Acting Workshop by Vindu Dara Singh And Payal Goga Kapoor at AAFT


Noida: The most interesting course of Acting at Asian Academy of Film And Television became more happening when renowned actor Vindu Dara Singh took the Workshop with one year and short term acting students in the campus.

“ Learning whole heartedly is the key to training, and presenting that back is the second part of acting. Learning and presenting go hand in hand. I am amazed to see the quality of education at AAFT,” said Vindu Dara Singh while talking to the young actors.

A well known actress Payal Goga Kapoor was also the part of the training program designed for the students.” Diction, speech, good memory, and flexible body make a better actor. I am told that there are separate classes for each one. AAFT has the perfect course in Acting,” said Payal.

Payal Kapoor has been involved with Hindi and English Theatre for the last ten years. Dekho Magar Pyar Se, Gaj Foot Inch,and 3 Flights Down are some of the plays she has acted in. Payal has also acted in a couple of Urdu and Punjabi TV serials, and has played the main lead in an Indo Canadian film. Baat Baat Mein Bigdey Haalat, a new Hindi Comedy marks her debut as a Producer.

Vindu Dara Singh is popular for his films like Garv, Maine Pyaar Kyun Kiya, Partner, Khushboo, Team - The Force, Kisse Pyaar Karoon, Kambakkht Ishq, Maruti, Housefull and his long participation in serial Big Boss, Jai Veer Hanuman and Shh Koi Hai.

Acting Workshop At Bhutan By AAFT




Asian Academy of Film And Television (AAFT), Bhutan Chamber of Commerce & Industries in association with Department of Human Resource and Labour, Govt of Bhutan had organized a week long workshop on film acting to promote the young talents of Bhutan in the field of Film & TV industry. Mila Tobgyal of Mila communications was the coordinator of this workshop.

“Participants were selected from all over Bhutan. There were 31 participants, 12 females & 19 males in the workshop. The workshop on film acting was conducted at BCCI, Thimphu, Bhutan” informed Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director AAFT.

Sonam Rincheh, Director, Human Resource, Ministry of Labour & Human Resource, Govt. of Bhutan was the chief Guest who also inaugurated the workshop. Chhimi Dorjee, Director Human Resource, BCCI, Sherab, Secretary, Motion Pictures Association of Bhutan (MPAB) and other officers of BCCI were also present on this occasion.


“Workshop held in very cordial atmosphere. Classes were taken on yoga, body movements, actor & space, compositions, imagination, observation, sense memory, emotions, physical actions, expressions, improvisation, body language-dialogues etc. There was a remarkable growth in all the participants during the workshop.” said Satish Anand Dean Acting AAFT who mastered the workshop.

On the closing day all the participants were given certificates. Sonam Rincheh, Director, Human Resource, Ministry of Labour & Human Resource, Govt. of Bhutan had distributed the certificates. Organizers were very happy with the result of this workshop. . They said that the outcome of this workshop shows the high quality of education at AAFT .

Asian School Of Performing Arts has Given Another Star

“It has been proved once again that education and training in acting does matter when Ahran Chaudhary signed feature film after the successful winning of Mr. Gladrags 2010” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of Asian School of Performing Arts of AAFT while talking to the press and students of Asian Academy of Film And Television at Noida Film City.

“I am complete with AAFT training. Now I can face the World” said Ahran Chaudhary the handsome good looking hero of the forthcoming film ‘The Black Rose’ to be produced by ‘One Move Up Entertainment’ from South Africa directed by Sujeet Kulkerni who has already been director of more than 100 advertisement films and popular music videos like ‘Atma’, ‘Safar’ etc

“I was looking for a face who can fit into the lead character of my film and when I saw Ahran, it served the purpose, the best part is that he is trained too” said Surjeet who has managed to sign with Warner Brothers for the marketing of the film world wide.

The film is going to be on the floor this year with Naseerudin Shah, Gyattri Dattar as lead lady, Vishal Kaushik and many more. Ahran thanked his alma matter for everything, Later Sandeep Marwah presented the life membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT to Ahran Chaudhary, Gyattri Dattar and Sujeet kulkerni.

Education Takes You To A Better Platform-Sandeep Marwah




“It is very important for creative persons to go through a proper education and training in acting or any other discipline so that they can grow better and start from a higher platform in life” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of Asian School of performing Arts of AAFT while congratulating Ahran Chaudhary a pass out of the school.

