Anusha Dandekar Inspires Students at AAFT Orientation 2025

Noida, India — “The mind is everything. What you think, you become.” With this powerful message, Anusha Dandekar, renowned actor, presenter, and singer, addressed the students of the Asian Academy of Film and Television (AAFT) during the Orientation 2025 program at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

Anusha Dandekar, known for her versatile performances in films such as Delhi Belly, Viruddh, Mumbai Matinee, Anthony Kaun Hai?, Lalbaug Parel, and Jai Jai Maharashtra Majha, along with her recent Marathi films Juna Furniture and Baap Manus, shared her journey as an artist in the Indian film and entertainment industry. She spoke about perseverance, self-belief, and adapting to change, motivating students to embrace challenges as opportunities.

Her candid interaction with the students left a lasting impression, as she stressed the importance of authenticity, hard work, and positivity in building a successful career in the entertainment world.

In recognition of her remarkable contribution to cinema and media, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Founder of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University, honoured Anusha Dandekar with the Life Membership of the International Film and Television Club (IFTC) of AAFT.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Marwah said: “Anusha Dandekar is a multifaceted artist who has made her mark across films, music, and television. Her words of wisdom will inspire our students to think creatively, act courageously, and follow their passion with dedication.”

Noida: The city magistrate of NOIDA City Shailendra Kumar Mishra appreciated the working style of the most popular film school of the country-AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television based in Marwah Studios, Film city Noida.

“This is my first visit to Asian Academy of Film And Television. I am impressed by the facilities being provided to the students who come here to learn film and television trade. This is one of the oldest skill development center in Noida,” said S.K.Mishra.

“We have churned out 17000 thousand students from 120 countries of the World, and attracted 1.4 million people from 145 countries of the World. AAFT is now the first film university of the country,” informed Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

Later Sandeep Marwah presented and honored S.K.Mishra with Life Membership of World Peace Development And Research Foundation of Marwah Studios. Jameel Ahmed former Secretary Noida Authority was also present on the occasion.

New World Record of AAFT With 100th Convocation


Noida: AAFT-Asian Academy of Film And Television a Twenty Five year old established film school today has created another World Record with the convocation of 100th batch of its trainees.

“We are so excited that today we have created another international record for our self as we are the only film school in the World who could reach to the 100th convocation,” said Sandeep Marwah President AAFT in the convocation in the presence of august audience.

Dr. Bardinath the Chancellor of Kalinga University, Dr. Jagannath Vice Chancellor of ICFAI University, H.E. Rabie Narsh Ambassador of Lebanon to India, H.E. Michael A N N Oquaye High Commissioner of Ghana to India, Anil Khaitan Immediate Past President of PHDCCI, Padam Shree Sumitra Guha renowned Vocalist, Padam Shree Pratibha Prahlad renowned dance exponent and Jyoti Kailash Senior IAS officer were witness to the history being written.


Asian Academy of Film And Television has so far churned out more than 13000 media professionals hailing from all the 29 states and seven union territories of India and 120 countries of the World in last 100 batches of trainees.

Noida: ASMS-Asian School of Media Studies planned a farewell get-together for the students of 2016-18 batch of masters in Cinema and 2015-18 Undergraduate Batch in Cinema at Marwah Studios.

“We are proud of our students. Not only they have educate and trained themselves for the film and television industry but also learned the ways of living a good life. We want them to be good human beings first and then perfect professional,” said Sandeep Marwah President ASMS while addressing the students of cinema on the farewell day.

“The life is full of competition and there is only survival of the fittest. You must keep on reading and learning your subject. The continuous efforts always pay in life,” added Marwah blessings the young aspirants.

The event was followed by cultural evening, cake cutting ceremony, presentation of awards and a networking session. The director ASMS Amir Abdullah, Dean ASMS Vikas Singh, HOD Cinema Arfa Rajput also spoke on the occasion.

New Delhi: A colorful presentation of 25 years of cable and broadcasting business in India was projected by the Aavishkar Group at Hotel Lalit followed by the 9th Edition of BCS Rattna Awards to some of the most prominent persons of the industry.

The award was bestowed upon internationally known media person Sandeep Marwah who was there to receive his award personally at the mega event designed by Dr. A.K. Rastogi.

Noida: The most popular film and Television training centre of the country of India – Asian Academy of Film And Television inaugurated its 99th Batch at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

“We are one batch away from the Century, the excitement level has gone much higher. Many new ideas are prevailing in mind and heart. We have proved to the World that we are the best. Running 99 batches have given us a research content for 99 times. We have learned what is good what is not required. The success of our students is the clear proof,” said Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT as a opening statement of inaugural program.

