11th Global Film Festival Noida Grown Bigger Second Day


Dignities on The Second Day of Global Film Festival


Noida: 44 Events, 54000 footfall, 9 locations, 300 Staff, 12 Months Preparation, 45 countries Global Film Festival has broken all records of excitement and entertainment in two full days at Noida Film City.

“Workshops Seminars, interactions, talks, film releases, film screenings, poster releases, symposiums, competitions, exhibitions, entertainment all at same place was the best combination ever seen,” said H.E. Radu Octavian Dobre Ambassador of Romania to India on the second day opening of 11th Global Film Festival Noida 2018.

“These Film festivals are the best way to showcase your films to the international audience. I have learned that four new film releases have taken place in this festival which is great even at the international standard,” showed keen interest by H.E. Jozef Drofenik Ambassador of Slovenia to India.

“Participation of African countries has added a lot to this festival. Every time the involvement has gone double. Soon we will also have a separate film festival for films from Lesotho,” said H.E. Bothata Tsikoane High Commissioner of Kingdom of Lesotho impressed by the energy of the festival.

Women Empowerment programme attracted many working ladies from all over India who were honored with the life membership of World Peace Development And Research Foundation of Marwah Studios presented by the Ambassadors and High Commissioner. It all happened after the seminar on Women In Cinema.

Aparna Agarwal of International Women’s Film Forum, , Gangeshwar lal Srivastava, Gen Secy, FSSAMU and Shridhar Chari, Producer also spoke on the occasion.

An exhibition of paintings by the students of Asian School of Media Studies, Poster of Shakespeare Forum from AAFT School of Performing Arts, News Bulletin of second day designed by AAFT School of Journalism were released by the guests at the separate stage.

“Seeing the working capacity of Marwah Studios, we have agreed to open the office of Federation at Marwah Studios Complex under the supervision of Sandeep Marwah,” said B. N. Tewari President FWICE- Federation of Western India Cine Employees, an organization of five hundred thousand   Hindi Cinema Workers.

“I am lucky to release my women oriented film Ahilya today with the first screening at Global Film Festival Noida,” said Raju Parsekar Film Director.

“We have grown much bigger.  ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with International Film And Television Club will present another Global Film Festival Next year,” thanked Marwah.

Noida: The most popular film festival of North India-Global Film Festival Noida 2018 is ready with its 11th edition to be held in Noida Film City.

Global Film Festival Noida is one of the most famous and vibrant film festivals of India, which has already touched more than 140 countries participation in last ten years.

The festival covers workshops, seminars, talks, discussions, symposiums, exhibitions, film launchings, film releases, entertainment programs, fashion show, film awards, a grand inauguration and screening of films.

Sandeep Marwah Presented With Patronship of Russian Film Festival


Munich: Renowned Film Maker from India and five times World record holder Sandeep Marwah has been taken on the board of Russian Film Festival as Patron to the organization.

A well-known businessman and Economic Senator of European Economic Senate  Dr. Deepak Narwal who has been the promoter of this festival in Russian flew down all the way from London to honor Marwah in Munich.

“We are proud to be associated with Sandeep Marwah. His is a visionary and executer. He has vast experience in film festivals and film events. His expertise will help us in bringing this festival to World level.’’ said Dr. Deepak Narwal Promoter of festival.

“I am thankful to Dr. Deepak Narwal for bestowing upon me so much of trust and honoring me with the Patron ship of the film festival. I will be more than happy to share my experience of 30 years in Cinema with the promoters and organizers of the   festival,” thanked Marwah.

Students Meet by International Children’s Film Forum

Visit of College Students to ICFF


Noida: ICFF- International Children’s Film Forum has completed more than 1000 film shows to promote good cinema. It has also touched more than 1000 visits of Schools and colleges students on different occasions at Marwah Studios.

“I have put in my best to promote good cinema means healthy cinema, meaningful cinema, films with solid impression on mind to do something good. The numbers have crossed 1000 schools and colleges,” said Sandeep Marwah talking to the students of Mahatma Gandhi University at the campus.

ICFF- International Children’s Film Forum has been part of all the festivals, which have been designed by International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy of Film And Television. ICFF is also working hand in hand with Children’s Film Society of India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India.

We are excited to be here at Marwah Studios and be a part of ICFF. We have learned a lot todat and also carrying a certificate as a life time remembrance of our visit to this unique palace,” said the student leader of the group.

