Session at 2nd Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2018

Noida: The 2^nd Global Fashion And Design Week Noida 2018 today started its national and international activities with full new energy to create a wonderful position for the festival in international market.

Last week festival started with the curtain raiser when 54 delegates from 24 countries of the World participated in Global Summit on ‘Skill Development in Fashion And Design Industry’ in association with Ministry of External Affairs and Ministry of Skill Development And Entrepreneurship.

“We are different from other fashion weeks as we have added a very important segment of Design to the fashion week. Design is a wider term and it includes garments, furniture, jewelry, interior designing, cars, buildings etc. and  has become now part of every industry on this earth,” introduced Sandeep Marwah President of 2^nd GFDW-2018.

 President PHD Chamber of Commerce And Industry Anil Khaitan along with former Haryana Minister Krishna Murti Hudda, International Marketing Manager at The Handicrafts and Handlooms Exports corporation of India Limited K.C.Shakdwepee, Jwelery Designer Abhishek Tiwari, Film personality Pradeep Kukerja, a renowned acchitect Aashish Sharma, Mrs IndiaUniverse-Style Icon Babita Choudhury inaugurated the first Session.

Every one expressed their definition of fashion and design and shared their experience of the industry.Later Sandeep Marwah presented al the delegates with memento of 2ndGFDWN 2018 and Ritu Lall paid vote of thanks. The formal function followed by a grand fashion show by the students of AAFT School of Fashion And Design.

The 3 day fashion and design week showcased Painting, furniture and jewelry exhibitions. There were workshops, seminars, interactions, screening of films, fashion shows and entertainment programs. The delegates from all over India and abroad have registered them for the shows. 160 designers participated with around 700 dresses presented in 9 major shows in 63 segments.

The festival director Ritu Lal said, ”We are very keen in developing and promoting young talent of this country. Many new designers have taken keen interest in the show”. ICMEI-International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry supports the event in association with AAFT School of Fashion And Design.

Noida: 2^nd Global Fashion Week Noida 2018 inaugurated with great pomp and show by people of National and international importance in the presence of large number of delegates from all over India and different countries of the World.

“There is need to bring the talent of this country to higher level. The talent must work for the nation and not only work abroad. We are promoting all kind of designers be a fashion, furniture, jewelry or interior. AAFT School of Fashion and Design leaving no stone unturned to provide education at international level,” said Sandeep Marwah on the inaugural session on the first day of 2^nd Global Fashion Week Noida 2018.

High Commissioner of Malaysia H.E Dato Hidayat Abdul Hamid, Ambassador of Gambia H.E Jainaba Jagne, renowned beauty queen Shahnaz Husain, former, Miss Universe Teen Srishti Kaur , Mrs India Finalist 2015 Deepti Chibber and Interior Designer Shailender Sharma jointly inaugurated the fashion and design week by lighting the  ceremonial lamp.

“Fashion is beauty of mind, soul and body. Use those things, which will enhance your internal beauty,” said Sandeep Marwah President of Fashion Design Week.

“There is a huge advancement in the science and there is no harm in using the soft and appropriate techniques to enhance fashion in our own life be it clothing, beauty, and looks, be it your internal self,” said Padma Shri Shahnaz Hussain known for her beauty products with 400 centres around the World.

“This is the first time we are participating in fashion week, next time I would love to have team from my country to be part of the ramp. The launching of Indo Malaysian Cultural Forum today, is the beginning of many activities together,” said H.E. Dato Hidayat Abdul Hamid High Commissioner of Malaysia to India nominating Sandeep Marwah as Chair to the forum.

“It is a powerful occasion to launch Indo Gambia Cultural Forum. This is a major event for us. From here we will create more buzz of our relationship,” added H.E. Jainaba Jagne Ambassador of Gambia to India while nominating Marwah as chair for the forum.

“I am back to my Alma Matter. The love and respect, which I have received, has added to my international reputation. Good education and hard work always pay in life,” said Srishti Kaur AAFT Alumna and former Miss Universe Teen.

Later Sandeep Marwah honored H.E. Dato Hidayat Abdul Hamid with Patron ship of Indo Malaysian Film And Cultural Forum and H.E. Jainaba Jagne with the Patron ship of Indo Gambia Film And Cultural Forum. A life membership of International Film And Television Research Centre was presented to Srishti Kaur former Miss Universe Teen. The memento of the festival was handed over to the entire guests.

A brochure containing information of passing out students of AAFT School of Fashion And Design was released from the same stage. The exhibition of furniture was opened immediately after the formal inauguration. Director Festival Ritu Lal paid vote of thanks.

Noida: The Global Summit on skill development in fashion and design industry was attended by the delegates from Afghanistan, Algeria, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Ethiopia, Jamaica, Niger, Sri Lanka, Syria, Tajikistan, Tunisia, Mauritius, Malawi, Nigeria, Tanzania, Uganda, Belarus, Cambodia, Guatemala, Turkmenistan, Kenya, South Africa and India.

The summit was a curtain raiser to the forth coming 2^nd Global Fashion Week in Noida. “We are learning today how to project an international event like Global Fashion Week from ICMEI and AAFT,” said Farzona Mamadbekova delegate from Tajikistan while launching the poster of 2ndGFW-Global Fashion Week Noida 2018.

“What a learning today! so many countries and so much to learn from every delegate. We all wish that Global Fashion Week be a great success,” added Tali Soumia delegate from Algeria.

“Fashion is a growing industry all over the world. A serious thought can bring huge employment to youth. I am happy Marwah Studios is on the right path. We support Marwah in his endeavor,” said Paul Combasset Koumba delegate from Niger.

“The colorful poster we have launched and we all wish a very colorful Global Fashion Week Noida next Month. Global Summit on Fashion has indeed a curtain raiser for the Global Fashion Week,” expressed Fares Abbar delegate from Syria.

Later Sandeep Marwah honored every delegate with the life membership of World Peace Development And Research Foundation. He also presented memento of the summit to every participating country. Delegates were amazed by the work Marwah has done in the field of films, media, art and culture. They all together titled and nominated   him as Global Art And Cultural Minister.

Noida: The second edition of Global Fashion & Design Week is scheduled for 12^th to 14^th April, 2018 at Marwah Studios, Noida Film City for the people to participate from fashion schools, fashion designers, fashion lovers and professionals from the industry.

The renowned international media personality Sandeep Marwah has been nominated as the President of the festival consisting of not only fashion shows but design exhibitions, workshops, seminars, talks, book releases etc. In total 21 different events have been planned for this great grand show.

IFTC- International Film And Television Club, IFTRC- International Film And Television Research Centre, IPBF- International Public Broadcasting Forum, IWFF- International Women’s Film Forum, ICFF- International Children’s Film Forum, ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry and IJC- International Journalism Centre have already joined hands with this popular event.
