Film Workshop by Peter Ferris at AAFT University





New Delhi: An interesting Workshop on new techniques of film making, using mobile phones, laptops and web applications, brought by Peter Ferris in his condensed workshop was organized by AAFT University for the students of cinema.

Peter Ferris has been at the forefront of revolutionizing the Film, TV and Music Industry for 30 years. His production company screens and represents actors, runs film making master classes and works with some of the world’s premiere film festivals. He is an award winning film producer and his productions appear at many leading industry film events worldwide each year. Peter has helped launch the professional careers of many well-known actors, actresses and performers and continues to provide screen-acting classes across the UK each month.

“I met Peter last year at Cannes International Film Festival 2019 France, where we were together as part of the jury for first ever Mobile Film Festival at Cannes. We were also part of the award function, where we were honored with the life time achievement award for contribution to Media,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of AAFT University.

It is Peter’s recent work to develop smartphone movie making applications that positions him as an technology innovator and entrepreneur who is facilitating new ways in his industry.

“Once recorded it becomes history. I believe that film making should be part of our life and that is why I am promoting easy way of making films. I am happy that Dr. Marwah also believes in the same theory and he is also in film education,” said Peter Ferris. Later the session was followed by question answers.

Satish Kaushik Has All Good Words For AAFT University

Mumbai: Renowned writer, producer and director Satish Kaushik extended his warm welcome to Sandeep Marwah Chancellor AAFT University on the opening of new office in Mumbai.

He is family to me . Every time I meet him he has new plans and achievements, Proud to be your friend and family Sandeep,” twitted Satish Kaushik.

Satish Kaushik has been associated with AAFT from 1993 and has been visiting  academy now and then. He has been also on the board of the institution.

Satish is famous for his deep involvement in media and entertainment industry and popular for his  films like Mr. India, Roop Ki Rani  Choron Ka Raja, Masoom, Ram Lakhan, Hum Apke Dil Main Rehte Hain and many more.

10th BSC Ratna Award For AAFT University of Media And Arts


AAFT  University of Media And Arts Honored


New Delhi: Sandeep Marwah Founder and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media And Arts honored with BSC Ratna Award for launching the first film University of the country. The award was announced on 6th June at Hotel Lalit and presented by the India's Minister of State for Human Resource Development Dr. Satyapal Singh.

The BCS Ratna Awards are presented annually by Aavishkar Media Group to recognize the contributions of personalities from the Broadcasting, Digital Media, Media Education, Ad Agencies, Distribution, Technology, DTH, CATV, Broadband, OTT and IPTV industry.

“Launched in 2010, the BCS Ratna Awards are the most significant & celebrated event of Indian B&CS industry. As the industry is on the cusp of big transformation because of the implementation of programmes like ‘Digital India’ by our Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” said Anurag Rastogi the organizer of the awards.

“I am thankful to Minister of Human Resources Development and Dr. A Rastogi for honoring us as First Film University of the country,” thanked Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

AAFT Congratulates Boney Kapoor for National Award to Sridevi


AAFT Congratulated Boney Kapoor


New Delhi: AAFT –Asian Academy of Film And Television congratulate to Boney Kapoor for receiving National Award from the President of India H.E. Shri Ram Nath Kovind at the most prestigious hall of India at Vigyan Bhawan.

The award of Sridevi Kapoor was presented over to Boney Kapoor for the title Best Actress for the feature film MOM. Boney Kapoor with his two daughters Jhanvi and Khushi received the Ntional Award.

“We are proud of Late Sridevi for her deep involvement in promoting cinema. She was the only actress to perform in 300 films in 6 languages. Her films are collection items for film lovers and training material for new comers,” said Sandeep Marwah invited as a special guest at Vigyan Bhawan.

The Minister of Information And Broadcasting, Government of India Col. Rajyavardhan Singh Rathore, Member Rajya Sabha Amar Singh also congratulated Boney Kapoor. Sridevi was on the board of AAFT and had contributed a lot to the cinema studies.