11th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema Announced


Noida: One of the most unique film festivals of the World-International Festival of Cellphone Cinema will see its 11th edition in the month of February along with 6th Global Festival of Journalism 2018 announced by Sandeep Marwah the President of International Film And Television Club.

“12 years back we thought of starting a short film on mobile, Prof. Karl Bardosh of Tisch School of Arts, New York University, USA  joined hands with us to complete the film  half in Noida and half in New York. Screening of that first film gave us an idea to start a film festival of films made from mobile phone,” said Sandeep Marwah also President of Marwah Studios.

“International Festival of Cellphone Cinema is first of its kind in the World. The scale and grandeur added by Sandeep makes him a show man of the international film industry,” said Prof. Karl Bardosh Master Professor in Tisch School of Arts.

A colorful poster was launched at Marwah Studios to start propagating the entries from all over the World. AAFT- Asian Academy of Film And Television will be the host of the event said V.S. Kanan Dean AAFT.

Great Grand Opening of 10th Global Film Festival Noida 2017


10th Global Film Festival Inaugurated at Noida


Noida: The 10th Edition of the biggest film festival of North India –Global Film Festival Noida was inaugurated at Noida Film City. Large number of delegates from India and abroad were the participants.

“We have grown in last ten years, the reach of Global Film Festival Noida has gone to 145 countries of the World. A large cinema library has already been established. We are now part of many countries as far as cinema relations and development is concerned,” introduced Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and GFFN.

“India and Romania are good friends, through cinema and arts we bring our friend ship to new level. Romania has been a part of Indian films already many times we hope these festivals will bring more awareness of each others facilities,” said H.E. Radu Octavian Dobre Ambassador of Romania to India while inaugurating the festivals.

“The excitement and the positive vibrations of the festival are serving the purpose of the event that is love peace and unity through art and culture,” said Donald H Green renowned artist from Australia.

“Film festivals are the best way for a filmmaker to express himself and built up solid contacts.  Youth must be given a right guidance to move further in visual media,” added Gauri Munjal renowned actress from South.

Film Maker Shefali Bhushan Film Maker from Israel Henna Anzi, Filmmaker and Lawyer Anoop Bose, filmmaker and festival Director of GFFN Ashok Tyagi also spoke on the occasion. The festival has 50 events including workshops, seminars, exhibitions, talks, interactions, screenings and entertainment evenings.

 Festival remained in the campus of Marwah Studios at Noida Film City for two days and the third day of the festival saw the Hindi Cinema Samman Samaroh at Vigyan Bhawan. This is the new national award constituted for Hindi Cinema.

Noida: Renowned Spanish filmmaker and Israel Film Maker released a colorful poster of 10th Global Film Festival Noida 2017 to be distributed to the whole World, at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida.

A well known Spanish Film Maker David Canvosa and popular filmmaker from Israel Henna Anzi together released the first poster of one of the biggest film festival of India- Global Film Festival on the invitation of Festival President and Global Cultural Minister Sandeep Marwah.

“It is my honor that I have been given this beautiful opportunity to be a part of an international event at Marwah Studios. I will carry poster back home as a part of my all time memories,” said David Canvosa.

“I am sure about the success of 10th Global Film Festival Noida as I have been also part of this festival earlier. It is one of the most vibrant festivals of the World,” added Heena Anzi congratulating Sandeep Marwah.

Secretary General of ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and Festival Director GFFN and Director Events Haripriya Thakur were also present there.

Results of 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema Declared




The 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema was a super hit not only with the film, television and Media students but also with the common men who were watching films with great interest held at Marwah Studios.

The results were declared in all the categories by the Chairperson of the jury Prof Karl Bardosh who specially flew down to Noida from New York. Speaking on the occasion Prof Karl gave the reference of the films made by his students of cinema at Tisch School of Arts at New York University. The Jury had Prof. kalyan Sarkar, Prof. Mansoor Naqvi, Prof. K.K.Pummi and Prof. V.S.Kanan.

The special jury award in Fiction Category went to film EHSAS by Nandan Ashish. Best Fiction to ‘SLUMDOG IN DANGER directed by Sonali Singh. The special jury mention for documentary ROUNDS ALL ROUNDS US directed by Kayyum Md. Harif Mistry and Best Documentary Award to TIRANGA directed by Kirtiman Singh. Best Message Category to THE GLIMPSES OF UNITY directed by Abhishek Kumar Maurya. Special Jury award in Best Massage category went to ROMANCING THE SKY by Varda Rizvi.

