New Delhi, __ — The World Peace Development and Research Foundation (WPDRF) organized a special interaction dedicated to the theme “Love, Peace and Unity Through Art and Culture.” The session featured an engaging exchange between Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of WPDRF, and Armen Narayan, a renowned Personal Development Coach, Educator, Scientist, and University of Pennsylvania affiliate hailing from Armenia.

Addressing the gathering, Dr. Sandeep Marwah emphasized the transformative power of art and culture in building global harmony. He stated that sustained dialogue, cultural exchange, and inclusive collaborations are essential to fostering peace across borders. ICMEI Welcomes Armenian Delegation at Marwah Studios to Strengthen Bilateral Cultural Ties

Noida, India : The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI), in association with the Indo Armenia Film and Cultural Forum, extended a warm welcome to a distinguished delegation from Armenia at Marwah Studios, led by Ms. Nvard Chalikyan of the Applied Policy Research Institute, Armenia.

The visit marked a significant step towards enhancing cultural, cinematic, and media cooperation between India and Armenia.

During the interaction, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of ICMEI, expressed a strong commitment to working collaboratively with Armenian film, media, art, and cultural organizations. He briefed Ms. Chalikyan on ICMEI’s ongoing initiatives in partnership with the Embassy of Armenia in India, including international festivals focusing on film, journalism, fashion, and literature.

Noida, 21st April: The Indo Armenia Film and Cultural Forum, in collaboration with the Embassy of Armenia and ICMEI, commemorated the illustrious legacy of filmmaker Sergei Parajanov on the occasion of his centenary celebration. The event, held at Marwah Studios, marked a poignant tribute to the visionary artist whose contributions continue to resonate within the realms of cinema and culture.

The highlight of the evening was the screening of Sergei Parajanov’s debut masterpiece, “The Color of Pomegranates,” a film revered for its poetic storytelling and visual splendor. As the audience immersed themselves in Parajanov’s cinematic universe, they were transported through a kaleidoscope of imagery and emotions, reflecting the rich tapestry of Armenian culture.

Speaking at the event, Ashok Dhingra, a distinguished filmmaker and associate dean of AAFT, shed light on Sergei Parajanov’s unparalleled creativity and his significant impact on the cinematic landscape. Noida:  In a gesture of goodwill and to strengthen the bonds of friendship between India and Armenia, the International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) takes immense pleasure in presenting a scholarship from the Asian Academy of Film & Television (AAFT), a prestigious institution in India, to the Ambassador of Armenia to India.

The scholarship, extended to a deserving student from Armenia, encompasses enrolment in any one of the creative short-term courses offered by AAFT, along with boarding and lodging facilities for a duration of three months. This initiative aims to foster cultural exchange and educational cooperation between the two nations, laying the foundation for a lasting partnership.

India and Armenia Friendship is Forever- Sandeep Marwah


Mumbai: In order to strengthen bilateral relations between India and Armenia – Visions Ahead Foundation today conducted an interactive Humanitarian Webinar on Peace, Prosperity and Positive Arenas of Integrations between India and Armenia.

“There is nothing more than the art and culture which can bring people together. I have tried and tested for many years that you can bring love, peace and unity only through art and culture. To develop and promote relation between India and Armenia we have create ‘Indo Armenia Film And Cultural Forum’ and this organization is  putting its best to bring the people of two countries close to each other,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and Chancellor of AAFT University of Media And Arts as the keynote speaker.

“We have joined hands with the Embassy of Armenia as our partners and the association has H.E. Armen Martirosyan Ambassador of Armenia to India as its patron. Large number of events covering films,  recitals, festivals, workshops on tourism, political and cultural relations have already taken place including scholarship to the student from Armenia and our visit to Armenia,” added DR. Marwah also Chair for Indo Armenia Film And Cultural Forum.