“Time has come when I would like to prove to my Institution that I can do it and the hard and honest efforts what my teachers have put- in are on the right direction” said Ahran Chaudhary who has won the title of MR GLADRAGS 2010 in Mumbai this month.

The institution Asian School Of Performing Arts of AAFT is celebrating the success of its student Ahran Chaudhary and going to facilitate him at the campus soon. Sandeep Marwah will be handing over the life membership of International Film And Television club IFTC to him on the day of event.

It’s like coming back home-Seema Biswas




The leading lady and the supporting actress of many films, Seema Biswas who started her first feature film Bandit Queen Phoolan Devi from Marwah Studios in 1993 with Shekhar Kapur as director, turned emotional while talking to the students of Asian Academy of Film And Television, school of performing arts and school of media studies in the master class when she said that “It’s like coming home after many years. I have remembered each and every wall of Marwah Studios where I had spent three months”

“I am proud that Seema Biswas has considered Marwah Studios as her first school of film acting. ‘Bandit Queen Phoolan Devi’ became one of the most popular Indian International Film.” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of Asian Education Group while appreciating the works of this lady and her achievements.

Answering to the questions Seema Biswas narrated many consequences of her life with real experiences to the students of acting who all were amazed with her talent. Her role in Khamoshi, Hazar Churasia ki maa, Bhoot, Ghaav, Company, Pinjar, Water were discussed in detail.

“Seema Biswas is a very sensitive actress and gets deeply into the character” said Satish Anand dean Acting highlighting her love for theatre. Others who spoke on the occasion were Kalyan Sarkar dean AAFT, Latika Sahani dean ABS and R.K.Singh dean ASMS. To honor Seema Biswas Sandeep Marwah presented her the life membership of International Film And Television Club of AAFT.

Veteran And Talented Actor Kiran Kumar At AAFT




“Acting is like a prayer, and preparation for it is like devotion” said veteran Actor Kiran Kumar who started his carrier under his father’s blessings, Jeevan who happens to be renowned actor himself. “Believe in yourself and give your self totally to your director with full faith” he added. “Respect your teachers, your institution and your parents, their blessings can take you to any heights” Kiran said while answering the questions of young actors learning at Asian School of Performing Arts at AAFT.

“It is our proud privilege that a very talented actor is giving life time experience notes to our students of Performing Arts.” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah studios and Director of Asian School of Performing Arts while handing over life membership of International Film And Television Club of Asian Academy of Film And Television to Kiran Kumar.

Kiran Kumar a Filmfare award winner has already worked in more than 80 Gujrati Films, 400 Hindi Feature Films including Julie, Aisi Deewangi, LOC Kargil, Aandhi, Junoon, Gaddar, Khuda Gawah, Henna, and 5500 episodes of different serials already telecasted at every popular channel .He is running his own event management company and a well known production house.

The film and television students were more than happy to interact with the film personality at length. The event was attended by the deans and faculties of the school and supported by International Film And Television Research Centre, Radio Noida and IPBF.

Asian School Of Performing Arts Promoted By AAFT


The management and the board of Asian Academy of Film and Television, the first private film school of the country have decided to create a separate entity for the acting school of its education society under the name and banner of ‘Asian School of performing Arts’

“It is very important to emphasis the acting course separately as there is a huge requirement of good trained actors in film and television business” said Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Director of AAFT. “We need good performers even for our own films. We are providing 100 percent placements to our actors, we are conscious about their involvement” Marwah added.

“I am keen in the progress of acting students as there is no dearth of work for actors in film and television industry. They have to be groomed well and should technically fit.” said the star producer Boney Kapoor.

The acting classes will be conducted by the experts and masters of acting from India and Abroad. Some of the renowned names from all over the World have already given their consent to be part of the training program. The course has been designed by board consisting of Star Anil Kapoor, Satish Kaushik, Karl Bardosh of Tisch School of The Arts,NYU and others. AAFT is backed by Indian Film Industry.

The acting students will be provided films by Marwah Films and Video Productions. Asian School of Performing Arts will be supported by Radio Noida 107.4FM, International Film And Television Club, International Film And Television Research Centre, International Children’s Film Forum and International Public Broadcasting Forum.
