105th Annual General Meeting of ASSOCHAM Held at Hotel Taj Mansingh, New Delhi

New Delhi: The Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India (ASSOCHAM) successfully held its 105th Annual General Meeting (AGM) at Hotel Taj Mansingh, New Delhi, bringing together eminent leaders from industry, government, and business to discuss India’s economic outlook and growth strategies.

The prestigious event was graced by Shri Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Government of India, as the Chief Guest. In his keynote address, Shri Goyal lauded ASSOCHAM for its continued role in nation-building and policy advocacy, stating that India’s growth story is powered by innovation, entrepreneurship, and the vision of a self-reliant economy.

Mr. Sanjay Nayyar, President of ASSOCHAM, in his welcome address, spoke about India’s strong economic fundamentals and the Chamber’s commitment to fostering inclusive and sustainable growth.

“The beauty, wellness & personal care market is thriving and one of the fastest growing consumer markets, driven in particular by the Cosmetics and Skin Care segments. The main reason for this strong growth is the generational shift with young consumers entering the market,” added Marwah.

India’s wellness and beauty industry is progressing towards a brighter future with market potential to grow to Rs. 800 billion and is expected to create 7 million jobs.

Sandeep Marwah presented awards to some of the prominent companies and individuals who all have contributed a lot to this trade. Later Dr. Marwah was also honored for his twenty-nine years in glamour business in India.

AAFT Adjudged As Best Media Institute In India By ASSOCHAM




New Delhi:  AAFT has been ranked as the best media institute in the Republic of India by the decision committee of well-known chamber ASSOCHAM and has been honored in a grand function at Hotel Le Meridien at New Delhi during National Education Summit.

Bharat Rattan Pranab Mukerjee the former President of India presented the award to Dr. Sandeep Marwah the founder of Asian Education Group in the presence of large number of dignitaries present from all over India and abroad.

AAFT is 26 year old institution and has churned out 15000 media professionals from all the 29 states 7 Union territories of India and 120 countries of the World.
AAFT has given largest number of celebrities to the country. It is the only institution to declare 196 International scholarships to the deserving students.

AAFT is the promoter of 100 social, art & cultural, films & media organizations and has attracted 1.2 million people to Noida Film City. It is the first promoter of Film Tourism in the World.

Sandeep Marwah Reminded Industry on Piracy Issues

New Delhi: A full day seminar was organized by ASSOCHAM on the subject of Piracy and Intellectual property and invited industry experts from all over India to share their views on different subjects at Hotel Claridges.

Speaking on the occasion Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and AAFT spoke in length on film piracy, which has become a matter of great concern. Giving case studies he expressed that films, music and entertainment industry loose around 18000 crores revenue and 60,000 jobs every year.

 “we are very much concerned about piracy in media and entertainment industry. It has created many restrictions in reaching to new heights. Many measures have been taken but still we need more in the same direction,” said Sandeep Marwah.

Present on the occasion Union Minster of Commerce & Industry and Civil Aviation Suresh Prabhu said that Laws have been imposed, amended and corrected according to the present needs. People have to realize that they will commit mistake by creating piracy. Self discipline in the industry as well as in common man is must other wise law will take its own action,” said Suresh Prabhu who was the chief guest of the day

Sandeep Marwah Addressed ASSOCHAM on Entertainment Industry


Sandeep Marwah Released The Journal on Service Industry


New Delhi: A well known media personality and President of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry Sandeep Marwah was invited by the ASSOCHAM to deliver the key note address on media and entertainment industry at their annual program on “changing Pattern of Services Industry-Opportunities And Challenges” at Hotel Taj Mansingh.

Talking to the audience Sandeep Marwah briefed about the media and entertainment industry and said that we are the biggest film industry in the World and produces nearly 2000 full-length feature films in 28 languages. 12000 theatres and approximately 15 million people watch cinema every year. We sell 5 billion tickets every year and films are touching now a turnover of 15000 crores.

He also talked about print, radio, television, new media, events and media education in India. The session was followed by question answer, which lasted for quite some time.

Sandeep Jajodia President ASSOCHAM welcomed Sandeep Marwah and Ajay Sharma Senior Director ASSOCHAM paid vote of thanks. Later a journal on Service Industry was released by Marwah.

Indian Films Are Well Accepted Abroad -Sandeep Marwah At Focus 2011

New Delhi.9th Sept: .India is the largest film producing country in the World, We produce more than 1000 films in 28 official languages, there are 12000 theatres and 15 million people see cinema every day. We sell 5 billion tickets every year and 3.5 million people are working in this industry” informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios at Focus 2011 at the beginning of the seminar on Indian Film Industry specially planned on the occasion of 58th National Film Awards.