98th Batch of AAFT Inaugurated at Marwah Studios

Noida: The new session of Asian Academy of Film And Television was inaugurated with great pomp and show at the campus of Marwah Studios at Noida Film City.

“Positive thinking will help you to shaken up the universe.  You have to be honest to your work to be a great personality in life. AAFT will provide you the most conducive environment to grow in life and in your respective field,” said Sandeep Marwah introducing the guests of the day.

“The glamorous world of Cinema expects a lot of hard work and acid tests before it gives you name and fame. Never ever get dishearten by the circumstances, as they are momentary. Good training is always been an asset for a filmmaker. It gives you immense confidence to proceed in life,” said Deepak Tijori actor director from Mumbai known for films like Oops, Fareb, Khamosh,Tom Dick And Harry etc.

“One good advice can take you to heights. Sandeep Marwah encouraged me to start my own business that is film making which is now my passion. When you love your profession you can overcome all the hindrances,” added Rahul Mittra Film Producer of films like Sahib Biwi Aur Gangster, Bullet Raja, Revolver Rani etc. and CEO WAVE Cinemas.

“Ten years back I prayed lord to be a guest of honor at Marwah Studios in one of the film functions, today I am here with you. Positive thinking does matter. I have proved that if you love you can get it,” said Rajiv Gupta an actor famous for his roles in Fukrey Returns, Jolly LLB, Hindi Medium, Bullet Raja etc.

Convocation of 70th Batch of Trainees At AAFT




Training under a real media guru has raised the level of not only the education and training at AAFT but uplifts the altitude of humanity in each and every young film, TV and media aspirant.” said Lalit Bhasin a renowned Supreme Court lawyer and Chief Guest on the convocation of 70th batch of trainees of AAFT at Noida Film City.

“Love and adore all arts be it paintings, sculptures, music, singing, dance, drama or writing in case you want to grow in Cinema which carries all arts into its stream” said Jatin Das a renowned International painter motivating passing out students.

“If two meetings with Sandeep Marwah can convert me from Chartered Accountant to writer, you are lucky to be in this institute and can do wonders in media” articulated Rajiv Soni from the dice of AAFT. Social worker and politician Pawan Verma said, “We at Uttar Pradesh feel proud that AAFT is being operated from this state and is an International seat of learning.

Dr D.M. Mahajan a dermatologist offered his services to all the acting students to rectify their looks for better presentation and Syed Ahmed Ali assured the technical students to join his channel for better prospects.

Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Forum Joins Hand With 4th Festival Of Cellphone Cinema




Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru Forum the newly constituted organization under the banner of Marwah Studios a creative Enterprises will also join hands with the 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema planned and designed for 14th and 15th of January 2011 at Noida Film City.

The Pt.Jawaharlal Nehru Forum has been created to promote the ideology of late Prime Minister of India—Progress and Prosperity, Promotion of Children, Participation and Cooperation and Positive Thinking. “ I have been a strong believer of this ideology and work on these terms” said Sandeep Marwah the Chairperson of Pt. Never Forget Your Base –Salman Khurshid At AAFT

“Teachers are the best guide, believe them they are your path makers. A good education not only educate and train you but also built up the character and personality of the student” said Salman Khurshid union minister of state for Corporate Affairs and Minority Affairs, Government of India while giving the valedictory address to the passing out media students of the 68th batch of Asian Academy of Film And Television at Noida Film City.

Asian Academy of Film And Television conducted 600 hours of training program and invited 70 film and television professional and personalities, had 34 interactions, workshops, seminars, symposiums, festivals, film events, shows, releases, etc. during 68th batch. More than 100 training films have been made in association with Marwah Productions in this batch informed Prof. Gurbir Grewal Additional Director, AAFT.

“We have left no stone unturned to bring media education to an international level. With the completion of 68th batch we have touched 75 countries of the World and now we are number one institute in the country as far as foreign enrolment is concerned” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of AAFT.

