Marwah Studios and ICMEI Join Hands with AL-AWDAH International Film Festival for a Unique Indo-Egyptian Cinematic Collaboration

Noida, India: The Directorate of Film Festivals of Marwah Studios in association with International Chamber of Media and Entertainment Industry (ICMEI) has joined hands with the prestigious AL-AWDAH International Film Festival to organize a unique international film festival simultaneously in Cairo and Noida.

The festival will showcase the same selection of films from Palestine, United Kingdom, United States, and India, symbolizing global unity, artistic collaboration, and cultural exchange through the medium of cinema.

On this occasion, Sandeep Marwah, President of Marwah Studios, officially launched the first poster of the international film festival during a humble yet vibrant ceremony held at Marwah Studios in Noida Film City.

Speaking at the launch, Dr. Sandeep Marwah said, “Cinema has the power to unite people beyond borders, languages, and cultures. This collaboration with AL-AWDAH International Film Festival is another step towards strengthening international cultural relations and promoting peace, friendship, and understanding through films.”

The first ever event received enthusiastic support from the Indo Palestine Film and Cultural Forum and Indo Egypt Film and Cultural Forum of ICMEI, which has consistently worked towards enhancing cultural and artistic relations between India and Palestine.

The joint initiative reflects the growing commitment of Marwah Studios and ICMEI towards promoting international cinema and providing a global platform to meaningful films from across the world. The simultaneous screenings in Egypt and India are expected to create a powerful cultural bridge connecting filmmakers, artists, and audiences from multiple nations.

The ceremony witnessed the presence of media professionals, filmmakers, artists, and cultural enthusiasts who appreciated the initiative aimed at fostering global harmony through cinematic excellence.

ICMEI Celebrated Independence Day of Egypt

New Delhi: “I on behalf of Indian Media and Entertainment Industry and Art & Culture Fraternity of India take this opportunity to extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E.  Dr. Heba Salah Ambassador of Egypt to India and the people of Egypt on the occasion of Independence Day which falls on 23rd July,” said Dr Sandeep Marwah President of Marwah Studios and ICMEI- International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry celebrating the day at the Chamber.

Indo Egypt film and Cultural Forum has grown big in all these years. The visit of Dr Sandeep Marwah has added a lot to the relation between the two countries. Dr Marwah is one of the very few film makers who had been honoured at Cairo International Film Festival for his numerous international records in films and media.

Recently Indo Egypt Film And Cultural Forum has handed over a scholarship for the deserving student from Egypt to learn cinema at AAFT. The country of Egypt has been part of our all international events including Global Film Festival, Global Fashion Week, Global Festival of Journalism ad Global Literary Festival added Marwah.

National Day of Egypt Celebrated at ICMEI


New Delhi: “I on behalf of ICMEI and media and entertainment industry of India extend my heartiest congratulations to H.E.  Dr. Heba Salah Eldin Elmarassi  Ambassador of Egypt to India and people of Egypt on the occasion of National Day which falls on 23rd July. May India and Egypt remain best of friends for ever,” said Dr. Sandeep Marwah President of International Chamber of Media And entertainment Industry in a webinar celebrating National Day of Arab Republic of Egypt.

The  National Day of Egypt is celebrated on July, 23 which coincides with the annual celebration of the Egyptian Revolution of 1952 when the modern republic of Egypt was declared, ending the period of the Kingdom of Egypt.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah one of the first Indians to be honoured in Cairo International Film Festival in 2010. He is also chairing Indo Egypt Film And Cultural Forum created many years back in association with the Embassy of Egypt in New Delhi, to develop and promote relations between two countries through art and culture.

Large number of programs have been organized now and then under cultural exchange including scholarship to the student from Egypt to study cinema at Asian Academy of Film And Television.

ICMEI Delegation Visited Embassy of Egypt

New Delhi: A delegation of International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry comprising of President Dr. Sandeep Marwah and Secretary General Ashok Tyagi visited Embassy of Egypt to India and met the Cultural Councilor there.

“We welcome you to Egyptian Embassy and are well aware of ICMEI and Sandeep Marwah deep rooted association with our country. Dr. Marwah has extended enough cooperation and contribution to this association,” said Ahmed Ibrahim Aly Minister Plenipotentiary.

Dr. Sandeep Marwah has been the first person to bring award from Cairo International Film Festival ten years back. He has been Chairing Indo Egyptian Cultural Forum from last ten years. He has entertained many Egyptian artists and important visitors at his well-known film studios.

“The visit to Egyptian Embassy has revived our relations today. We will plan more events and interactions to develop and promote relation between two countries,” said Dr. Marwah. The Commercial Councilor, were also welcome the delegation.

A Patronship of Indo Egypt Cultural Forum was handed over to H.E. Dr Heba Elmarassi, Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to the Republic of India and the Kingdom of Bhutan.

New Delhi; International Chamber of Media And Entertainment Industry extends its heartiest congratulations to the country of Egypt on its National Day falls on 23rd July.

I on behalf of Indian Media and Entertainment Industry take this pleasure to congratulate the people of Egypt on their National Day. Mat our friendship grow every day,” said Sandeep Marwah President of ICMEI.

“We have wonderful relations with Egypt. I had the honor to be the state guest of Government of Egypt during 33rd Cairo International Film Festival. I had the pleasure to be the Chair of Indo Egypt Cultural Forum created by the Ambassador of Egypt to India,” added Marwah while releasing the poster of National Day.

 Modern Egypt–India relations go back to the contacts between Saad Zaghloul and Mahatma Gandhi on the common goals of their respective movements of independence. In 1955, Egypt under Gamal Abdel Nasser and India under Jawaharlal Nehru became the founders of the Non-Aligned Movement.