Indian Cinema is well accepted by more than 60 countries and the whole World see Indian Cinema. “Foreign film production houses are finding the Indian film market attractive, according to President Pratibha Devisingh Patil. “Indian movie companies are also going global, finding new markets and deepening their existing presence” she said at 58th National Film Awards function.

“The medium of cinema imposes a great responsibility on everyone associated with the film industry to use the power of cinema to do good for society, through the portrayal of attitudes that help in building a tolerant and harmonious society” said Smt. Prathibha Patil President of India She stated creativity knew no barrier of age and the human spirit had always been striving for excellence.

Later Information and Broadcasting Minister Ambika Soni said the Government had moved forward in setting up the National Film Heritage Mission. The greatest benefit of the mission would be to enable the preservation of invaluable filmic heritage of the country which was an integral part of the socio-cultural.

The year 2013 would mark the centenary year of Indian Cinema as the country’s first indigenous feature film ‘Raja Harishchandra’ by DG Phalke was produced in 1913. This centenary would be a milestone in India’s cinematic journey and needed to be showcased and celebrated.

The fifth Annual International summit on Entertainment and Media Industry is to be organized by one of the oldest chamber- ASSOCHAM. This grand event is once again planned in Delhi. Its first meeting was held at the registered office of ASSOCHAM at Delhi to discuss the main issues including seminars, workshops and interaction programs.

The purpose of starting FOCUS an international event related to media and entertainment industry in Delhi is to add on to the media and entertainment culture and try to bring in industries difficulties on table so that they can be solved with mutual interest and consent” said Sandeep Marwah the President of Marwah Studios and one of the founder members of Entertainment and Media Council of ASSOCHAM.

The meeting was attended by T.P.Agarwal President Film Federation of India, Ajay Sharma Director ASSOCHAM, Roop Sharma President Association of Cable Operator Of India, Anuradha Prasad Managing Director NEWS 24, A Mohan of Zee TV and Others. The meeting was conducted by Sujata Dev the Co-Chairperson of the council.

Indian Film Industry Is Now Global-Focus 2009

3rd Global Summit on Entertainment and Media Focus 2009 of Assocham came to the conclusion that we may be global as far as Indian Film Industry is concerned but still we have to take many measures to be known to rest of the world. Conducting and handling the 3rd seminar of the first day, S.M.Khan, the Director of Directorate of Film festivals of India, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India said “to attract foreign film makers into our festivals Government of India has announced a prize for 40 lacs for the best film, which is highest in the World. The seminar was attended by Madhur Bhandarkar, Ashok Pandit, Mukesh Tyagi, Nevllie Tuli, Hiren Gada, Geetanjali Sehgal and known media personality Sandeep Marwah.

The show stopper was Sandeep Marwah who alone with great enthusiasm discarded the views of the other speakers who were not earlier convinced that Indian films and entertainment industry is now Global. Relating poetry to the current situation he won the applause of the audience to maximum.

"We need to improve a lot on our marketing techniques" said Madhur Bhandrakar, "We are behind as far as our subjects are concerned" said Ashok Pandit. "We still have to nourish our talent to an international standard" said Mukesh Tyagi. "Even after all these drawback our films are watched by two sixth of the World, Indian songs are accepted every where, Industry is still growing, we are still getting awards in every festival and competitions, Indian Films are watched with great interest ,Indian artist are appreciated" said Sandeep Marwah while giving ample current examples. Later Sujata Dev paid vote of thanks to the panelist.

Marwah Studios Marked Its Presence At 62nd Cannes Film Festival

Marwah Studios, the promoters of Noida Film City of North India and the first private film School of India, Asian Academy Of Film And Television marked its presence at 62nd Cannes Film Festival, the biggest film festival and film networking platform of the world.
“I am proud to be associated with 62nd Cannes Film Festival through India Pavilion of Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Government of India handled by the oldest Chamber of India ASSOCHAM.” said Sandeep Marwah the president of Marwah Studios.”Our film Coffee House was one the twenty films screened at India Pavilion and Four Short films directed by students of AAFT were also shown. Sandeep Marwah has planned a full length feature film as coproduction under the banner of Marwah Studios with American film Director Karl Bardosh which will go on the floor at the end of this year .The news was announced at the inauguration of India Pavilion at 62nd Cannes Film festival.