“AAFT has brought the name of India to the highest level in film and television training. We are proud of Sandeep Marwah.  Dadasaheb Phalke Film Foundation Award to Sandeep Marwah is the indication of quality in education,” said Dr. Yogendra Narain former Secretary Rajya Sabha, Government of India while lighting the ceremonial lamp.

“The growth of AAFT from single college to University is the measurement stick for the opinion makers to assess the quantity and quality of the success,” added Syed Shahid Mehdi the former Vice President of ICCR, Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India.

More than 500 awards, chairing 100 organizations, 33 years in media, 25 years in training, It is hard to get a mentor like Marwah in film and television training. New Delhi: International Public Broadcasting Forum, International Film And Television Club, International Film And Television Research Centre, International Children’s Film Forum, International Women Film Forum and many other organizations where Sandeep Marwah has been chair for, all these organizations are working for the promotion of Education, Art and Culture and have supported residents of Bihar at one or other time.

Recently Sandeep Marwah was honored by Shri Shiv Pratap Shukla Union Minister of State, Ministry for Finance, Government of India for running most cost effective film school in the World. He has churned out 12000 media professionals from all the states of India including Bihar and 120 countries of the World. Citation read by Sewak Rajeev Kumar.

“Noida Film City is the fastest growing film city in the World with approximately 17000 Media professionals working in 3 shifts of 8 hours each and cascading effect is that 150,000 people earning their bread because of this film city including many from Bihar. Sandeep Marwah is the founder of this city,” added Sewak Rajeev Kumar President of the Association.

AAFT and the High Commission of Canada celebrate National Canadian Film Day 2018



 
National Canadian Film Day Celebrated at AAFT



April.2018, Noida: To mark the fifth annual National Canadian Film Day (NCFD 2018), the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT), hosted a special screening of the film ‘The Sun at Midnight’ for students in their Noida campus today. Celebrated every year on April 18, this is the first time that the National Canadian Film Day has been celebrated in India. 

Organized in partnership with the High Commission of Canada in India, the spotlight for NCFD 2018 is on Canadian Indigenous cinema and women filmmakers. This theme is a reflection of the Government of Canada’s focus on promoting women’s rights and diversity and inclusion. 

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Soyoung Park, the Deputy High Commissioner for Canada to India said, “I am very happy to be here today as we celebrate National Canadian Film Day. We are pleased to hold this special screening at AAFT. It is a great opportunity to promote Canadian cinema and Canadian values around gender equality and inclusion.” 

“We extend our greetings to Ms Soyoung and Candian High Commission for the confidence extended toward us. We will work together and support Canadian High Commission for their motive of Promoting Women’s Rights. International Women’s Film Forum will join us to be part of our activities,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. 

The Sun at Midnight, directed by a brilliant woman director, Kirsten Carthew, is set in the Canadian Arctic. The film tells the story of an unexpected friendship between a First Nations hunter and a teenage rebel.

Noida: The new session of Asian Academy of Film And Television was inaugurated with great pomp and show at the campus of Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.

“Positive thinking will help you to shaken up the universe.  You have to be honest to your work to be a great personality in life. AAFT will provide you the most conducive environment to grow in life and in your respective field,” said Sandeep Marwah introducing the guests of the day.

“The glamorous world of Cinema expects a lot of hard work and acid tests before it gives you name and fame. Never ever get dishearten by the circumstances, as they are momentary. Good training is always been an asset for a filmmaker. It gives you immense confidence to proceed in life,” said Deepak Tijori actor director from Mumbai known for films like Oops, Fareb, Khamosh,Tom Dick And Harry etc.

“One good advice can take you to heights. Sandeep Marwah encouraged me to start my own business that is film making which is now my passion. When you love your profession you can overcome all the hindrances,” added Rahul Mittra Film Producer of films like Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster, Bullet Raja, Revolver Rani etc. and CEO WAVE Cinemas.

“Ten years back I prayed lord to be a guest of honor at Marwah Studios in one of the film functions, today I am here with you. Positive thinking does matter. I have proved that if you love you can get it,” said Rajiv Gupta an actor famous for his roles in Fukrey Returns, Jolly LLB, Hindi Medium, Bullet Raja etc.

