New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, National Chair of the Media & Entertainment Committee of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Government of India, chaired an important committee meeting in New Delhi to deliberate on strengthening quality standards, promoting innovation, and advancing best practices across India’s rapidly growing Media & Entertainment sector.

The meeting brought together eminent professionals, industry experts, policymakers, technical specialists, and representatives from the media and entertainment ecosystem to review ongoing initiatives and discuss the formulation and implementation of standards that will enhance quality, efficiency, safety, and global competitiveness within the industry.

During the meeting, the Committee deliberated on emerging technologies, digital transformation, content production standards, broadcasting, animation, visual effects, gaming, and other evolving segments of the Media & Entertainment industry. The discussions also focused on aligning Indian standards with international benchmarks while encouraging innovation and supporting the growth of creative industries.

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, Founder of Noida Film City, and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media and Arts, has been renominated as the Chair of the Media & Entertainment Committee and Member of the Service Sector Division Council (SSDC) of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India.

Through AAFT University and various national and international forums, he has consistently worked towards the promotion of professional excellence and global cooperation in the creative industries.

New Delhi: Dr. Sandeep Marwah, Chair of the Media & Entertainment Committee and Member of the Service Sector Division Council (SSDC) of the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, Government of India, attended an important meeting of the Service Sector Division Council held recently in New Delhi.

The meeting brought together Chairpersons and representatives of various departments functioning under the Service Sector Division Council to deliberate on the development, implementation, and strengthening of standards across diverse service sectors in India.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah emphasized the growing importance of standardization in the Media and Entertainment industry. He highlighted that well-defined standards contribute significantly to quality enhancement, professional excellence, global competitiveness, and consumer confidence. Shri Rajneesh Khosla, Scientist-F and Head of the Service Sector Department (SSD), BIS, elaborated on the ongoing initiatives undertaken by BIS to strengthen service sector standards. The meeting witnessed active participation from Chairpersons and members representing different committees and departments under the Service Sector Division Council. This Committee, established to oversee and support the works and progress of various service committees responsible for creating and formulating standards across different segments of the service sector, marks a notable recognition of Dr. Marwah’s expertise and contribution.
