12th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema Extended


Noida: On receiving tremendous response of the festival from all over India and abroad, the last date of the submission has been extended to 31st March 2019 as stated by the festival President Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

“We are happy with the amazing response we have received from all over the World for 12th edition of International Festival of Cellphone Cinema started in 2007,” said Prof. Karl Bardosh Master Professor from Kanbar Institute of Film & Television of Tisch School of Arts at New York University.

“We have already persuaded enough to the students of Cinema to be part of this fascinating festival. The response is good and participation is traffic,” added Amir Abdullah Director AAFT School of Cinema.

The festival has picked up very well al over the World and more than 5000 entries we have received till today,”’ said Yogesh Mishra Dean AAFT Short Term Courses.

Workshop by Karl Bardosh on Cellphone Cinema

Noida: A powerful workshop was designed by Dr. Sandeep Marwah father of Cellphone Cinema for the faculty and staff of Asian Education Group at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City by renowned film director Prof. Karl Bardosh who flew down  all the way from New York.

On the occasion of 12th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema 2019, the first ever festival in the World started by Sandeep Marwah, the master professor Karl Bardosh joined from Tisch School of Arts, New York University to support the festival.

Accumulating over 30 years of professional experience in Europe, Asia, Brazil, Hollywood and New York in all genres of film and television, Prof. Karl Bardosh of New York University has been an award-winning director, producer, writer, editor of features, shorts, television series and documentaries. Throughout these years Prof. Bardosh has been a trendsetting pioneer in many areas of film and television. He has also been titled as father of Cellphone Cinema.

25 Countries Participated in Global Cellphone Cinema Summit

Noida: International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship organized Global Cellphone Cinema Summit at Noida Film City.

Sandeep Marwah in the second part of the summit introduced the need of cellphone cinema. “We invite you all to be part of International Festival of Cellphone Cinema also. We are expecting more than 600 films from all over the World. Every one will be given participation certificates and there are many different awards for winners too,” said Marwah.

Being in Film City Noida and Marwah Studios is like dream come true. We could not believe that we will be able to see and meet people like Sandeep Marwah,” said Ms Maria Del Rosario Quinonez Ruiz delegate from Guatemala. “ We have learned the culture of India from Indian films, now we are sharing dice with Father of Cellphone Cinema which is like a dream,” added Khabiba Nazarieva from Tajikistan.

“I am feeling that if we would have not been here our trip would have been incomplete. There is so much to learn from India,” said Ms Winnie Muoki from Kenya. “It is one of my luckiest day that I could have been the part of this summit,” added Mrs Sabrina OmarAbdulla, from Tanzania.


The delegates were representing countries like Afghanistan, Algeria, Ethiopia, Kiribati, Niger, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Botswana, Ghana, Malawi, Nigeria, Swaziland, Uganda, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cote D’ Ivoire, Guatemala, Guinea, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Kenya, Tanzania and India. Later a poster of forth coming 11th edition of festival of cellphone cinema was released by the delegates.

Noida: A grand event was recorded at Noida Film City when International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry organized Global Cellphone Cinema Summit at Marwah Studios in association with Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, Government of India.

“It has been 12 years we have been celebrating International Festival of Cellphone Cinema. The 11th edition is going to be on 12th February 2018. Global Cellphone Cinema Summit is like a curtain raiser to the festival,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

“It is a golden opportunity for all of us to be part of Global Cellphone Cinema Summit in India. Never I have attended an event like this,” said Ms Zarour Assia delegate from Algeria while lighting the ceremonial lamp. “We are here in India for the first time, the culture of India is so inviting that we would love to be back soon,” added Venuste Niyirora from Rwanda.

“GCPC Summit has given us ample knowledge to study further and be a part of the festival next time,” said Greno Wanda delegate from Malawi. “ Indian cinema has always impressed us. We are fond of Hindi films and now we are fascinated by the concept of Cellphone Cinema,” said Ms Adibahon Haitmatova from Kyrgyzstan.

The first session was an introductory session of the summit. Sandeep Marwah was nominated for the Chair and Marwah gave ample knowledge about Print, Radio, Television, Cinema, New Media and Media Education to the participants from all over the World.

The delegates were representing countries like Afghanistan, Algeria, Ethiopia, Kiribati, Niger, Rwanda, Sri Lanka, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, Botswana, Ghana, Malawi, Nigeria, Swaziland, Uganda, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cote D’ Ivoire, Guatemala, Guinea, Kyrgyzstan, Morocco, Kenya, Tanzania and India.

