New Delhi: An interesting Workshop on new techniques of film making, using mobile phones, laptops and web applications, brought by Peter Ferris in his condensed workshop was organized by AAFT University for the students of cinema.

Peter Ferris has been at the forefront of revolutionizing the Film, TV and Music Industry for 30 years. His production company screens and represents actors, runs film making master classes and works with some of the world’s premiere film festivals. He is an award winning film producer and his productions appear at many leading industry film events worldwide each year. Peter has helped launch the professional careers of many well-known actors, actresses and performers and continues to provide screen-acting classes across the UK each month.

“I met Peter last year at Cannes International Film Festival 2019 France, where we were together as part of the jury for first ever Mobile Film Festival at Cannes. We were also part of the award function, where we were honored with the life time achievement award for contribution to Media,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT University.

It is Peter’s recent work to develop smartphone movie making applications that positions him as an technology innovator and entrepreneur who is facilitating new ways in his industry.

“Once recorded it becomes history. I believe that film making should be part of our life and that is why I am promoting easy way of making films. I am happy that Dr. Marwah also believes in the same theory and he is also in film education,” said Peter Ferris. Later the session was followed by question answers.

Satish Kaushik Has All Good Words For AAFT University

Mumbai: Renowned writer, producer and director Satish Kaushik extended his warm welcome to Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University on the opening of new office in Mumbai.

“I am pleased to learn the commencement of AAFT University at Raipur and   now opening of new office in Mumbai for the expansion of activities of AAFT in Mumbai. “Travelling on Delhi Mumbai flight with Sandeep Marwah--a man of vision, hard work, solid results, Game changer in film education in India . He is family to me . Every time I meet him he has new plans and achievements, Proud to be your friend and family Sandeep,” twitted Satish Kaushik.

Satish Kaushik has been associated with AAFT from 1993 and has been visiting  academy now and then. He has been also on the board of the institution.

Satish is famous for his deep involvement in media and entertainment industry and popular for his  films like Mr. India, Roop Ki Rani  Choron Ka Raja, Masoom, Ram Lakhan, Hum Apke Dil Main Rehte Hain and many more.

101th Convocation of Trainees of AAFT


Noida: Dream Comes True-when you talk about 101th convocation of Trainees of AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television. Never ever any institution related to film, television and media celebrated such a marvelous number in the shape of convocation, in the World.

The colorful convocation gowns and symmetrical black gowns of students were creating new energy and buzz in the campus. The excitement of receiving the most prestigious diplomas in media were about to be handed over to the deserving students of AAFT.

“It is a day of double celebration as we have crossed the number of 100 as far as convocation of students of AAFT is concerned. It shows the growth of film business in India and the quality of education we have been delivering from last twenty five years-a quarter century,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of the most popular film school of the Globe.

63 students passing out in this batch after finishing their short term courses in Production Direction, Editing And Sound Recording, Acting And Presentation, Camera And Lighting Technics, Script Writing, Graphics And Animation, Sound And Radio Programs etc. informed Amir Abdullah Director of the institution.

A set of awards was also presented to the topers and to all those students who have done extra ordinary well in extra circular activities round the year. A poster was launched to remember Father of the Nation- Mahatma Gandhi, as it was his Death Anniversary.

“Be truthful to yourself, be honest to your profession, be helpful and supportive, be patriotic and nationalist are few things, which will take you heights. You will be remembered for your humanity,” added Dr. Marwah at the closing function.

Sandeep Marwah Gets Status of Global Cultural Minister


Sandeep Marwah Nominated Global Cultural Minister


Noida: Once again 35 delegates from 27 countries of the World nominated Sandeep Marwah of AAFT as the Global Cultural Minister for his deep involvement in bringing love, peace and unity in the World through art and culture during the Global Peace Summit at Noida Film City.

“I have yet to know a person who has worked for more than 140 countries of the World in the field of art and culture-Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios is a man with most exclusive energy. He is an international institution in him self,” said Fatou Faboure Djiba delegate from Senegal during the Global Peace Summit.

“If there is any subject which sounds international then it is Peace. Not many people working seriously on this subject. Bringing people together from all over the World itself is an art and Marwah knows that,” added Mohammad Essa Obaidi delegate from Afghanistan.

“Marwah has earlier also been nominated Global Cultural Minister on different occasion. We all hereby reconfirming his international status today,” said Kavita Bulkoon delegate from Trinidad & Tobago.

“162 Scholarships and 162 film Joint Ventures is beyond the capacity of an individual. By announcing all this Marwah has created another new record,” expressed Youssef Mikhaer Tadrous from Egypt.

Sandeep Marwah is 6 times international record holder. He has invested more than 60000 hours in film, television and media research. He is chairing more than 100 different film, television, media and social organizations with one aim to promote love, peace and unity. He is also the recipient of more than 500 awards from all over the World.

The event was organized by ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and supported by AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television, Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.

The function was attended by foreign delegates from Afghanistan, Senegal, Swaziland, Kenya, Rwanda, Uganda, Ethiopia, Nepal, Cote D’ lvoire, Fiji, Jamaica, Zimbabwe, Vietnam, Nigeria, Tanzania, Madagascar, Liberia, Trinidad & Tobago, Egypt, Guyana, Ghana, Tajikistan, Gabon, Botswana, South Sudan, Cameron and India.