The First Award of still picture went to TARE ZAMEEN PAR by R.K.Shiva, Second to SOLITUDE by Hingul Dutta and Third to REVISITING POTHER PANCHALI by Shubra Ghosh. Special Jury Mention for still awarded to DREAMING EYES by Praveen Singh Chauhan, COMPLICATIONS by Vicky Khandur, MERA JAHAN by Manohar Rao and MEAL TIME FOR POOR & HUNGRY by Hemant. Every body was honored with the Award Certificates and the cash prize by Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios.

International Film And Television club Celebrates 70th Film Festival





IFTC International Film And Television Club of Marwah Studios has finalized the dates of its 70th AAFT festival of Short Digital Films .The festival will take place at the campus of Marwah Studios at Film City Noida the popular venue for many feature films and television serials.

AAFT Festival of short films is the only festival in the World which happens after every three months. It is now an another international record for Sandeep Marwah to be the President of the festival for the 70th times in the last 19 years of its existence where in total more than 1000 short films have been shown submitted by 700 young directors and participation by 9000 media persons of 80 countries of the World.

“I have never believed in awards, rewards or records. I have always believed in generating work and hard work” said Sandeep Marwah. “You keep on working the awards, rewards and records will follow you” added Marwah.

IFTC is supported by International Film And Television Research Centre, International Public Broadcasting Forum, International Children’s Film forum.

Exhibition of Paintings By Dr.Raja Murlidhar At 4th IFCC

It is the thinking of renowned international Media Personality Sandeep Marwah that fine arts especially the knowledge of Art- Paintings add on to the esthetic sense of film maker. Keeping all that in mind a painting exhibition during 4th International Festival of Cellphone Cinema was inaugurated at the festival campus at Marwah Studios.

“I am proud to be present with you here at Marwah Studios which is the real hub centre of Art and Culture. My interaction with media students have added to my knowledge on other arts like film making” said Dr Raja Murlidhar, the artist from Chennai whose exhibition received a warm welcome on the opening day.

The chief guest on the occasion N..K. Verma, the General Manager ONGC, Government of India called it a value addition for film makers at festival. “I am ready to promote young talented people who are looking for promotion and they deserve that too”

Next time I am sure more on other Fine Art will be added to this festival” said Dr.Madhukar Gangadhar former Director General Radio, Min. of I&B. “ My association go as back as 18 years with this organization and every time when I come here I find a new department created by Sandeep Marwah” said A.S.Bedi film producer/director.

Workshop By Sai Paranjpye At Global Film Festival


The renowned film maker Sai Paranjpye popularly known for her contribution to Children’s Cinema including films like The Little Tea Shop , Jadu Ka Shankh ,Begaar , Sikander , Sparsh , Chasme Buddoor , Katha , Ados Pados , Angootha Chhaap , Disha , Chooriyan , Saaz , Bhago Bhoot , Chaka Chak , Suee was invited by International Film And Television Club to have workshop with the film makers at 3rd Global Film Festival Noida

She has been National Award Winner for her film Sparsh for best Screen Play in the year 1980 and Film for social issues Choodiyan in 1993. She has also been recipient of Film Fare Awards.

Sai Paranjpye read her well prepared paper on children’s film. Talking to the Cinema audience and answering to the different questions she confessed that it is difficult today to sell children’s subject without stars and with stars it is unviable that is why she has stopped making movies. Reality is that market for Children’s films is untapped. A middle path has to be adopted.

Sandeep Marwah suggested that, “ time has come when we have to widen the horizon of so called Children’s film .It can be with children and also on the issues of children like Tare Zameen Pe, Mr India, etc which are super hit films”
Khalid Mohamed said, “No body asks for script for children’s film, it may be suitable for television and channels, and that does not serve our purpose”

R.K.Singh persuaded that film maker should not leave the opportunity which he gets from the Government in the form of finance from NFDC or CFSI.
Ashok Tyagi paid vote of thanks to the veterans and suggested animation films can be a wonderful alternative to regular films.

Children’s Film Society India Will Participate in 3rd Global Film Festival.