All the delegates presented their views and share their experiences one by one. Radio Noida and MSTV recorded the event. The delegates proposed the name of Sandeep Marwah for the title “Father of Cellphone Cinema”.

Noida: The renowned international media personality Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios honored and titled as “The Father of Cellphone Cinema” by the 44 delegates from 24 Countries of World during Global Cellphone Cinema Summit at Noida Film City.

Sandeep Marwah is the first person to shoot film on cellphone in India around 12 years back. He is also the first person to start the first ever International Festival of Cellphone Cinema in the World.

It was long ago when my friend, Prof. Karl Bardosh from New York and myself shot a film on mobile. it was shot half in Noida and half in New York. Then we also planned a first ever festival of films shot by mobile phone, then no looking back,” said Sandeep Marwah talking to the house full auditorium foreign delegates and film makers from all over India.

International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry organized the Cellphone Cinema Summit in association with Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Skill Development And Entrepreneurship, Government of India. The 11th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema will open on 12th February 2018 along with Global Festival of Journalism.

11th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema Announced


Noida: One of the most unique film festivals of the World-International Festival of Cellphone Cinema will see its 11th edition in the month of February along with 6th Global Festival of Journalism 2018 announced by Sandeep Marwah the President of International Film And Television Club.

“12 years back we thought of starting a short film on mobile, Prof. Karl Bardosh of Tisch School of Arts, New York University, USA  joined hands with us to complete the film  half in Noida and half in New York. Screening of that first film gave us an idea to start a film festival of films made from mobile phone,” said Sandeep Marwah also President of Marwah Studios.

“International Festival of Cellphone Cinema is first of its kind in the World. The scale and grandeur added by Sandeep makes him a show man of the international film industry,” said Prof. Karl Bardosh Master Professor in Tisch School of Arts.

A colorful poster was launched at Marwah Studios to start propagating the entries from all over the World. AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television will be the host of the event said V.S. Kanan Dean AAFT.

4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema Inaugurated

Two days 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema inaugurated here in Noida with the seminar on ‘The Future of Cellphone Cinema’ at Marwah Studios with great pomp and show with the large young enthusiastic audience to know more about this show.

“The International Film And Television Club of Marwah Studios, a creative enterprises has supported the movement of film festivals and film events in this part of the World, 4th IFCC is part of that initiative” said Kalyan Sarkar introducing the festival to all the delegates present from all over India and abroad.

We are committed to the entertainment industry and promoting every segment of this industry is our aim whether it is Education, Research, Events, Festivals, Interactions, Seminars, Production of Films etc. The 4th International Film Festival of Cellphone Cinema is thinking in advance by our Club” said Sandeep Marwah President of the Festival and Marwah Studios.

The initiative we took five years back and it is going to be such a huge business proposition one day, we never knew it. Today I can say this to young audience that they should never hesitate to start a venture with innovative ideas” said Karl Bardosh a producer, director, educator and a film professor from Tisch School of Arts, New York University, USA.

Sanjana Jon a renowned fashion Designer added her full support to the festival and Prof. R.K.Singh expressed that like Global Film Festival this one will also see its bigger scale next year.

Exhibition of Paintings By Dr.Raja Murlidhar At 4th IFCC

It is the thinking of renowned international Media Personality Sandeep Marwah that fine arts especially the knowledge of Art- Paintings add on to the esthetic sense of film maker. Keeping all that in mind a painting exhibition during 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema was inaugurated at the festival campus at Marwah Studios.

“I am proud to be present with you here at Marwah Studios which is the real hub centre of Art and Culture. My interaction with media students have added to my knowledge on other arts like film making” said Dr Raja Murlidhar, the artist from Chennai whose exhibition received a warm welcome on the opening day.

The chief guest on the occasion N..K. Verma, the General Manager ONGC, Government of India called it a value addition for film makers at festival. “I am ready to promote young talented people who are looking for promotion and they deserve that too”

Next time I am sure more on other Fine Art will be added to this festival” said Dr.Madhukar Gangadhar former Director General Radio, Min. of I&B. “ My association go as back as 18 years with this organization and every time when I come here I find a new department created by Sandeep Marwah” said A.S.Bedi film producer/director.