Inauguration of 96th Batch of Asian Academy of Film And Television




Noida: AAFT is the only institution in the World, which could start the 96th session of media training in a span of 24 years of its existence. It seems that we are in education and training for 96 years. It has made us one of the best film school of the World,” said Sandeep Marwah

“I have been noticing from years together the consistence growth of this marvelous institution way back from 1993. AAFT has become a brand in media education,” said Tanvir Zafar Ali from Indian Administrative Services, Government of India while inaugurating the 96th session at Noida Film City.

“The diplomatic community is impressed by the quality work Marwah Studios has put in in media education and developing strong relations between India and other countries especially Ecuador. We will take our relationship to new level from here,” added Patricio Garces Minister & Deputy Head of the Mission, Embassy of Ecuador in New Delhi.

“I am indebted to my institution, which has trained me so well and now I am the most popular journalist and filmmaker of Afghanistan. I am here to pay my gratitude to AAFT and specially to Sandeep Marwah for his continuous support,” said Mohibullah Hamid renowned journalist and former student of AAFT from Afghanistan.

An actor Najim Khan look a like of Salman Khan and Zubair Farghand renowned Producer from Afghanistan also spoke on the occasion and motivated the new batch of media students.

Later Sandeep Marwah presented the life membership of World Peace Development And Research Foundation of Marwah Studios to the distinguished guests.

Sandeep Marwah Honored With Pride of Gautam Budh Nagar Award

Noida: The whole administration of Gautam Budh Nagar gathered together to celebrate the twenty years of inception of Gautam Budh Nagar district and to            honor all those who have contributed immensely in the growth of Gautam Budh Nagar District of Uttar Pradesh.

The Member Parliament Noida- Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Member of the Legislative Assembly Noida- Pankaj Singh, Member of the Legislative Assembly Jevar-Dhirendra  Pratap Singh, District Magistrate-B.N.Singh, City Magistrate- Ballia and Superintendent Police-Arun Kumar Singh together presented the most prestigious district award to Sandeep Marwah in a grand function at Hotel Radisson Blue at Noida.

Founder of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios, Asian Academy of Film And Television and five times World Record Holder, Sandeep Marwah has brought the name of Noida to World level. Interaction with 164 countries of the World, 350 association and attracted more than 5 million people to Noida Film City.

Marwah has brought more than 70 international awards to India. He has trained more than 12000 media professional, associated with 4500 television programs, 125 feature films, 5000 training films out of his studios said Hari Om Tyagi the organizer of the program.

World Environment Day Celebrated At Marwah Studios




“It is very important to have a beautiful and healthy environment and that is only possible if you respect and love nature” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios during the conference at Noida Film City with the students of Films, television and media of Asian Business School, Asian Academy of Film And Television and Asian School of Media Studies.

The theme of this year is ‘Forests-Nature At Your Service’-cover one third of the earth’s land mass, performing vital functions and services around the world which make our planet alive with possibilities. In fact, 1.6 billion people depend on forests for their livelihoods. They play a key role in our battle against climate change, releasing oxygen into the atmosphere while storing carbon dioxide.

This year's global host is India which is a country of wide bio-diversity. World Environment Day (WED) is a day that stimulates awareness of the environment and enhances political attention and public action. It falls on 5 June every year as decided by the United Nation.

AAFT Launches New Courses In Films With Specialization




After completion of 18 years in Media, Film and TV education the management of Marwah Studios has decided to launch four new Post Graduate courses in Cinema. The courses are specializations in ‘Film Direction’, ‘Cinematography’, ‘Film Post Production’ and ‘Sound Engineering and Designing’. These courses are along with UGC approved Post Graduate Degree in Mass Communication, Advertising and Journalism.

“The courses have been designed by the experts of Indian Film and Television Industry.” said Sandeep Marwah, president of Marwah Studios and founder of Noida Film City. “There are very few seats in these four courses as the courses are very expensive and backed and supported by Indian Film Industry” Marwah added.

“We are more than satisfied with the training facilities at Asian Academy of Film And Television (AAFT), they know their job” said all committee members when they were approached to comment on these courses including David Dhawan, Basu Chatterrjee, Pankaj Parashar, Boney Kapoor, Ashok Tyagi, and Satish Kaushik.

AAFT and ASMS, Asian School Of Media Studies have proved to the Media World that good education can lead to success in the industry. Academy has the strongest placement cell and some of the finest film and television companies including Ekta kapoor’s Balaji Tele films, Shahrukhkhan’s Red Chillies, Anil Kapoor’s Productions, Boney Kapoor’s BSK Enterprises recently had campus interviews.

The applications for the courses are available at Marwah Studios .The course will begin in first week of August. All applications will be scrutinized by the industry Bigwigs.

Asian School Of Media Studies ASMS Celebrates 2009 Convocation


The atmosphere was charged with emotion and excitement as the black caps were flung in the air amongst cheers at the Convocation at Asian School of Media Studies, one of the most prestigious and popular media colleges of the country. The students of Graduate and Masters studies of ASMS had gathered at the convocation to receive their Diplomas in their chosen stream of specialization. The Diplomas were awarded to the students from the Department of Cinema, Electronic Media, Mass Media and Multimedia. In his Convocation address given in his signatory poetic manner Prof. Sandeep Marwah, Director ASMS, said “No success can be achieved without a spirit of sacrifice. Life teaches you at every step and it is for you to learn from it and boldly face all kinds of circumstances and consequences”. The packed house of students was charged with emotions at these words. There was a sense of loss at leaving the college they had been so proud of.“We at ASMS give an all-round training and education to our students to secure their future.