The 3rd Global Film Festival Noida 2010 promoted by International Film And Television Club of Marwah Studios has welcomed the participation of Children’s Film Society of India, a body of Information and Broadcasting Ministry, Government of India from 12th to 14th November at Noida Film City.

“It is a proud moment for me that my film Aasmaan, produced by Children Film Society, India has been selected for the screening for the main Cinema at 3rd GFF” said renowned film director Pankaj Parashar who promised to be present at the festival for three days.

“I am thankful to Children Film Society, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India for encouraging us for the film festival on the issues of Children” said Sandeep Marwah the festival President and also Chairperson of International Children’s Film Forum formed and framed exactly last year during the 2nd Global Film festival in 2009.

67th Festival of Short Digital Films at Noida Film City




“This is the only festival in India and may be in the World which happens every three months and highlights the experimental work of young film makers” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of Asian Academy of Film And Television while introducing the AAFT’s 67th Festival of Short Digital Films to the excited young aspirants of 68th batch of students from all over the World.

“Filmmaking is the outcome of art blended with feelings from the heart, therefore a lot of emotions have to be inducted in the Cinema” said Santosh Anand, the National Poet and lyrics writer of feature films like Purab Aur Pachim, Prem Agan, Shor, Kranti, Gopichand Jasoos, Tahlka, Roti Kapara Aur Makan etc while inaugurating the festival at Marwah Studios.

“Film Making is a performing art and you can only learn by doing. This is the only institute which gives you ample opportunity to make films at its expense” said Upendra Sood a renowned film maker present on the occasion.

“Film Festivals are the best way to promote films and film makers” said Joyshree Arora the renowned film and TV artist. “A good script can always enhance the value of films” said Parvez Ahmed a well known journalist and President of Press Club of India.

The films which were shown in the festival were ‘The Denouement’ directed by ‘Abhishek Saluja’, ‘Close Friend’ by Lakshasy, ‘To Sir With Love’ by Kalyan Sarkar, ‘Dead Lock’ by Ankur Srivastava, ‘Hope’[Documentary] by Neha Jain, ‘S.S.Swami Iyer’ by Shashan Gupta ‘Dhoka’ by Suchita and ‘Kabuliwallah’ by Jyotika Sinha.

Great Gala Opening Of 2nd Global Festival Of Documentary Films

The Red Carpet became the centre of attraction on the opening of 2nd Global Festival of Documentary films at Film City Noida organized by International Film And Television Club under the president ship of Sandeep Marwah of Marwah Studios a renowned Media, Film and TV personality of this part of the World.

“I have always believe in promoting young and talented film makers by creating an opportunity for them in this beautiful trade” said Sandeep Marwah to the international press gathered along with film makers, participants, who”s who of entertainment industry, film and TV students from all over the World.

A formal inauguration took place by lighting the lamp by the renowned, veteran writer, producer and Director Basu Chatterjee along with film director Pankaj Parashar, Manoj Pahwa the famous actor ,Tarry Parrish of Ice Academy, U.K, film maker Shekh Nasir with Suman Bajaj Kalra festival Director and President of the festival Sandeep Marwah.

The festival started with the scheduled program of screening films in three theatres for the first hour followed by huge list of films to follow. “Not much festivals in India promoting documentaries, this festival is the real breathing to the documentary film makers and that too at this scale” said Basu Chatterjee. “I believe in the management of IFTC. This time Global has touched the documentaries, other wise there are no supporters other than government.” said Pankaj Parashar. “I have come all the way from UK to support Sandeep for his venture we need promoters and people with innovative ideas” said Terry Parrish.

Marwah Studios Will Host Global Festival Of Documentary Films

The enthusiastic staff and members of Marwah Studios took no time in deciding to host the next Global Festival Of Documentary Films to be held in July, 09.” Which place can be better than the Noida Film City and specially Marwah Studios which is the hub centre for film and tv persons and surrounded by the best film companies of the industry” said Sandeep Marwah, the Owner of Marwah Films And Video Studios.

Documentary Film Festival is going to be different as entries are invited from all over the World and there is three different categories of 10 minutes, 20 minutes and 30 minutes .The members of International Film And Television Club have assured the prize of 5000 US Dollars for the best documentaries. A special cell has been created at Marwah Studios to provide complete infrastructure to the festival and specialized people have been appointed to look after the planning and execution of the project.