Signature Music of Festival of Cellphone Cinema Released\




The Sound and Music department of Marwah Studios comprising of students from Asian School of Media Studies and Asian Academy of Film And Television recorded and released the first version of signature tune for the 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema scheduled for 14th and 15th of January 2011 at Noida Film City.

The music has been designed and recorded by students of AAFT and ASMS under the supervision of Rajinder Gandhi renowned sound recordist and HOD Sound Department at the sound studios of Marwah Studios with the help of Radio Noida 107.4FM

“I am trying my best to give students more liberty with sound studios and equipments to develop their creativity in the music and digital sound.” informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

“We have the best sound arrangements for music as well as recording backed by our own Radio Station” said Kalyan Sarkar Dean AAFT and Festival Director. Om Gupta appreciated the efforts of sound department and the students. The tune can be listened on Radio Noida in regular intervals said Brahm Prakash the radio head.

Poster Of 4th International Cellphone Cinema Launched




The excitement at the campus of Marwah Studios is getting higher as the poster of the 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema was released at a function attended by the management, film, television and media students of Asian Academy of Film And Television, Asian School of Media Studies, Asian School of Graphics and Animation Asian Business School, Asian School of Performing Arts at Noida Film City.

We are growing with every festival every year, not only the reach of the festival has grown, but the quality of films, participants and events related to this festival has brought us into lime light” said Sandeep Marwah President of 4th IFCC and Director of AAFT.” We are the first one in this part of the World to project this idea to start Mobile Cinema” Marwah added while releasing the poster.

“I am excited that we are now ready for the seminar, workshop, screening and great gala party for the 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema on 14th and 15th of January” said Kalyan Sarkar Festival Director of 4th IFCC.

Indo Nigerian Film Association Will Promote 4th IFCC

INFA Indo Nigerian Film Association has agreed to support the forthcoming 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema fixed for 14th and 15th of January 2011 at Noida Film City.

“It is a very unique kind of festival where we expect film maker to use mobile phone camera to shoot his film” said Sandeep Marwah President of the 4th IFCC “ we want to promote the sense of film making and instance response within masses to something different which is happening around you” Marwah added.

The two day festival will take place at Marwah Studios at Noida Film City. Any person can join this festival as there is no entry fee. The Governing Council of Indo Nigerian Film Association will also promote this festival in Nigeria and request for the entries from there.

There will be a seminar and workshop on the first day and screening of films their judgement and awards on the second day which will be followed by a gala dinner.

The Governing Council of 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema finalized the world renowned Marwah Studios as the venue of the festival designed from 14th to 15th January 2011 at the fastest growing film city at Noida.

“We have already working hard to make 4th IFCC a real popular festival World wide, I am sure this time we will be able to attract more entries from all over” said Sandeep Marwah well known Asian media personality and president of 4th IFCC.

IFTRC Will Be Part Of 4th International Festival Of Cellphone Cinema




International Film And Television Research Centre established in 1993 to promote film and television education in India has already served and helped many film and television organizations and film makers now joins hand with 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema fixed for 15th -16th January, 2011.

IFTRC will provide all inputs to new and young film makers as how to do the best even in limited resources. “We are consulting all members of IFTRC spread all over the World to promote 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema” said Sandeep Marwah President of IFCC and Director of Asian Academy of Film And Television.

International Festival of Cellphone Cinema has three categories where anybody can submit the entry in one or all including still category, Fiction or music video, and news gathering. The last date of submission is 8th January.AAFT will host the event. (www.aaft.com)

IPBF Joins Hand With 4th International Festival Of Cellphone Cinema


International Public Broadcasting Forum, a body to promote film, television and Radio productions join hands with 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema scheduled for 3rd week of January 2011 at Noida Film City.

The World Record Holder of producing largest number of short films and festival President Sandeep Marwah appointed Kalyan Sarkar as festival Director who is also Dean of renowned film school Asian Academy of Film And Television established in 1993.

ICFF Supports 4th International Festival Of Cellphone Cinema




“International Festival of Cellphone Cinema has been planned by International Film And Television Club in the month of January 2011 to promote new ideas generated by young and new film makers all over the World. This has been the easiest way to express yourself, and highlight your thinking.” said Sandeep Marwah Festival president and Director Asian Academy Of Film And Television.

The organization to promote Children’s Cinema-International Children’s Film Forum will support 4tht IFCC in full swing. All the film Institutes will participate in this festival and 12th class students of all the schools are also invited to participate in this festival.
