone Cinema Launched




The excitement at the campus of Marwah Studios is getting higher as the poster of the 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema was released at a function attended by the management, film, television and media students of Asian Academy of Film And Television, Asian School of Media Studies, Asian School of Graphics and Animation Asian Business School, Asian School of Performing Arts at Noida Film City.

We are growing with every festival every year, not only the reach of the festival has grown, but the quality of films, participants and events related to this festival has brought us into lime light” said Sandeep Marwah President of 4th IFCC and Director of AAFT.” We are the first one in this part of the World to project this idea to start Mobile Cinema” Marwah added while releasing the poster.

“I am excited that we are now ready for the seminar, workshop, screening and great gala party for the 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema on 14th and 15th of January” said Kalyan Sarkar Festival Director of 4th IFCC.

All the members of International Film And Television Club, International Film And Television Research Centre, Mahatma Gandhi Forum, International Public Broadcasting Forum, Shakespeare Society, International Children’s Film Forum, Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Forum are invited to this festival informed the organization.

Marwah Studios Venue of 4th International Festival Of Cellphone Cinema



The Governing Council of 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema finalized the world renowned Marwah Studios as the venue of the festival designed from 14th to 15th January 2011 at the fastest growing film city at Noida.

“We have already working hard to make 4th IFCC a real popular festival World wide, I am sure this time we will be able to attract more entries from all over” said Sandeep Marwah well known Asian media personality and president of 4th IFCC.

“With the last experience and so many international and national festivals we have conducted in this complex, Marwah Studios is now very well equipped with all the facilities and provisions of all kinds” said Kalyan Sarkar the festival Director of 4th IFCC.

IFTRC Will Be Part Of 4th International Festival Of Cellphone Cinema




International Film And Television Research Centre established in 1993 to promote film and television education in India has already served and helped many film and television organizations and film makers now joins hand with 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema fixed for 15th -16th January, 2011.

IFTRC will provide all inputs to new and young film makers as how to do the best even in limited resources. “We are consulting all members of IFTRC spread all over the World to promote 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema” said Sandeep Marwah President of IFCC and Director of Asian Academy of Film And Television.