Media Expert Onkareshwar Pandey, Prof. Kavita Thapliyal, along with leading Professionals from Armenia Hayk Grigoryan, Gabriel Armas, Vahae Ohanian,  Elena Khachvankyan,  Levon Rshtuni, Arin, Nehil Sharma and Vahae Ohanian  expressed their views on the subject in details.

“As you know in times of turbulence, positivity and hope helps in building relationships and harmony among individuals and nations. This is a small step towards the same thinking,” said Manjul Thapiyal of Vision Ahead Foundation and paid vote of thanks.

Music Recital by Rajinder Prasanna at 6th Global Literary Festival


New Delhi: An electrifying performance by Rajinder Prasanna was the most fascinating part of 6th Global Literary Festival Noida 2020 on web when the whole World was associated to the festival via different means and modes of social media on the last day of the festival.

The intimation of the festival was sent across to almost million people all over the World, More than 60 countries were participating in a well-designed 12 main and 12 sub events during three days of the festival. Around two hundred thousand people visited the festival where more than seventy thousand viewed the programs.

Sandeep Marwah founder of Noida Film City and President Marwah Studios presented one of the most prestigious Atal Bihari Bajpayee National Award For Promotion of Art And Culture to Rajinder Prasanna for his untiring contribution to art and culture especially to music.

Present on the occasion in the capacity of Chief Guest H.E. Armen Martirosyan Ambassador of Armenia to India said,”Art and culture is the straight link to the heart of people.We must learn to respect the art and culture of other countries. It is another way to learn about people of the country,”.

Rajendra Prasanna is an important figure in the world of Indian music and culture. He is foremost exponent of Bansuri & Shehnai and a celebrated artist recognized for his unique ability to perform on two instruments at a topmost level. It is indeed a very rare skill in the field of Hindustani music. He hails from Benaras and comes from a traditional family of musicians of renowned Benaras Gharana. He preserves, exercises and performs the old traditional music and arts of India which has been retained with his family since many generations.

Felicitated with Grammy Award certificate in 2004, Rajendra Prasanna became an international personality. He has performed across the globe, including appearance at renowned festivals and venues in many different countries of Europe, Asia, America, Africa and Australia such as Edinburgh festival in UK, UNO headquarters in Switzerland and WOMAD festivals in Australia, New Zealand, Sydney Opera House, Melbourne recital centre, Opera de Lyon (France) etc.

Lifetime Achievement Award at 6th Global Literary Festival Noida


New Delhi: The management and jury of awards at 6th Global Literary Festival Noida 2020 announced two lifetime achievement awards for the giant in literature on the third and final day of the festival.

The first award went to Dr.Mridula Garg. She is an Indian writer who writes in Hindi and English languages. She has published 30 books in Hindi – novels, short story collections, plays and collections of essay – of which she has rendered three into English. She is a recipient of the Sahitya Akademy Award. The award was presented by H.E. Armen Martirosyan Ambassador of Armenia to India.

Her style of writing is unconventional, in the face and gripping. Her novels have won critical and popular acclaim for the audacity of their themes and the lyricism of their style. Her novels and stories have been translated into a number of Indian and foreign languages like German, Czech, Japanese and English. She has been a columnist, writing on environment, women issues, child servitude and literature.

The second award was for Dr. Mamta Kalia. She is a prominent Indian writer known for her invaluable contribution towards literature in form of short stories, plays, novels, essays and poetry. Born in 1940 in Vrindavan, Kalia, 77, received MA in English from Delhi University before taking up lectureship at SNDT University in Mumbai. Kalia has 11 novels to her credit. H.E. Armen Martirosyan Ambassador of Armenia to India congratulated Dr. Mamta while presenting the award.

Dr. Sushil Bharti paid gratitude to both the writers for their deep involvement and huge contribution to the literature. “the presence of Dr. Mridula Garg and Dr. Mamta Kalia has added a lot to the festival. We will be needing your blessings to do bigger and better next time,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah.

The awards were presented by Dr. Sandeep Marwah Founder of Noida Film City and President of Global Literary Festival Noida. The program was broadcasted live.