Salman Khurshid handed over the prestigious Diploma of AAFT to 76 students hailing from all over India and countries like Ghana, Nigeria, Greece, Netherland, Bhutan etc this time. Others who spoke on the occasion were Prof. R.K.Singh Dean Asian School of Media Studies, Prof. Satish Annd Dean Asian School of Performing Arts, Dr.Akhilesh Sharma and Prof. Kalyan Sarkar Dean AAFT paid formal vote of thanks. Veteran And Talented Actor Kiran Kumar At AAFT




“Acting is like a prayer, and preparation for it is like devotion” said veteran Actor Kiran Kumar who started his carrier under his father’s blessings, Jeevan who happens to be renowned actor himself. “Believe in yourself and give your self totally to your director with full faith” he added. “Respect your teachers, your institution and your parents, their blessings can take you to any heights” Kiran said while answering the questions of young actors learning at Asian School of Performing Arts at AAFT.

“It is our proud privilege that a very talented actor is giving life time experience notes to our students of Performing Arts.” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah studios and Director of Asian School of Performing Arts while handing over life membership of International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy of Film And Television to Kiran Kumar.

Kiran Kumar a Filmfare award winner has already worked in more than 80 Gujrati Films, 400 Hindi Feature Films including Julie, Aisi Deewangi, LOC Kargil, Aandhi, Junoon, Gaddar, Khuda Gawah, Henna, and 5500 episodes of different serials already telecasted at every popular channel .He is running his own event management company and a well known production house.

The film and television students were more than happy to interact with the film personality at length. The event was attended by the deans and faculties of the school and supported by International Film And Television Research Centre, Radio Noida and IPBF.

AAFT Launches New Courses In Films With Specialization




After completion of 18 years in Media, Film and TV education the management of Marwah Studios has decided to launch four new Post Graduate courses in Cinema. The courses are specializations in ‘Film Direction’, ‘Cinematography’, ‘Film Post Production’ and ‘Sound Engineering and Designing’. These courses are along with UGC approved Post Graduate Degree in Mass Communication, Advertising and Journalism.

“The courses have been designed by the experts of Indian Film and Television Industry.” said Sandeep Marwah, president of Marwah Studios and founder of Noida Film City. “There are very few seats in these four courses as the courses are very expensive and backed and supported by Indian Film Industry” Marwah added.

“We are more than satisfied with the training facilities at Asian Academy of Film And Television (AAFT), they know their job” said all committee members when they were approached to comment on these courses including David Dhawan, Basu Chatterrjee, Pankaj Parashar, Boney Kapoor, Ashok Tyagi, and Satish Kaushik.

AAFT and ASMS, Asian School Of Media Studies have proved to the Media World that good education can lead to success in the industry. Academy has the strongest placement cell and some of the finest film and television companies including Ekta kapoor’s Balaji Tele films, Shahrukhkhan’s Red Chillies, Anil Kapoor’s Productions, Boney Kapoor’s BSK Enterprises recently had campus interviews.

“We have given you the best as far as your ambience, infrastructure, Equipment, curriculum, management, workshops, interactions, industry interface, visits, festivals, productions, campus interviews, grooming and other things are concerned, now its your chance to prove your learning and its utilization in the industry” added Marwah.

“More than 500 hours of education and training in each discipline in short term courses and 1800 hrs in one year can make you a good start in the film and TV industry” said R.K.Singh the former Engineer in Chief, Doordarshan. “We will be pleased to see your names in the credit list of TV programs and feature films that will be our reward” said Harshvardhan, the Course Director of AAFT.

The atmosphere was charged with emotion and excitement as the black caps were flung in the air amongst cheers at the Convocation at Asian School of Media Studies, one of the most prestigious and popular media colleges of the country. The students of Graduate and Masters studies of ASMS had gathered at the convocation to receive their Diplomas in their chosen stream of specialization. The Diplomas were awarded to the students from the Department of Cinema, Electronic Media, Mass Media and Multimedia. In his Convocation address given in his signatory poetic manner Prof. Sandeep Marwah, Director ASMS, said “No success can be achieved without a spirit of sacrifice. Life teaches you at every step and it is for you to learn from it and boldly face all kinds of circumstances and consequences”. The packed house of students was charged with emotions at these words.