Workshop by Spanish Film Maker at AAFT




Noida: AAFT School of Cinema had seen another interesting program when a filmmaker from Spain expressed his way of film making and shared a wonderful experience in the shape of a workshop at Marwah Studios.

“A well-known film maker David Canovas from Spain is now part of our foreign faculty. His deep interest in film teaching has benefited the students of school of cinema today,” said Sandeep Marwah handing over the life membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT to the Spanish filmmaker.

“I am pleased to be associated with AAFT- a well-known brand in media education. It has given me an opportunity to be associated with Indian Film Industry,” said David Canovas accepting the membership.

An interesting questions and answer session with students brought many new points on the table. Henna Anzi, a filmmaker from Israel, conducted the workshop. Later Marwah also discussed other opportunities available to promote Indo Spanish Film And Cultural Forum of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry.

Convocation of Trainees of 95th Batch of AAFT

Noida: More than 100 students accepted their prestigious diploma on the 95th Convocation of Asian Academy of Film And Television at Noida Film City in a program organized by Marwah Studios in association with Indian Skills Development Council.

“We are now associated with Indian Skills Development Council and ISDC has approved all our courses of short term which are only meant for skill development. I am proud of my students who all have learned so well that they will not have any problem in being adopted by the industry,” said Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios.


AAFT has emerged as the best film school in this part of the World. No film institute can provide so much of education and training in such a short period of time and so cost effective. Students of AAFT are the best,” added Harsh Vardhan former chief engineer Doordarshan, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.

“I am amazed by the facilities provided by the school to film students. Not only that they are large but latest too,” said Roderick D Harding. “ I had the opportunity to work with the students of this institution, I can watch for the quality education in this film school,” said Shajia Shojaei a filmmaker from Afghanistan.

Simi Harding spoke about the American affiliation with Asian Academy of Film And Television and exchange program with American Universities. Prof Kalyan Sarkar Dean AAFT and Satish Anand Dean Acting also spoke on the occasion.

International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Indian Skill Development Council supported the event.

Sandeep Marwah Invited Shankardass to India

Sandeep Marwah had a special meeting with AVT Shankardass in London and invited him to Delhi for further talks. He has already been associated with Asian Academy of Film And Television.

AVT Shankardass is a motion picture financier and producer. His films include, Captain America: The First Avenger (Chris Evans), Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol (Tom Cruise) and Superman: Man of Steel (Henry Cavill).

Shankardass worked in theatre as a director in London and Edinburgh. After a brief transition into film directing with Praying for Pay, The Commuters and The Stepmother, he moved to film production. He joined Victory Productions, UK-based Film Finance Corporation, as Head of Motion Picture and produced The War Zone and A Fortune Teller Told Me. He also wrote and developed ‘Saffron’, ‘A Drop of Life’ and ‘Noor’.

 Later, as CEO & Managing Director of Victory Productions, he financed successful films such as K-19: The Widowmaker (Harrison Ford & Liam Neeson), and Femme Fatale (Antonio Banderas) and produced Spy Game (Brad Pitt), Alexander (Colin Farrell), Fly Boys (James Franco), Johnny Was (Vinnie Jones) and Ball & Chain (Kal Penn). He was also a screenwriter with Tomhawk Entertainment and Warner Bros for 5 years.

Indo Peruvian Film And Cultural Forum Extends Its Wings




New Delhi: ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry has recently announced a film festival of films from Peru to be screened at Noida Film City, informed Sandeep Marwah President of the Chamber at a grand function of opening of Peruvian art gallery at Vasant Vihar.


Indo Peru Film And Cultural Forum in Association with AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television will soon have a festival of Peruvian Films to promote cultural relations between two countries India And Peru,” said Sandeep Marwah.

We will support the event and would like to be part of the same. Embassy of Peru in India will appreciate the efforts of ICMEI and Indo Peru Film And Cultural Forum,” said H.E. Jorge Juan Castañeda Mendez Ambassador of Peru to India.

Satpal Maharaj Minister for Art And Culture, Government of Uttrakhand who emphasized on the designing of more events where large number of Indians and Peruvians can participate together, inaugurated the art gallery.

The Member Parliament Noida- Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Member of the Legislative Assembly Noida- Pankaj Singh, Member of the Legislative Assembly Jevar-Dhirendra  Pratap Singh, District Magistrate-B.N.Singh, City Magistrate- Ballia and Superintendent Police-Arun Kumar Singh together presented the most prestigious district award to Sandeep Marwah in a grand function at Hotel Radisson Blue at Noida.

