Sandeep Marwah In World Book of Records London

Sandeep Marwah Honoured by World Book of Records London

Dubai: Renowned media person Sandeep Marwah president of Marwah Studios and founder of Noida Film City gets included in the World Book of Records London for being founder of Noida Film City-the fastest growing film city in the World.

“It was in  December 1986 I submitted the project to UP Government. December 1987 the film city got its clearance from the state capital Lucknow  and !988 allotments were made. Government gave us three years’ time to build up the infra structure and to come into production. We were originally six, then twelve and            now total sixteen players in film city,” recollected Sandeep Marwah while narrating the story of making of Film City in North India.

“We have gone through tough times. There was no culture of cinema and film production. It has been thirty years  we are managing the film city with our own resources and efforts. Today we have created a World Record,” added Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and founder of Noida Film City.

Now Noida Film City is the fastest growing film city in the World. 100 acre complex 75 outdoors and 25 indoors. There are 16 players  and 350 channels are being broadcast from these studios to 162 countries 24 by 7. Around 17000 media professionals are working   from here in 3 shifts of eight hours each- is the World Record now. The cascading effect is that around hundred thousand people are earning their bread because of film city.

The Record certificate  was presented  to Sandeep Marwah on his official visit to Dubai by Dr. Jitendra Matlani  Vice President World Book of Records in a function at Hotel Oberoi at Business Bay Dubai UAE. Dr Sandeep Marwah was congratulated by Shri Santosh Shukla, Supreme court Advocate (President & CEO World Book of Records) and many dignities present there.

World Book of Records is one of the leading organizations in international certification. Its primary objective and goal is to Records, Honour, Listing and appreciate, authenticate and adjudicate events which can be termed as activities of world standard. Since its inception in the year 2017 it has spread its wings and it is working with global presence in Europe, North America, South America, Africa, Asia and Australia.

London: “It was in 1986 December when I submitted the project of Noida Film City to Noida Authority as there was no one in Delhi to listen to me. I knew it that it was difficult to look for 100 acres in Delhi, thank God I opted Noida,” Sandeep Marwah founder of Noida Film City started talking to young journalist on his favorite subject- Films, sitting back in the lobby of Hotel Ritz, Piccadilly, London.

“We were six and then twelve   and now sixteen players in this film city who managed to get allotment in twenty-five acres of indoor planning of film city Noida. It is sad that many people  to whom we brought with great persuasion they have resigned from the board including Boney Kapoor, Tutu Sharma, F.C. Mehra, Pooranchand Rao, L.V. Prasad, Yash Chopra, Vinod Pandey, B. L. Sobti, Pooran Sarin without realizing the importance of Noida Film City,” added Sandeep Marwah. I knew that Sandeep has been honored hundreds of time for his untiring contribution to this industry.

“We are on the World map of cinema today. More than 350 Channels are being broadcast to 162 countries 24 by 7. Approx. 17000 media professionals are working here in three shifts of 8 hours each. The cascading effect is that more than Hundred and Fifty thousand people are earning their bread because of film city. I am happy I could do something for the nation, and definitely for media and entertainment industry,” said Marwah emotionally.

Thirty years back I gave one word to English dictionary i.e. Film Tourism and nobody paid heed to what I said, today every country is talking about film tourism. You know that Noida film city has already attracted more than two million tourists under film tourism from all over India and 145 countries of the World. Marwah looked up as if thanking God for listening to him.

Today Noida Film city is the home to the first Professional Film Studios of North India- Marwah Studios. It is the base to first private film school of the country Asian Academy of Film And Television. It is the ground for four biggest international events Global Film Festival, Global Festival of Journalism, Global Literary Festival and Global Fashion week. Who’s who of the World has already been here.

Marwah with little hesitation uttered that I have been honored with seven honorary Doctorates for being founder of Noida Film city. I am still the spokesperson of this tiny city with almost 75 acres as outdoors also.Long way to go I said.

Farida Malik of AAFT Now International Star

New Delhi: AAFT School of Performing Arts welcomed alumna Farida Malik who has created a wonderful niche for herself in light music and stage performance.

A long experience in music and stage performances Farida Malik thanked school for grooming her in arts and crafts at Marwah Studios during her stay at Noida. “I am so happy to be back at AAFT, and ready for the show at Marwah Studios very soon,” said Farida planning a show at Noida Film City.

Farida Malik has finished her series of shows at Kathmandu and other cities in Nepal recently. She will be performing in India soon. AAFT has decided to honor Farida for her deep involvement in music.

“After creating name for herself in USA Farida has done well in Nepal, next is India. She must be given a pat on her back for crafting wonderful name for AAFT,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT.

AAFT and the High Commission of Canada celebrate National Canadian Film Day 2018



 
National Canadian Film Day Celebrated at AAFT



April.2018, Noida: To mark the fifth annual National Canadian Film Day (NCFD 2018), the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT), hosted a special screening of the film ‘The Sun at Midnight’ for students in their Noida campus today. Celebrated every year on April 18, this is the first time that the National Canadian Film Day has been celebrated in India. 

Organized in partnership with the High Commission of Canada in India, the spotlight for NCFD 2018 is on Canadian Indigenous cinema and women filmmakers. This theme is a reflection of the Government of Canada’s focus on promoting women’s rights and diversity and inclusion. 

Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Soyoung Park, the Deputy High Commissioner for Canada to India said, “I am very happy to be here today as we celebrate National Canadian Film Day. We are pleased to hold this special screening at AAFT. It is a great opportunity to promote Canadian cinema and Canadian values around gender equality and inclusion.” 

“We extend our greetings to Ms Soyoung and Candian High Commission for the confidence extended toward us. We will work together and support Canadian High Commission for their motive of Promoting Women’s Rights. International Women’s Film Forum will join us to be part of our activities,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios. 

The Sun at Midnight, directed by a brilliant woman director, Kirsten Carthew, is set in the Canadian Arctic. The film tells the story of an unexpected friendship between a First Nations hunter and a teenage rebel.

Indo Canadian Film And Cultural Forum of ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry supported the event at Noida Film City.
