Egypt-Inspired Collection by Designer Tusharika Chaudhary Enthralls Audience at 10th Global Fashion and Design Week

Noida, Film City: The 10th Global Fashion and Design Week witnessed yet another spectacular presentation on Day 1 | 3rd Show | Sequence 5, as designer Tusharika Chaudhary unveiled a mesmerizing collection inspired by the rich heritage of Egypt. The show was organized by ICMEI in association with AAFT School of Fashion and Design at Marwah Studios, Film City Noida, as part of the grand celebrations of Asian Unity Day on 2nd April by the Asian Unity Alliance.

The fashion showcase, supported by the Indo Egypt Film and Cultural Forum, brought alive the magnificence of Ancient Egypt through a contemporary lens. The collection beautifully translated the concept of balance and divine beauty into fashion, drawing deeply from Egypt’s timeless legacy.

The ensembles were a striking blend of structured silhouettes and fluid drapes, enhanced with intricate detailing. The prominent use of gold accents, pleated textures, and bold statement adornments echoed the grandeur of royal Egyptian aesthetics. Each outfit symbolized a harmonious fusion of power, spirituality, and timeless sophistication, leaving the audience captivated.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Brand Ambassador of BRICS+ Fashion, emphasized the importance of cultural exchange through fashion. He stated, “Fashion is a universal language that connects civilizations. Presentations like these not only celebrate creativity but also strengthen cultural ties between nations, in this case, India and Egypt.”

The show was attended by a distinguished gathering of diplomats, designers, media professionals, and art enthusiasts from across the globe, making it a truly international platform for creative expression.

The 10th Global Fashion and Design Week continues to reinforce its position as a global hub for fashion, design, and cultural diplomacy, promoting unity, diversity, and innovation through the creative arts.

New Delhi, 22nd July 2025: The International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) extends its warmest congratulations to His Excellency Kamel Zayed Kamel Galal, Ambassador of Egypt to India, and to the people of the Arab Republic of Egypt on the proud occasion of Egypt’s National Day, celebrated on 22nd July.

Marking the occasion, Dr. Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios and Chair of the Indo-Egypt Film and Cultural Forum, highlighted the strong and growing cultural ties between India and Egypt. “Egypt is a nation with a rich and inspiring legacy of art, history, and civilization. Through the Indo-Egypt Film and Cultural Forum, we are working to build stronger bridges between our countries by promoting cultural diplomacy, film exchanges, and artistic collaboration,” said Dr. Marwah.

The Indo-Egypt Film and Cultural Forum, under the guidance of ICMEI, has initiated a variety of programs aimed at promoting bilateral cooperation, including: the visit of Dr Sandeep Marwah to Cairo in Egypt where he was honoured for his World Record in Cinema. Film festivals and cultural exchange events, Scholarship opportunities for Egyptian students interested in creative arts, Special media content on radio and television platforms, Tourism and cultural showcases featuring Egypt’s heritage in India, Participation in global events such as Global Film Festival, Global Fashion Week, and Global Literary Festival are some of them.

“Egypt has been an esteemed partner in many of our global initiatives,” Dr. Marwah added. “We are committed to deepening the collaboration between our nations through the universal language of cinema and culture.”

Indo Egypt film and Cultural Forum has grown big in all these years. The visit of Dr Sandeep Marwah has added a lot to the relation between the two countries. Dr Marwah is one of the very few film makers who had been honoured at Cairo International Film Festival for his numerous international records in films and media.

Recently Indo Egypt Film And Cultural Forum has handed over a scholarship for the deserving student from Egypt to learn cinema at AAFT. The country of Egypt has been part of our all international events including Global Film Festival, Global Fashion Week, Global Festival of Journalism ad Global Literary Festival added Marwah.

National Day of Egypt Celebrated at ICMEI


New Delhi: “I on behalf of ICMEI and media and entertainment industry of India extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E.  Dr. Heba Salah Eldin Elmarassi  Ambassador of Egypt to India and people of Egypt on the occasion of National Day which falls on 23rd July. May India and Egypt remain best of friends for ever,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And entertainment Industry in a webinar celebrating National Day of Arab Republic of Egypt.

The  National Day of Egypt is celebrated on July, 23 which coincides with the annual celebration of the Egyptian Revolution of 1952 when the modern republic of Egypt was declared, ending the period of the Kingdom of Egypt.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah one of the first Indians to be honoured in Cairo International Film Festival in 2010. He is also chairing Indo Egypt Film And Cultural Forum created many years back in association with the Embassy of Egypt in New Delhi, to develop and promote relations between two countries through art and culture.

Large number of programs have been organized now and then under cultural exchange including scholarship to the student from Egypt to study cinema at Asian Academy of Film And Television.

Seminar on Opportunities in Creative Arts at AAFT


Noida: An interesting seminar on opportunities in creative arts was designed by ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry in association with WASME- World Association of Small And Medium Enterprises at Marwah Studios for professionals and creative students of AAFT.

“India is a large country and you have so many creative arts. Every art needs to be protected. There is an unbelievable scope for Indians to get involve with government and private jobs and small and medium enterprises. Little unique idea can be successful in this country. India and Egypt are working very closely when it comes to art ad culture,” said Dr. Mohamed Shoukr Nada Cultural Counselor at Embassy of Republic of Egypt.

“We are now almost associated with 6000 events of all genre in films, television, media, fine arts, creative arts, performing arts to generate employment in the country. We are supporting the industry through our Radio Station, Television Station and Event Management Company etc. The industry needs people with great enthusiasm and zest,” added Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI and AAFT University.

Vikas Nangia of TV Asia USA, Jaguriti Dress Designer, Lavlin Thadani AAFT Alumni & Film Maker, Raj K.P.Singh of Scouts and Guides Organization, Bharat Gaba of Shoobh also spoke on the occasion. Sanjeev Layek Executive Secretary WASME paid vote of thanks to all the speakers.

Later Dr. Sandeep Marwah President ICMEI honored the dignities with the life membership of World Peace Development And Research Foundation of AAFT.

New Delhi; International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry extends its heartiest congratulations to the country of Egypt on its National Day falls on 23rd July.

I on behalf of Indian Media and Entertainment Industry take this pleasure to congratulate the people of Egypt on their National Day. Mat our friendship grow every day,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

“We have wonderful relations with Egypt. I had the honor to be the state guest of Government of Egypt during 33rd Cairo International Film Festival. I had the pleasure to be the Chair of Indo Egypt Cultural Forum created by the Ambassador of Egypt to India,” added Marwah while releasing the poster of National Day.

 Modern Egypt–India relations go back to the contacts between Saad Zaghloul and Mahatma Gandhi on the common goals of their respective movements of independence. In 1955, Egypt under Gamal Abdel Nasser and India under Jawaharlal Nehru became the founders of the Non-Aligned Movement.