Founder of Noida Film City, Marwah Studios, Asian Academy of Film And Television and five times World Record Holder, Sandeep Marwah has brought the name of Noida to World level. Interaction with 164 countries of the World, 350 association and attracted more than 5 million people to Noida Film City.

Marwah has brought more than 70 international awards to India. He has trained more than 12000 media professional, associated with 4500 television programs, 125 feature films, 5000 training films out of his studios said Hari Om Tyagi the organizer of the program.

94th Edition of AAFT Festival Inaugurated
Noida: 94th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films is inaugurated with much international participation at Marwah Studios highlighting 15 short films made during the last semester of Asian Academy of Film And Television.

“It is a historical day and we are creating a World Record of conducting 94th AAFT Festival of Short Digital Films. The first festival in the World to touch 94th edition, happens four times in a year, showcased 2300 directors debut short films in last 24 years,” introduced the festival by Sandeep Marwah President Marwah Studios.

“It is like a dream to plan, design and conduct 4 editions of the festival in one single year and reaching to 94th edition in 24 years of its existence, three cheers to Sandeep Marwah an international media Guru,” said Isaiah Anthony a writer and motivator from Nigeria at the inauguration of the festival.

“I am well travelled and have been to many film schools of the World. No single institute can be compared to the activities of AAFT. The syllabus and training program offered by AAFT is the best so far in the World,” said Mike Berry a filmmaker and jury member of the best festivals like Cannes, Berlin, New York, etc.

The exposure and contacts what you can develop in a film school like AAFT is unbelievable. No film school organizes a festivals of this grandeur to promote their students,” said Hari Om Dhaiya President Royal Commonwealth Society.

Arun Arora of cultural organization Udan emphasized on the social subjects of the film. Prafulla Ketkar Editor of 70-year-old magazine Organizer talked about unique ideas for the films, Anju Kamal Kant Municipal Councilor, Dr. V. K. Goswami former Vice Chancellor and Satya Bhushan Jain also spoke on the occasion.

Sandeep Marwah Honored for Green India Projects




New Delhi: “Being a part of Clean India Movement which became the first National campaign of Prime Minister of India and was launched on 2nd October 2014 it self is a great achievement,” said Bhu Tyagi in a jam-packed Mavlankar Hall at Constitution Club at New Delhi celebrating World Environment Day.

Marwah has created and associated with many Environment and Climate committees in number of organizations including AAFT, ICMEI, ICOI, PHD, ASSOCHAM, IHRO, and working hand in hand with United Nations Information Centre. He has been nominated patron to Indian Federation of United Nation Associations added Mukesh Sharma.

Marwah has created 543 committees in NFTC- National Federation of Tourism and Transport Cooperatives of India Limited and dealing with 543 parliamentarians to remind them about Clean India, Green India, Clean Ganga and many other projects to make India beautiful.

Marwah was honored with a memento for his untiring works in Environment and save the Mother Earth. Later Sandeep Marwah also presented awards to the members of the Municipal corporations present there.

BRICS International Forum (BRICS-IF) is a socio, economic, political centre working amongst BRICS nations (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) with a goal to initiate people-to-people dialogue. It is the first independent international public organization, working towards creating a structured social, economic and environmentally sustainable BRICS bloc with support from a network of governmental and non-governmental organizations.

New Delhi: A powerful seminar to celebrate the World Environment Day was organized by International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with United Nation Information Centre and Indian Federation of United Nation Associations at AAFT, Noida Film City.

Warren Harrison a filmmaker from United Kingdom emphasized that schools and colleges must take an initiative to teach the students about the importance of environment so that they churn out to be responsible citizens of their country.

Renowned actress Priyanka Kothari appreciated the efforts and said that these kinds of events should be the continuous process to teach young and old to love mother earth to have pleasing environment.

Padmini  Parameswaran from Teesside University, J.P.Singh Director India Skill Development Council, J.S.Saluja Secretary Association of Asian Union, Dr. K.D. Gupta Chairman Environment Committee ICMEI, Bharti Tanrja renowned beautician, Priyanka Sharma Secretary ICOI, Babeetta Sakxena Secretary International Children’s Film Forum, Prof. Mansoor Naqvi Associate Dean AAFT also spoke on the occasion.

 Gurbir Khera of AAU,  Sushil Bharti of Radio Noida, Deepak Parvityar of IFUNA, S.S.Dogra Journalist, Purnima Anand President of BRICKS also participated in the conference. Later Marwah honored all the speakers with memento of the session.
